    I don't have an issue with anything that you said in your post, except for the quoted bit above. There may be some CW figures out there on the pegs, but where's the CW figures of: 99 (the deformed clone on Kamino); Fives (in ARC trooper armor); Dogma: Sergeant Appo; Tarkin; Asajj Ventress (in her Nightsister get-up and also in her bounty hunter get-up); And where the hell is PONG freakin' KRELL?!! And this list is not even counting any of the potential figures that could be made from this current season. Unfortunately, Hasbro's been royally dropping the ball with its Clone Wars figures (and with its Star Wars figures in general).

    Yeah, they probably are drawing it out a bit, but it is good to see just how difficult it is for the Clones to capture a Jedi alive. Plus, we got to see more of bounty hunter/grey Force user Asajj. Neither of which is a bad thing. It definitely feels like they've been speeding up the lightsaber fights these past few arcs. Maybe it's because the fights involve darksiders, but the fights have felt definitely more brutal and fast-paced. And lastly, the focus on the new trilogy and the move to Disney might actually be better creatively for the CW CG crew. With the higher ups distracted by the "bigger" projects, it might allow them to take bigger risks and push the envelope storywise. Kinda like what happened to DS9 when the higher ups were focusing more on the Trek movies and Star Trek: Voyager.

    Yeah, I was guessing it was too after last week's episode. This episode practically spelled it out that it was him/her. Regarding that person's motivation, I'm sure participating in this war has produced some unease in some of the Jedi. Add in that this person has probably seen some of his/her Jedi friends die in the process of this war, and you can speculate why a Jedi would take those actions to push the Jedi out of the war. Between Pong Krell, this mysterious Jedi terrorist, and Ahsoka's actions in this arc, you can see why some of the Clones wouldn't hestitate to pull off Order 66 so quickly and without mercy.

    Okay, my mistake. I read "rumor that film version of KOTOR may be in the works" and incorrectly assumed that meant that Episodes VII through IX would be set in the KOTOR era. However, if they are working on a stand-alone KOTOR movie, two issues will come into play: It's kinda hard to tell a story set in the KOTOR era without having Revan or Revan-influenced events mentioned in the background. If they do try to do a film adaptation of KOTOR I, it will be hard to do as a single film (anyone who's played the game will know why).

    If they are going the KOTOR route, the question is: how do they split the story into a trilogy? I figure you'd want to keep the "big reveal" until the second movie or the end of the first one at the earliest. But then what? I could see them stretching the story of KOTOR I into two movies (use the first one to build up the "protagonist" and get the movie audience to sympathize that character. Then resolve the story in the second film). But then what do you do for the third film? I don't think there's enough compelling story there to make three films out of KOTOR I, so where does the story go for the third one. Follow the protagonist's story and use the third film to go into the TOR era? Base the third film on KOTOR II? OR do they try to tell two storylines at the same time: one following the protagonist through the present and another minor storyline/flashback providing background of how Revan and Malak (the main baddies in KOTOR I) rose to power and fell to the darkside. If they go this route, it'd be creatively challenging to edit the films to make sense. BUT you'd probably have enough content to make a compelling trilogy.

    So, I'm using IE9 (I know ) to view the board, and I noticed that I'm having issues with embedded Youtube videos. The video works fine. But there's no volume controls, and I can't hear any sound. Checked out the same embedded Youtube videos using FireFox, and no issues with the volume. So, is there anything that can be done, or should I just suck it up and view the boards with Firefox from now on?

    ^^Agreed. When you add in the first episode of the season, you wind up with a 5-part arc that did a lot of good: It added more depth to Darth Maul, changing him from a silent, lightsaber wielding killing machine in Phantom Menace into a plotting, scheming, snarky bastard worthy of the Sith lineage. It got Maul out of those oversized legs, put some robes onto him, and made him into a more serious threat. We got some great fights (Obi vs. Savage-Maul, Vizla vs. Maul, Sidious vs. Maul-Savage) that were a pleasure to watch. Pirates, Mandalorians, crime lords, and bounty hunters all in one arc, and being done in such a way that makes sense. We got rid of the whole pacifist Mandalorians bit (Seriously, the words "pacifist" and "Mandalorian" should never have ever been associated with one another). We got the added bonus of watching Maul be a complete dick, , and give Obi some added pathos and suffering. And we got to see Sidious seriously cut loose. Not too shabby for an arc (even with the utter lack of Clone-centric stories so far this season). P.S.--I know it's a cheesy weapon, but I love that Maul kept Vizla's obsidian black blade. It's fun watching that thing get wielded around.

