  1. ^^Regarding the last pic: Mommy Q-Rau would be so proud of her "kids"!
  2. From the album: Mog's Yammy Collection

You can still get a good pose out of the old 1/60's!
  3. It's amazing how just a little bit of panel-lining can really make a Valk pop. **************** You cannot escape the past. Or "I AM your future!"
  4. Couldn't see it there at first blush. But if you think about it, the poor YF-19 probably does suffers from "gunpod envy." The VF-11's got the bayonet. The YF-21 sports the dual-wielding action. Heck, even the original VF-1's got a bigger 'pod.
  5. YF-19: Freakin' gunpod show-offs!!
  6. Am I too much of a BSG nerd for putting this sticker on the Stealth? Or am I too much of a Macross freak for the "NO STEP" being the first thing I noticed about the Mark VII Vipers?
  7. Looking forward to it. It'll be interesting to see how the two-tone scheme looks in battroid.
  8. Slick-looking paint-scheme! Got any pics of battroid and Gerwalk modes? It always a nice change of pace to see someone skillfully pull off a non-VF-1 Yamato custom.
  9. Nice work, A7! It's just too bad there isn't that much artwork out there of Cathy. Somehow I think Ozma's ride would have her on the noseart instead of Sheryl.
  10. ^^Max: HEY!!! Get the FRAK out of the way!! Awesome work on the figures, EXO.
  11. ^^Aww, FRAK ME! Just tried to access it from Google. . . no luck. Where'd it go? EDIT: Looks like it's already being discussed in more detail here.
  12. Same thing for me. The site was getting moody for me around 6am to 7am PST today, taking forever to load. Usually when the site's running slow and I'm trying to access the main forum page, I see some "Downloading [something, something, something] .png" in the status bar. Not sure if it's related to the current problem.
  13. Found some close-up pics of the Resolute faces and headsculpts: http://www.cooltoyreview.com/TF2010/GIJoe/. Okay, I take back my comment about Scarlett's lips; they don't need to be any "pouty-er." But I think I realize now why I'm not feeling this version: in Resolute, Scarlett was always looking pissed off (or at least a little dour). This one instead has a "deer-in-the-headlights" look to her. Not a good look for Ms. O'Hara. It's like the first 25th Anniversary Lady Jaye all over again (where the eyes just killed the whole look of the face). However, upon closer inspection, it looks like Hasbro used a new headsculpt for the Resolute Flint. I was a little worried that they had just reused the 25th Anniversary version's head.
  14. Generally, you wouldn't get any argument from me on the above viewpoint. But for this specific figure, I'd have to disagree. Nothing about that facesculpt (or those lips) reminds me of Resolute Scarlett. I'm not saying they have to be big or even red. But making the lips a tad more pouty might've been a good first step to improving the facesculpt.
  15. Yup, that Baroness figure was one of the biggest reasons I finally caved in and purchased that third Cobra 5-pack. For once, I think a more animated look would have done this Scarlett figure better. The figure also needs those pouty lips that she had from the Resolute cartoon.
  16. I'm pretty sure Floyd Mayweather said the exact same thing!! Getting back on topic, Batman and Robin is probably one of the worst offenders. Also it seems like every third movie in ANY comic book series is usually pretty disappointing.
  17. Toynami never capitalizes on areas untapped in the Macross or Mospeada market. They never jumped at a chance to make the GBP-1S armor back in the day. They never made their own SDF-1 or re-released the Matchbox version with a few tweaks. They could have easily released a TV VF-1A Max (just a simple repaint for them), but they never did. While everyone in the 1/48, 1/55, and 1/60 scale sleeps on the enemy mechs, Toynami does NOTHING to take advantage of the situation. Although I'm thankful that Toynami finally released the Beta, their reputation and track record have taught me never to put any faith on them releasing anything groundbreaking or original.
  18. Judging by this teaser trailer ( ), I always thought this movie was never gonna take itself seriously.
  19. Looks like Toyark got pics of the Star Wars figures on display at Toy Fair. First the bad news: Damn you, Hasbro!! Just release a Bespin Han already. No one was clamoring for a Han wearing the Bespin outfit but sporting a huge-ass, thick parka! The new Luke definitely looks like Hasbro's way of saying, "Yeah. We screwed up with the first vintage Bespin Luke and his headsculpt. Hopefully, this one is more to your liking." Big improvement over the last Bespin Luke they released. And as Scream Man said earlier, that Hoth Leia is flat out awesome! Accurate facesculpt. Good articulation (though I'm a little worried if there's no ankle aritculation there ). And if that vest can come off easily, that's just gonna be bonus points in its favor.
  20. Or at least, get rid of the die-cast content. And ratchet-joint the shoulders! That's where the ratchets are truly needed. Regarding Maia's bird, it's too bad Toynami didn't make the shoulder sensor a grey color instead. The white just stands out too much on Maia's color-scheme.
  21. Along with a TV-style Roy and Hikaru, let's up the ante, and make them add ANOTHER Hikaru pilot. But make this second Hik' pilot have Misa sitting in his lap, post-Alaska Base rescue.
  22. Just when you think you've seen everything from Jack, he pulls the proverbial knife out of his gut and shows you just how hardcore is! If I was Leoben, I would stay away from kitchen knives, nearby airlocks, and obsessions with women who show no interest whatsoever in you. And after seeing the preview for next week's episode, why do I have the feeling Jack's gonna do a re-enactment of Lethal Weapon 1? That Russian goomba is so dead.
  23. ^^Did you find Snowspeeder Luke yet, Shin?
