  1. I enjoyed Lance's snide comment about "Shake & Bake" this week. Going back to this past season of Agent Carter, the story was alright, but it just seemed to be missing some "oomph" and tended to drag in spots. Doesn't help when that pace is compared to the one Agents of SHIELD has been on this past season and a half. SHIELD burns through its stories at a fast pace and really doesn't try to drag out its big reveals for too long (which I really appreciate). Been really spoiled because of that.
  2. I'm assuming Claire was referring to Just finished the first three eps. Definitely, enjoying it so far. They wasted no time getting the story rolling again. And Foggy's AWESOME

    Dream Paint Schemes

Many years ago, before I had kids, I somehow pulled off this custom: Sorry, GabrielV: it's the correct color scheme, but just on the wrong bird. I forgot who did it, but someone on this board took the 25th Anniversary YF-19 and painted the gold script text over in black. The end results weren't too shabby.
  4. Considering all the bullets he's lobbing at the bad guys, it makes sense for him to wear something to protect him from any potential return fire. Wonder if Potter made the body armor for Castle too.
  5. Please tell me that's not the final paint apps on Revan, because that chest and gauntlet color is all sorts of wrong.
  6. I would have been more impressed, sh9000, if all those cannon-fodder soldiers spelled out a certain name.
  7. At least, there were extra bits or lines of dialogue that they held back from the trailers I understand where you're coming from, but thank goodness they didn't completely blow their wads in the trailers. Besides, the scenes and bits that weren't in the trailers seemed to get the biggest laughs from the theater I watched it in.
  8. "McAvoy or Stewart?" Had a slight delay in getting that one in the theater. It was a fun, foul-mouthed romp with tons of fourth wall breaking. From the intro all the way to the silly end credits, for better or worse, there was pretty much everything you'd expect from a Deadpool movie. And screw I want more adventures of Wade and Lastly,
  9. Already hit Number 3:1. Lemmy (from Motörhead) 2. Bowie 3. Hans FREAKIN' Gruber I guess, technically, Lemmy was 70, but it's close enough. And yeah, frak cancer.
  10. Yeahhhhhh. . . . . . . Excellent choice. But there's another nafarious villain from Office Space, more twisted and machine than even Vader:

    Bandai Sv-262 DX valk

Honestly, I'm more excited and intrigued to see how the SV-262 turns out. It's just a strikingly different design from what we've usually seen. While, the VF-31 just feels like an also-ran design of the Frontier valks.
  12. Submitted for your consideration, two of the best villains in all of the MCU: 1. Kilgrave from Jessica Jones. Just watch the first scene in the attached clip to see what an evil, amoral bastard he is. There's other scenes in this clip, but WARNING, they contain SPOILERS for the series: .2. Wilson Fisk from Daredevil. Some background info: You're a Russian mobster. You and your brother made a mistake, and you want to do the right thing and apologize to Mr. Fisk. In person. Except you embarrassed him in front of a lady he was trying to impress. Meet Brute Force and Unencumbered Rage:
  13. ^^I'm calling bullsh*t on your stance, Duke. If you want to argue about the parts of the fight after they go into the lava, then you might have an argument. But the first half of the climactic fight, both of them are going all out. The other thing to keep in mind is that Anakin's saber fighting style has always been to go all out, be all offense. While, Obi-Wan's style puts a premium on defense, only attacking when an opening is most advantageous. At least, the two remembered to use their Force powers during the big fight.
  14. Too bad we can't expand this to include a Netflix or web-based wing. Because I know two baddies who would easily be added to these lists.
  15. Just got back from watching the film. Understand, I'm a guy that holds a strong candle for the former EU and I was ready to tear this film a new one, if it fell short. My initial reaction: it's okay. Definitely got "A New Hope: The Next Generation" feel from it. It's adequate. It didn't wow me like Empire, but it wasn't a steaming pile of poo either. If I had to rank them, I'd say it's somewhere around No. 4 or No. 5 out of the seven so far. I still like Revenge of the Sith more (despite making Grevious a moustache-twirling villain, the "NO!!" scene, and the whole twins birth/Padme's death bit), and I usually rank Sith as No. 3 or 4 on my preference list. Again, it was a solid movie, but it's not the second coming or anything like that. Considering they have the unenviable task of tying back to the original trilogy after 30 years and they have guys like me that will be comparing this story to the EU ones Disney wiped away from canon, The Force Awakens was alright. Nothing spectacular, but nothing horrible either.
  16. I finished watching the rest of Jessica Jones last weekend and am finally getting a chance to write down my thoughts. My impressions: it's not an out-of-the-park homerun, but it's one hell of a solid triple. But despite these misgivings, I still did enjoy watching the series. It's not as ridiculously good as Daredevil was (but I think that has to do with all the memorable characters and long comics backstory and history Daredevil has), but it's still a good entry into the MCU/television universe. I'm curious to see where they take the Luke Cage story now.
  17. Somewhat related, but I'm seriously considering using this method, when I eventually show the Star Wars movies to my kids: http://www.nomachetejuggling.com/2011/11/11/the-star-wars-saga-suggested-viewing-order/ Once they're old enough, I'm curious to see what their reactions, impressions, and interpretations will be.
  18. I guess the Director of SHIELD couldn't find a SWORD, so he used his "Hand" to take AIM and crush (like a HAMMER) the heart of HYDRA.
  19. Why is it none of these live action films try to copy Clancy Brown's version of Lex from the numerous animated series? So, tired of over-the-top villain Lex. Speaking of which, wonder how long it will take until Warner Bros. and DC finally cave and ask Bruce Timm and Paul Dini to develop the live action universe.
  20. Ward was just pissed that Fitz wouldn't give him one of those SHIELD-authorized cell phone batteries with super-ultra-extended-battery-charge-life. Downloads using Hydra Mobile eat up a ton of battery life!
  21. Yeah, Lastly, at Dangard Ace, I was actually referring to a scene where Daisy was walking Hunter through some computer-coding stuff. Amusing stuff, but still not as funny as when they busted out the subtitles during his drunken ramblings.
  22. I just found it hilarious that For me, I wanna see a flashback to the moment Rex left the 501st or what he was doing during Order 66.