    Screw it: just go way back in time and do a trilogy set during the Knights of the Old Republic/The Old Republic era. Bioware's practically written the basic plots for them already. Or they could go the comic book route and go with the Jedi who's considered incompetent, not exactly great at lightsaber fighting, and was assessed with "marginal" Force powers. Would be a bit of a change of pace from the typical Jedi we've seen already. Just a random, "throw it at the wall and see if it can stick" idea.

    As much as I do enjoy the latest Clone Wars series, I absolutely despised that whole Force users arc. Nothing learned by any of the main characters (it was all just a dream ), stupid "superior" Force users who were just as petty and dumb as any typical Jedi or Sith, and characterizations for the Force users that changed from episode to episode just to fit the whims of the plot. Let's just dump the whole Force users idea into that same bad idea hole we tossed the midichlorians into. But I do enjoy the theory that the Chosen One Who Brings Balance to the Force was a misinterpreted prophecy. The Jedi think: "Yay! He's gonna wipe out the Sith!" But the reality is that, after ROTS, he wipes out most of the Jedi, leaving two Sith and two Jedi.* Thus, bringing balance to the Force. * Yes, I'm aware that a handful of Jedi probably survived the Purge. But I'm sure we can also agree that there are probably a few darksiders hanging around the fringes. Heck, one or a few of those surviving Jedi probably even turned dark.

    If there's one thing Lucas got right, it was nipping all the potential Padme/Obi-Wan romance ideas and scenes out of the prequels. It would have weakened Anakin's primary motivation for turning to the dark side: preventing Padme's (and their child's) death. I agree though that the whole "lost her will to live" thing was kinda dumb. There'd be a better connection to ROTJ if they faked Padme's death (died during childbirth) but hid her as a maid or nanny in the Organa household. Leia would see her (real) mommy, see her as always sad, and Luke would have no recollection of his real mother. I think the most significant missteps in ROTS (which is easily the best of the prequels) were that and the whole Frankenstein's monster homage when Vader breaks out of his restraints (i.e., the NOOOOOOOOO!!!!1111!!!! scene). Of couse, I could write ridiculously long posts about what I'd tweak about those first two prequels.

    And John Williams better be up in that bitch too! It ain't Star Wars without him and those leitmotifs. True. But I'm sure there's a ton of Hollywood writers, who after watching the movie their script is based on, say "That's not the movie I wrote." The director probably has a lot more influence than the writer on what parts of the script get filmed, how a scenes gets played out, what gets edited out, etc. So even though he may not have written the script, I'm still worried about JJ's involvement with the sequels.

    This is far and away the best arc of this season. Glad to see that Maul learned a thing or two about plotting while he was hanging with Palps. I really hope that the next episode isn't the last one for this arc.

    I still believe that Phantom Menace and AOTC could have been salvaged with some major tweaks and slight changes of focus. The general storyline/throughline for the three movies is okay, but a different scene here, a slightly re-worked scene there, a few more tweaks here and there, and the first two prequels could have been so much better. In any case, when the new sequels finally hit, I'll be hiding out in my bunker clutching my non-anamorphic Original Trilogy DVDs and Genndy Tartakovsky Volume 2 Clone Wars DVD, muttering "I was right. I was right about the sequels. Tell your sister. . . .erm, the MW Community... I was right."

