Dusty as hell, but still been holding the crown of best Alpha-Beta/Legioss-Tread combo for the past decade and a half: Wonder how much longer it will hold on to that crown.
-
And no explanation of where the series may show up again? š¤·āāļø Kinda defeats the whole purpose of having a streaming service, if they keep removing content.

In this day and age of instant news, itās crazy that weāre only finding out now. Always remembered him as the dad from Good Times.
-
And I think we can all agree they made some horrible design choices with the Alpha: diecast in all the wrong places, whatever disintegrating material they used to make the hands, the brittle/refuses-to-stay-together-with-crazy-glue āmaterialā they made the hip joints out of, and the banana boat fighter mode a few were cursed with. Just to name a few. The Alphas were also always tricky to pose nicely in battloid mode and werenāt exactly the sturdiest of toys.

Is there anything we can reference back to about the Beta fighter though? I know I have pics of the prototype from Summer 2005. But I donāt recall the partnership with Aoshima and Toynami being announced until a year or so later.

Havenāt seen too many live versions of this song:

Looking over the Toynami, the rear landing gears are placed on the back half, on the block that has the center booster. Assuming the boom is only in the front block, there should be enough room in this rear block to house the landing gears. Now how to design it somewhat consistent with lineart and be able to hold up the bomberās weight? Thatās beyond my pay grade. š

Iām sure theyāll show more pics and features of the Tread in the upcoming months. Just the fact that theyāre showing colored prototype pics now and said theyāll be taking orders before the end of the year are good signs.

Gladiator III: Portugal Drift.

^^Pretty much. Itās also shows off that the design has fewer gaps and some of their improvements to the cockpit and connecting boom.

Surprised no one picked up on the bicep armor the Sentinels have but that the original show never had. Considering how snake-bit these Mospeada toylines have been, Iām just glad to have the main fourās Ride Armors up on display after all these years.

I know thereās some noticeable differences, but isnāt the Sentinel versions pretty damn close to the original designs? Biggest changes would be: * Getting rid of the HUD lines on the visor; * Removing the mudguard on the front wheels; * Adding cloth to cover each figureās torso; * Changing the bike headlights on Stig and Reyās rides; * Sanding off the grey bits on Yellowās missile bay covers; and * Repainting Houquet from that horrid hot pink to cherry red. Am I missing anything else?

Hopefully, theyāll pack in a nice plethora of accessories for the beast too!

^^Technically, we donāt have Rey yet, so Iād be curious if they include his bike as well. Also thereās definitely a slight change around the āneckā area, when you compare pics between soldier mode and bomber mode. Crazy that they pulled it off and seem to have enough space for a same-sized pilot in the cockpit. And itās interesting that the wings have hardpoints on both the top and bottom parts. Anything else weāre not picking up from the pics?

Yeah, that what we all seem to be seeing. A shorter boom is one of the benefits of Sentinelās design of the Legioss. Because the Legiossā feet/boosters collapse so compactly into the rest of the fighter body, you donāt need as a long of a boom to connect the two. Yes, there have been complaints about the Legioss stand-arm breaking. But it also gives you a sense of how long the connecting boom will be. . . which is surprisingly shorter than Toynamiās boom.

Pretty much. Itās clear where the Legioss is going to connect to the Tread (for the connecting boom at least). But wonder where the stand connection will be: on the Treadās connecting boom or on the back of the Tread itself? Also, for āgits and shiggles,ā I snapped a pic of the Toynami combo from a similar angle as the one done for Sentinelās rendition: Had to wipe off the dust her to make her look a little more presentable. š

Iām quietly waiting for them to give us specs and measurements. Hopefully they have a stand planned to hold this combined bad-boy up.

^^Yup, was worried I was gonna be stuck with this avatar for a long while. š Make no mistake: Iām still keeping the old Toynami comboās. . . for nostalgia purposes and because the Toynami Beta is still the best of those initial renditions of the Tread/Beta. But it is exciting times indeed!

Check out the Google translation in @tekeringās post above. Mentions an Eta Legioss (the blue one) 2nd release/āresale.ā

For the Tread, I still want to get a closer look at the fighter-bomber connection and make sure the two mesh well together when combined. But Iām also curious to see what the weapons layout will look like on the big burly bastard, including the built-in missile bays that others have done in their renditions.

Iām still hoping for three solid connecting points. But I think @jenius stated that Sentinel was NOT going to use those slots to connect the Tread.

When?! Gotta plan when to purchase the spray paints. Also, looking less gappy in bomber mode, compared to the Toynami Beta. Could we finally have a worthy successor to take the crown? Additionally, hard points on both the top and bottom of the wings? š¤Ø

Could have swore they had the prototype long before they partnered up with Aoshima.
