Welp, this sucks: https://variety.com/2024/tv/news/the-brothers-sun-cancel-netflix-michelle-yeoh-1235928223/amp/ Was a fun silly show with some enjoyable action sequences. Kinda want a churro now. Not a fancy, overly flavored one or some chocolate-glazed monstrosity. Just a plain, old solid, tasty churro.

I’ve found that adding some baking soda to adhesive/crazy glue kinda helps the glue to bond better/stronger. Just messy as heck and not a clean look. Never tried it on POM though.

Was close to getting annoyed with Omega this week. Do wanna see more from the fallout of the last scene though.

So, the Bandai folks that designed the 171 and made the material choices on the CF? Are they the same people that designed Bandai’s YF-21? 🫥 Too soon? -

We talking toy itself or design/color-scheme? If toy, the VF-17D. Better looking head than the S and comes with FP armor. Though, yeah, lot of anime magic going on for all modes. Design and color-scheme? CF 171. Love the teal, and it stands out from all the other hero Valks out there. But yeah, don’t need Toynami Alpha levels of aggravation from the toy. -
It’s been years since I last watched the original show. But I don’t think it was one of the bad guys? 🤷🏽♂️ Blitzway is probably just finding a way to get more mileage out of the mold. Nothing necessarily wrong with that.

Well, maybe they use “sister,” hunt down Ventress, or go looking for Grogu as alternatives?

Just saw the first three eps. If they can keep this pace and this quality, we’ll be in for a solid season. Kinda suspected that reveal, but at least, they didn’t overdo it.

Yeah, I read up about real-life Buck and a little about Bucky. And the show runners have definitely been prepping us the past few eps for these gut-shots

Just finished Ep 5 of Masters of the Air. Frak was that brutal.

For those of you that got the Ghost or just want a version of Sabine with a more accurate helmet (and her Rebels Season 3 look), today is the last day to preorder this two-pack: https://hasbropulse.com/products/star-wars-the-vintage-collection-sabine-wren-chopper-c1-10p

Problem is Bandai hasn’t listened for years about these issues. It just boggles the brain that the company that made a Dairugger XV/Vehicle Voltron that can faithfully replicate all its various modes and has ridiculously solid articulation is the exact same company that made this less than stellar YF-21 rendition.

It’s that design choice of deciding to use 1/3 of the bellyplates to house the legs; it’s probably causing the backpack to be too thick and prevents the wings from folding completely flat. If Bandai were insistent on that design choice, I would: 1) Change the proportions so that the bellyplates are 3/4 hipguard, 1/4 leg storage; and 2) Have that whole leg storage assembly flip over. Flipping it around would allow the backpack to be a little thinner, and it could allow them to put the VTOL ventral vents on the flipped side of that backside bellyplates.

Caught up on Masters of the Air. Yeah, you definitely get a good sense of how bonkers and how bad the survival stats were for those bombers. Severance is definitely a trippy concept. Even without the brain stuff here, there's been days where my work self and my home self feel separated from one another. Like I'll forget a certain task or chore I need to do for home life, until I actually come home from work. But yeah, I hope

Honestly never thought of it. But angling them up and out so they could go under the nacelle block is another option to thin out the fighter profile. Again, it just seems Bandai went with some inelegant design choices. One other thing to consider: if you look at the 1/60 Yamato, the nacelle has a little divot on the outside to allow the round forearm to connect in fighter mode and to sit a little more flush. If someone’s using the nacelle to store part of the leg, they may need to factor that divot in.

Those mid-2000’s were a fun period. I started out with a Bandai 1/55 reissue, got sidetracked with the Toynami MPC’s 😬, took a chance with the Yamato 1/48’s, and loved all the latter-day color-schemes they surprised us with later on. You could see what a massive revolution in design it was compared to the 1/55’s and the V1 1/60’s. Then the various 1/60 Zero and Plus designs came out shortly thereafter. Yeah, they each had their flaws. But looking back, the sheer volume of stuff that came out was amazing.

Trying to find logic in Bandai’s YF-21 design is an exercise in futility. It seems as if they just thought “thicker legs” and then stopped at doing anything else. Again the 1/60 Yamato had some innovative design ideas to look good in all three modes. For a hypothetical ultimate version of the -21, to get a skinny fighter mode profile AND thick legs, you’d have to come up with a way to collapse the leg width in fighter mode (and expand/thicken for Gerwalk/Battroid) and possibly hollow out the nacelles for some extra storage space.

Toy Story 2 and 3 would like a word with you. 😉 Personally, I enjoyed Wreck-It-Ralph more than the sequel. But the Princess bits and the Slaughter Race solo were pretty amusing.

I love the color of the CF version. But stories like these make me hesitant to seek one out.

Is this where Maui pushes for himself to be the Tribal Chief despite Cody, I mean, Moana doing most of the hard work to return the heart and lead her people to a new island? 😜 (Sorry, a bunch of pro wrestling references there.)

You mean the -22 doesn’t use fold technology to store its gunpods internally when not in use?!!11!!!? 🤪

Hasbro’s The Vintage Collection (TVC) line. For all intents and purposes, it’s the 3.75 inch scale line with better articulation for the figures. Basically, they’re releasing the E-Wing version that showed up in the Ahsoka series.