    I guess I'm going against the grain here and saying that I'm not exactly pleased if this news turns out to be true. I've always said that JJ can direct a fast-paced plot. But the problem has always been that those plots don't stand up too well after you take the time to really analyze them. He can be a good plotter. . . . .but a bad storyteller. He tends to let the plot drive the characters rather than let the characters direct where the plot should go. One thing that kinda bugs me is when he says about the Star Wars films that "so much of the spectacle has been done and it seems like every aspect has been covered." I almost instantly have to call bullsh*t on that. There's a ton of ground in the Star Wars universe not covered by the six films. I see a quote like that and it makes me think, "Why are you thinking like that? Why do you have the 'putting the cart before the horse' mentality? Come up with a good story, and it will make those visual effects, designs, and locations more compelling and memorable." Yes the X-Wing is a cool design. But it's freakin' memorable because it's the small-ass fighter that took down the big bad Death Star. All one has to do is look at the prequels to see an example of great special effects trying to prop up a story that's subpar and lacking. If this news does turn out to be true, I guess I can always hope that whoever the executive producer is will balance JJ out and reign in some of those tendencies I mentioned above. Actually, I'd consider myself a hardcore fan of both franchises. They both have their flaws, but there are aspects of both that I really love. Both are classics, and Empire Strikes Back and DS9 are easily my absolute favorite film and TV show, respectively, of all time.

    "So, the only thing that you can tell me is that I will find Jabba. . . . at Jabba's Palace?" Don't know why I laughed at that line and delivery so much. Maybe it's because I never thought the horned red dude would be such a source of humor. Pretty good episode last week. Lots of action and smart plotting going on.

    Here's the thing: I personally didn't have any issue with them sticking the rookie Adama in a Raptor. You wouldn't let a teenager drive a Corvette until he's proven himself to be a capable and competent driver. So, seeing as he's a wet-behind-the-ear nugget straight out of the academy, I got no issues with the higher ups knocking Adama down a peg or two and telling him to prove himself behind a Raptor. One of the big complaints you seem to have with B&C is that they don't show enough of Adama being a Viper pilot. Now other than the similuation where he pulls out his sidearm, we didn't see much crazy Viper shenanigans. But my goodness, did you see all the crazy stuff Adama was able to pull off with a Raptor?! He was being a crafty bastard, dogfighting with a Raptor. Read that again: Dogfighting. With. A. Frakking. Raptor. I don't think we've ever seen that. Out of missiles, and the guy still found a way to destroy Cylon Raiders. If the producers wanted a way to show off Adama's piloting skills without looking like a blatant rip-off of one of the many Viper battles you referenced above, perhaps showing off those dogfighting skills while piloting a Raptor was a unique and different way for them to accomplish that goal. Just my 2 cents.

    Add one part standard Valkyrie structure/transformation set-up (for some Human flavor). Add one part Q-Rau template (for some Zent' styling). Add in the BDS/BDI systems for new technology. Throw in the only fighter to sport dual-wielding gunpods. Add in a high-speed mode and a delimiter mode. Mix together with an Itano circus of missiles and you get the . . . . YF-21!

    takatoys and Anasazi stickers were the best! When I got my 1/48 TV Max a few years back, I was bummed that I didn't have a sticker set from either of these guys to apply to the bird.

    The Ahsoka arc was alright, since it was guerilla tactics. But there's a love triangle bit, and it's a bit predictable in terms of story (the benign leader of a Separtist planet is ousted for a massive a-hole, the Jedi and Rex train a resistance movement on the planet to better wipe out battle droids, death ensues). Nowhere near as good as the Krell arc or the Maul eps, but passable/watchable. The Youngling one was okay. Plus you have Hondo the pirate busting out his awesome quotes and quips. But again, somewhere between the third or fourth episode of this arc, I was rolling my eyes and hoping they would wrap it up already. I'd pass on the latest astromechs one. It has its moments (like the souped-up weapons they gave the mechs), but I've been itching for some Clone episodes or more eps of Anakin moving towards the dark path. So, maybe watch the Ahsoka arc and the first two episodes of the Youngling one.

    If you're itching for CLONE-centric episodes, you really haven't missed much this season (if anything at all). The 4-parter with Ahsoka's Separatist crush was alright. And the arc with the Younglings getting their lightsaber crystals was okay at first, but it should have never been a 4-parter (a two or three episode arc would have been better). And this droid one? Should have only been two episodes max. They do show a Republic commando in this last ep. But we really haven't had a good Clone-centric episode since the Pong Krell arc. And speaking of Krell, why the hell hasn't Hasbro made a figure of him yet?!!
