I have the old rubber-tipped ones, and I absolutely love them. You definitely don't want to overtighten the screws on the base, or you risk stripping the screw thread (and getting a floppy prong that can't hold anything). Sucks that the issues with with the clear tips were never resolved. I'd probably buy a few more if they went back to the rubber tips. I've been staying away from the new ones after seeing all the issues posted on the forum. And folks, you do realize that all the prongs don't have to be the same length, right? Mix and match those prong lengths to make some ridonkulous poses!!

That was pretty cool, but it would have been even more awesome if they used the original door opening sound.
-
Then I'll give Amiami the credit for busting out the dynamic poses and angles to better sell the 17D.

The Wolverine FILMS (X-Men Universe)
Mog replied to antibiotictab's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Well, if they went with two claws, they'd have to introduce X-23 somehow in this film. And it's way, way, WAY too early to start that. -
If I do wind up buying this, I'm probably gonna do some minor custom touches. Probably paint the head to look more like a cap or cut down the number of stripes. Gotta admit: I'm glad that they're going with more stylized poses and camera angles now.

SH*T JUST GOT REAL!!!! Lastly, I wonder why the last few teaser previews are lacking any sort of narration?

I understand the appeal of the muted colors and more alien look of the DYRL SDF-1. But it's not the Macross I grew up with. Understand, I've slowed down significantly with my collecting. I'm not buying as much stuff as I used to. (Though, I'm seriously considering getting the VF-17D.) But assuming the price is reasonable, I will absolutely, positively without question move hell and high water to get a TV-style, Prometheus and Daedelus sporting, SDF-1 Macross! Garish colors and all! No other Macross item on my want list is higher.

I'd kill for one episode. . . .

So, the series is called Macross. It's about this big, hunking alien ship that lands in the Pacific. The humans study it and repair it. Make a crapload of technology based on and in response to it. It has this infamous maneuver called the Daedalus Attack that was used umpteen billion times in the series. . . . . . .And yet we haven't had an official toy update of the iconic mothership in over 25 years.

Yeah, I enjoy the How It Should Have Ended series too!

Wow! Absolutely stunning work!

TV. Style. SDF-1. Is it too much to ask for an updated version of the grand-daddy namesake that started this whole damn franchise off?

Where exactly is it loose? Is it loose at the hip joint or the knee joint? If it's the hip, I just gave my Beta a quick look and noticed that there's a screw at the hip joint. Maybe tightening that screw will help reduce the loose-ness. Just widen the legs (as if you're transforming it back to battloid mode), and you should see the screw I'm referring to.

Yeah, I don't know what to think anymore. I just hope that they can wrap up, tie in, and/or resolve: Really hoping everything gets resolved by the time we get to Episode 24 (only 8 more episodes left).

I've kinda learned my lesson about watching raw episodes without the translations/subs: unless you're watching Michel Blanc go out in a blaze of glory, it's really easy to misinterpret or misunderstand a bunch of scenes. Happened to me with a couple of Black Lagoon episodes, and I'm pretty sure it happened with one of the earlier episodes of E7:Ao too.

^^We can shave a few years off the sentence for them finally making a solid Beta. Or maybe making the Beta prevented them from getting the death penalty.

It's an absolute crime that Toynami didn't make those Jupiter/Mars Base emblems and number stickers bigger for the wings. Bigger emblems and numbers really make the Beta's wings stand out so much more.

As we wait for the next episode to be released, here's something to tide us over. Someone decided to mix the OPs for the two series up. Kinda trippy how the visuals kinda still mesh even with the different songs.

The extra episode was considered Episode 51 of the original series and was originally aired on April 5, 2012. Here's the summary info I pulled from Wikipedia. HOWEVER, no source reference was provided for the information below. Take everything below with a grain of salt: Episode 51, "New Order" "A special episode that shows never before seen footage of the events that happen from episode 48 and shows the ending of the series. The concept for this special was a possible real ending the staff of Eureka seveN thought up, and the script for this special was first performed in 2006 at a Sony Music Festival by the original Japanese voice actors. In March of 2012, Studio BONES decided to put existing footage of the TV series to this audio and air it for the first time on television. Episode 51's alternate ending entails that Eureka must go on a journey to scatter seven pieces of her soul across the land in order to calm it. In the end, Eureka and Renton must part ways, but Renton vows that they will meet again someday, no matter what. Episode 51 has absolutely no relation to Eureka seveN's sequel known as, 'Eureka seveN: Astral Ocean' as this was a real ending that was not used for the original TV run of the series, and Astral Ocean continues from the events that happened in Episode 50: Wish Upon a Star."

Yeah, it's pretty much a hodge-podge of clips strung together with some new dialogue added in. The question is whether the new dialogue takes place sometime during the original events of E7, or if it's taking place some time well after the series has ended. I've watched it twice (had to watch it again after the events from Episode 13). And still not sure how key the dialogue will be to the story in E7:AO.

I gave her the nickname of "Five-Head." For me, the first series really didn't hook me in until Episode 9 (when they first visit the Ciudades del Cielo). And then of course, Episode 20 finally made the series a must-see, can't-miss one.

Yup, Keith makes some good points.

C'mon now!! Batman using his singing prowess to utterly disarm his enemies???!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OnY5Rp2uNYw As good an actor as Christian Bale is, I doubt he has the pipes to pull off this particular Bat-feat.
