  1. C'mon now. You know that second shot was to make it crystal clear what Jack's intentions were. No flesh wound, no accidental discharge, no momentary lapse in judgement, no chance of survival. Just straight up, cold-blooded Jack. He had the data, the individual was unarmed, and it's unlikely that that person had a hand in Renee's hit. Look like Jack's opening up the industrial-strength can of whoop-ass.
  2. It's been discussed, and the powers that be know about the issue: http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=32912. At the very least, it's good that we didn't lose any pictures with the latest server reimaging.
  3. Never recalled his character even being shown before. But I'm not too familiar with some of the earlier seasons. Yeah, that razor-blade necklace looked familiar, but I wasn't completely sure. Guess Bud worked in weapons storage and high-tech security/surveillance before winding up as a strip-joint bouncer?
  4. If we're talking about fighter mode, gerwalk mode, or, especially, half-gerwalk mode, no question I can do a better pose. It's just that this little bugger's battroid mode is pretty limited. I guess I could do the: * "Yo Joe!"/"Go-Bot in the blister card" one arm raised pose, or * The "Point the gunpod with one arm while standing completely at attention like a good, non-moving target should" pose, or * The "Oh NOOES!! I just tore my ACL, MCL, and didn't realize my knee could bend that way" pose. With the limited articulation available, I just settled for a "Just standing there, looking like a bad-ass" pose and called it a day.
  5. "Look pal, this is the best pose you're gonna get outta my battroid mode." And it's probably the best pic quality I'm gonna get outta my cell phone camera.
  6. Yeah, when I first saw the episode, I thought all the bleeping and black censor bars were just a meta-joke. Sucks that Comedy Central chickened out like that. I mean it's not like Matt and Trey were making Muhammad sniff line after line of coke or look at internet porn or anything.
  7. Love this show!! I still remember hearing that joke they said about FEMA way back in Season 1. I knew right then and there that this show's humor, satire, and wit would be right up my alley.
  8. I see that Charles Logan has taken a few pages out of Emperor Palpatine's How to Make Friends and Influence Politicians.
  9. The last time they cliffhangered "Who is Eric Cartman's father?" we got some Terrence and Phillip April Fool's joke episode. Not something I would personally look forward to. Though, I wouldn't put it past Matt and Trey to do something like that again.
  10. Looks like they forgot to throw in the following celebrities too: * R. Kelly * M. Night Shalawaladingdong * The 198X Denver Broncos * Kathy Lee Gifford and most worrisome of all, Terrence and Phillip . Fudge-packer was pretty funny. Though hearing "Bah-boo-rah, BAH-BOO-RAH!" again after all these years was also rather amusing.
  11. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link. I know most folks crap on this game because it didn't have the traditional overhead format. But I personally love it a whole lot more than A Link to the Past. Wait a minute, the bad guys use shields and take more than one or two hits to kill off?! I like that it was different and a little more difficult. And that made it much more rewarding when I completed the game. Force Unleashed (Wii Version). The graphics are embarrassingly subpar. The story and gameplay are average at best. But at a $20 price-point, it's a fun little stress reliever. I mean for that price who wouldn't want to run around, flailing a lightsaber, and Force-pushing the snot out of every Stormtrooper they see?
  12. No love for the Facebook/YahtzeeTron ep. last week?
  13. My thoughts: * Three out of four women agree: copulating amounts of Jack Bauer can be fatal to your health. (And the proverbial "one that got away" still wound up getting tortured and brainwashed by the Chinese.) * "Mrs. Hassan? We'd like you to pull a Corazon Aquino now." * Looks like we finally get Jack vs. the Russian government. * Damn. Two straight weeks with the silent clock at the end. Has this ever happened before in the series?
  14. I don't think there'd be enough room to make a connecting boom long enough to be permanently attached. I guess they could make the boom telescope (kinda like a toy lightsaber), but I shudder to think whether that boom would be strong enough to hold up an Alpha. Also, a telescoping boom like that wouldn't look as clean as what we currently have.
  15. Masaki Kobayashi's Harakiri (aka Seppuku). There's not exactly wall-to-wall samurai action in it, but the story more than makes up for that. Big time.
  16. Since we've started a new thread. . . Anyone feel like holding the candle, and using this as their avatar (until the day they finally release this bad girl)?
  17. ^^I think this best sums up my reaction:
  18. Well that confirms it: Chloe's gonna get shot by Turncoat Starbuck before the end of the season. Rene and Jack are gonna hook up. And Jack's gotta upped his Kill Count for the season!
  19. ^^YES!! The arc with the Romanian twins was some seriously messed-up sh*t. But it was definitely Black Lagoon at its finest!
  20. You should never rely on the pilots as a reference for a Valk's scale/size.
  21. Lady Brown Feather Shiki No Uta Who's Theme Kujaku F.I.L.O. Aruarian Dance Eclipse If I Had a Day to Live Counting Stars Hiraki Imaginary Folklore After Hanabi Mystline Highs 2 Lows The Final View Kumoni World's End Rhapsody Modal Soul Psychological Counterpoint For obvious reasons.
  22. Damn it. Heard the news earlier today from my wife. Seba-san was arguably the best hip-hop producer/hook maker this side of Dr. Dre. "Light as a feather. . ."
  23. Granted, I'm not posing the Beta kicking down doors or anything. But I wouldn't call the Beta's legs "floppy." Heavy, yes. But certainly not floppy, especially with the ratchet joints it has in place. When they unveiled the Beta, I was more worried of the legs flopping in bomber mode. Thankfully, the designers added a bunch of additional connection points to keep the legs locked and in place. I really haven't experienced any chipping on the legs either. If anything, the large gap between the legs and the overhead array in bomber mode has kept any potential chipping to a minimum.
  24. You'll probably wanna be careful though if you're putting on a fully-loaded 1/48 with GBP-1S armor or an Alpha-Beta combo. The extra heft on those suckers makes me think twice about putting them on a flexi. You also gotta be careful about not tightening the screws too much. If you go too far in tightening them, you risk stripping the screwhole's thread, resulting in floppy prongs.
  25. He actually did use a few shots from us, specifically from eugi and m0n5t3r. If you click the "Customer Action Shots" on the bottom left, you'll see the pics selected. This is me purely speculating here, but I'm guessing Los went with the pics that had the more professional looking white or uniform-colored backgrounds. I can sorta see the logic in that. And I understand why he wants to advertise them as "FlightPose" stands now: it makes them more marketable to the action figure vehicle and model aircraft crowds. However, I'm probably gonna keep calling them "flexi's." That's what makes them so much better than most stands out there: they're flexible and adaptable to almost any pose your imagination can come up with. Wanna pose your Valk banking hard left? No problem. Wanna switch it to banking hard right? Move the prongs around and viola! Much like a Valk, it's that ability to adapt to the situation (or the pose) that makes the "flexi" name so appropriate. EDIT: Mixing and matching is essential to getting the best poses.
