  1. You bring up that even-numbered turd, Nemesis? I'll raise you "What does 'God' need with a starship?" Despite my mocking, I still personally like my Trek with a heavy dose of DS9, the Defiant, and its large set of well-developed cast and recurring characters.
  2. That's who it sounded like to me too. Plus the whole seems consistent with her character.
  3. Just posting some old pics and a new one of a ridiculously poseable, super-articulated blue chick. Enjoy!
  4. Check back with Husker in about 9 months or so; he might regret it then.
  5. I'll admit: I didn't know where that Tenacious D song was going until they started singing around the 1 minute mark. Pretty kick-ass, acoustic rendition of the song! And now, the. . . .umm. . . . "language" of love. . . . And I finally found a linkable version of the official video. Enjoy all the 90's video cliches!
  6. "Striker Eureka" Should that be pronounced "YOU-ree-kah" or "Ay-YOU-rek-ah"? If its blades can act as boomerangs (It's supposed to be an Aussie mech, right?) and it's angel wings turn into a surfboard, I'm guessing we should use the second pronunciation for this two-seater mecha.
  7. Okay, whoever thought it was a good idea to stick a massive high-beam flashlight on their rifles is a dumbass. Yes! Give away your location to the enemy. At least we now know where the Old Man first learned the "grab blunt cylindrical object, bash Cylon repeatedly in neck and head with said object, continue until Cylon is thoroughly dead" technique. So, what have we learned? Flashlight as gun sighting accessory? Bad idea! Flashlight as Cylon skull-bashing tool? Good idea!
  8. Too bad they don't have in-scale Jammer or Leoben figures, tied up and ready to be sucked out of the launch tube.
  9. Gotta say, I'm liking the WWII-style gunport on the back of the old Raptors. Also, dogfights in the clouds are always so beautiful to watch.
  10. Yep, I called it: Also, was it just me, or was there a massive disconnect between Episode 22 and 23? Wow, with the way this series ended, they really managed to sh*t on all the characters from their own series and shat royally on a few of the characters from the original series: * And way to marginalize Maurice, Maeter, and Linck! Not one damn token reference to them at all? It's not like they were patiently waiting for their parents to return the last time we saw them or that the original series showed them to be an integral part of Eureka and Renton's budding family. So disappointed with how this series eventually panned out. So much wasted potential.
  11. Very purrty work on this one. Like all the little custom touches here and there too. Looking at the back left shot, it looks like the Stealth stole the Thunder Hammer armor for Hikaru's VF-1J, especially with the red-stripe-on-white scheme.
  12. Surprisingly, yes. When I first bought the DVD, that short was actually the first thing I watched. At the time, I knew "of" WALL-E, but I didn't really know much about the movie's plot or overall story. Regarding the figurines, is there one of Fix-It Felix, Jr. that
  13. Even after reading some of the spoilers here, I still got a massive kick out of this film. All the little video game references were brilliant. And the story was touching without being too overly-saccharine. Who'd a thunk we would finally get a really good video-game-based movie film?! Not sure if it was originally attached to the theatrical release but the BURN-E short attached the WALL-E DVD is pretty hard to top. Don't get me wrong Paperman was good and full of heart. But BURN-E just hits a certain comedic sweet spot with me.
  14. I didn't like that the new Trek lacked any underlying theme/allegory about the human condition or about our current world. Back to Star Wars though, anybody but J.J. He can write a fast-paced plot. But I just find his style lacking, especially once you sit back and start poking holes in his plots.
  15. Seeing as Sephiroth is an emo little bitch with MOMMY ISSUES™, I don't think he's exactly an improvement over Vader. But a Palpatine and Kefka team up? That'd be a tough combo to beat (assuming they don't kill each other first).
  16. Holy-Frakin'-ShitStar!!! And this isn't being aired on television because?
  17. So essentially, you're asking for a Yoda movie.
  18. IT PUTS THE HOUQUET IN THE BASKET!!!!
  19. Same here. I only own the black rubber-tipped ones. Kinda sucks that they just don't revert to those original tips. If it wasn't for the issues with the clear ones, I'd recommend these stands to people in a heartbeat. As long as the stand doesn't tip over, you can practically pull off any pose you can imagine.
  20. Well, considering how much we fawn and drool over our Valks. . . . . . The trickiest part with the cutting method would be getting a nice rounded tip to work with.
  21. Knowing me, I'd probably waste half a day rubbing down the erasers, just to get a wider surface area for the valks to make contact with.
  22. "I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of nerds suddenly cried out in shock and were suddenly confused." So, with Disney purchasing the Star Wars franchise, does this mean I can finally walk into a Disney store and actually find Star Wars figures hanging on the shelves for once? Back to potential stories and ideas, I wouldn't mind something (films or TV series) set around the Knights of the Old Republic era. Some interesting characters; no Rule of Two to limit the red-bladed bad guys; a compelling and interesting take on the Mandalorians; a Jedi Knight/trainee who's not exactly the cream of the crop; and a Jedi who's tactics, strategies and ideas straddle the line between the Light and Dark sides. A good writer could have a field day working with those premises.
  23. If only Kathleen Kennedy had been around when the script for AOTC was being kicked about. Maybe if there was a woman around, we could have been spared some of that atrocious "romance" dialogue (aka what George thinks passes for good romantic dialogue). As for the Mouse acquiring Lucasfilm. I'm neither happy nor sad about it. Pretty much meh or ambivalent about it. Maybe now there will be someone or some higher ups that can override George's opinion and straight-up say, "No George. That's a stupid idea." But then again, this is the Evil Mouse we're talking about. The ones who constantly up the prices to Disneyland, despite the rest of the country being in a recession. The ones who damned us with High School Musical. And the ones who sink their grubby hooks into our kids with their Disney channel programming and product placement. So like other have already said, this can either be a good thing or a bad thing.
