    Finished up Echo. It’s solid. This is the Kingpin we should have gotten. Kinda read about using Maya’s ancestors as a theme for each ep. But the overall story worked. The end of series stinger has potential. There’s obvious stories that can come out of this. But if this allows us to bring back the “Luke Cage Corleone” story, I’d be all for it!

    Shush! If they’re not going to make different colored ones, extra accessories would be a good way to differentiate themselves from the other Treads/Betas that came before.

    I’m just curious how they’ll pull off the cockpit and whether there’s enough room in it for a full sized pilot. . . . Oh and whether they’ll add some missiles for the wing hardpoints and some sort of gun for the big lug.

    For me personally, I think the latest offerings have lack some psychological/emotional punch. Or the creative team have pulled back on their punches for my personal tastes. With the Obi series, Obi and Vader should have been throwing verbal nukes at each other (Vader to break Obi completely. Obi to bring back the good in Anakin). The big fight (with more rocks) didn’t do much for me. In Ahsoka, both Ahsoka and Sabine are too good at hiding their emotions. Just because they’re Jedi now doesn’t mean they’re at peace and all their inner conflicts and emotional baggage are magically resolved. We’ve gotten bits and some resolution with Ahsoka, but nothing yet with Sabine. Bringing it back to Mando, there’s potential for a story there (I got an idea brewing). But would it work for a theatrical release? Not sure.

    Don’t forget that you still have a little Force-wielding maniac in the green kiddo. So, Jedi stuff will always be lurking on the sides, if not the forefront. Thrawn’s also lurking as the “big bad,” but not sure how to incorporate him into a Mando and Grogu-focused story.

    Stop me if you’ve heard this before, but it all depends on how good the story will be. The overall story arcs for Mando Season 3 and Ahsoka Season 1 were solid. But they just didn’t “connect” or hit as well as I would have hoped. Again, we’ll see how this turns out.

    It’s 2024. Is it too early to ask if Sentinel has colored prototype pics of their Tread?

    I always thought high-speed mode is where the tailfins point inward (towards the centerline) and the wings are angled slightly downward. And delimiter mode is where all the appendages (and tailfins) are launched off. 🤷🏽‍♂️

    I don’t know: no internet, no phone, no communications, no GPS, not even local TV. I could see things going to poop. Having home field advantage would help. But being in a vacation rental and out of your usual element would definitely make matters worse.

    Anyone watch Leave the World Behind? If you're into Sam Esmail's work, you'll enjoy this one. The story reminds me of this old Star Trek quote: Let me tell you something about Humans, Nephew. They’re a wonderful, friendly people, as long as their bellies are full and their holo-suites are working. But take away their creature comforts, deprive them of food, sleep, sonic showers, put their lives in jeopardy over an extended period of time and those same friendly, intelligent, wonderful people… will become as nasty and as violent as the most bloodthirsty Klingon. Also, there's a few subtle Mr. Robot Easter eggs in this movie.

    Slightly related, but did anyone ever produce a Q-Rau in TV colors? I know the old Yammy ones were not very popular back in the day. But you’d think someone would have taken a stab at it.

    Finally watched Cocaine Bear on Prime. Was it silly and stupid? Yes. But there are worse ways to entertain yourself. My only gripe is that the trailer showed the best bits. If there’s a sequel, they need to entitle it

    It’d be awesome if they slightly recolored Yellow and Houquet on these reissues (Yellow a lighter shade of blue. Houquet actually RED). But I suspect even that is too much of an ask.
