  1. Finally took some time to edit the massive backlog of pics I have saved on my computer. Got a little bored, decided to screw around with the hue setting on some of my older pics, and stumbled into these "interesting" color-schemes: 1) YF-21 in the VF-11's color scheme (sorta ): 2) Brera Sterne going old school:
  2. From the album: Mog's Yammy Collection

Futzed around with the hue on some old pics and stumbled upon this color scheme.
  3. Talk to us after you've watched DS9. ----------------------------------- Finally watched the movie earlier today but am too lazy to go through every page of this thread. It was entertaining enough (Definitely, dug Kirk's smugness during the Kobayashi-Maru test). But didn't really enjoy those close-up and "shakey-cam" shots during the fights and battle scenes. Also, I found Nero to be a less-than-engaging villain. He just felt like some standard, cookie-cutter bad-guy who was evil just for the sake of the plot.
  4. ^^Bellyplates and the battroid face are different, if I remember correctly. Still have a thing for the -21 though. Being able to use the gunpods in fighter mode has its advantages.
  5. The "dark mystery" surrounding Shawn is not the man himself but rather whatever causes the forum server to go down or the boards to go offline. If something major and crazy on the technical side goes down with the MW boards, Shawn's the go-to guy that will get the board back up and running. He doesn't post all that much nowadays. But you'll usually see him pop up the first few days after the server has been upgraded or after the boards come back online after being down for awhile. While Graham gets us some news and info. from his Yamato contact(s) and the mods take care of the day-to-day running of the board, Shawn's the guy taking care of the more technical/server-related aspects of our little message board. I'm sure the older posters here can give you a much better and more in-depth biography of the man than I can though.
  6. I don't think anyone's snap a shot of the fighter combo from this angle before:
  7. Since no one has said it yet: At least, they're not like Toynami's overdone MPC boxes. In all seriousness, I would like it if they could be a little more stylish with their newer 1/60 boxes (I'm just looking at the ones in ff95gj's post). * Like how about putting TV Max 1A in the pose where he's gunning down Millia in Macross City? * Or how about putting the TV Hik' in the pose that he was in at the end of the opening (in front of the SDF-1 bridge)? * Or put Kakizaki in front of a hot, sizzling steak? I'm not saying the older box designs were always great. But every now and then, they'd hit on a solid design and scheme. Those 1/60 boxes on page 1 just all look too similar to one another. Mix up the poses, angles, and modes a little bit more. But of course, if the toy inside is crap, no amount of window dressing is gonna remove that stank.
  8. Ah hell, if we're talking about the BGS soundtracks, you've gotta add Prelude to War to the list of "must listen to" tracks. It was absolutely pitch perfect for the ending of the first Pegasus episode, and it's one of those non-stop, tension-building pieces that gets you ready for a FIGHT!!
  9. Yes, that trailer was mighty effin' entertaining. Didn't notice any of the signature yellow lightsabers of the Jedi Sentinels though. At the least the trailer showed off all of the major classes doing their thing (with the Republic troopers' main skill being saber and cannon fodder! ).
  10. Sorry to back up a little on this thread. But I gotta say: the person who posed Rey in these shots did one hell of an awesome job.
  11. * They Live. . . AGAIN!! * Batman 3 (rushed into production without Christopher Nolan directing) * Any Superman film that continues with Gene Hackman's version of Lex Luthor. (I want the cool, calm, yet ruthless Luthor from the DC Animated Universe!) * Highlander: Anything
  12. Wow, even after all these years, the original Night Raven still looks as solid as ever. A little out of scale of course, but still quite a beaut' to behold.
  13. But the olive-drab pilots are a tradition, an institution if you will for all the non-canon Valks Yamato makes.
  14. Not tempting enough for me personally. Random question though, has anyone tried to do a customized 1/60 Version 2 VF-1 yet? I think some of the kick-ass customizers on this board could show Yamato exactly what a truly creative and extraordinary color-scheme looks like. Force ol' Yamato to raise their game a bit. EDIT: Forgot about nylcbv's custom TV-style Max and Kakizaki. . .My bad.
  15. Damn, I got a sudden itch to play Gran Turismo. Wonder why? (Great pics BTW.)
  16. With that last pic from the above post, I remember Comico using that picture for one of their RT posters (except they removed Houquet and Yellow for some unknown reason).
  17. I think the whole "screwing up the potentially awesome Phoenix storyline" is what did it for me with X3. Even though it's been years since X3 came out, it still irks me to this day about what could have been with that film. (If only Bryan Singer had passed on Superman Returns and worked on X3 instead. ) With Wolverine, I already came in with lowered expectations and didn't expect too much. I understand why folks are annoyed with the film (the Deadpool crap, mutant cameos in almost every scene, etc.). But for me, my expectations going into both of these films had a major impact on my final impression of the two: X3 may have met my crappy expectations. But it only added to my separate disappointment about what could have been. I was expecting Wolverine to be even crappier than X3. And since I really wasn't all that invested in this movie, I could look past the crap I already expected and enjoy those minor parts of the film that were surprisingly good.
  18. Latest M+ display set-up (I forgot how fidgety the M+ fighters can be to transform): [Prior to the pics] Guld in fighter mode, coming in fast at Isamu from 5 o'clock high. Isamu pulls a variation of a cobra turn to evade. Guld counters by switching to Gerwalk to brake and take aim.
  19. Why didn't anyone here tell me about these earlier?!! NEW Bandai Nirvash Spec 2 The END Based on other figures in this Bandai Robot Damashii series, these things will probably be around 19 to 20 cm tall. And they're not model kits and do not require assembly. Credit to Toyark.com for bringing these to my attention.
  20. <sigh> The things I do for my wife . . . Roy: It's about damn time you did another photo-shoot. Roy: What the . . . Roy: You CAN'T be serious?! Roy: <sigh> Damn you, Mog . . .
