  1. Hopefully, that prequel focuses on Holland, Charles, Ray, and the rest of the SOF prior to Eureka's massive turning point (discovering the three kids in that "pile"). It'd be interesting to see their lives prior to Gekkostate's formation.
  2. ^^Chopper appeared in Rogue One (in the scene where a communications guy runs up to Mon Mothma). And you hear them calling for a General Syndulla (Hera) over the Yavin PA system. Plus, a lot of folks want to retcon that the the old rebel guy in ROTJ wearing the Scout Trooper disguise is actually Rex.
  3. ^^And Captain America and Bucky had a similar stairwell fight in Civil War. Gotta go with a new fighting trope. I heard most critics based their review off the first six episodes. But a guy on IGN watched all the eps. Apparently, the rest are just as bad/disappointing.
  4. ^^Considering that Luke and Leia are twins . . . . I can't imagine that Luke is that young. We already saw Leia in Rebels, and she either looked just a bit younger than Ezra or about the same age as him. Either Luke is a teenager too, or Leia got some of her momma's "I look a lot older than I really am" genes. BTW, really enjoyed BSG Crashdown's "KENOBI!!!!!!!" scream. Really nailed how obsessed Maul became over the years.
  5. The Obi v. Maul throw down is on tomorrow.
  6. Don't know why they'd wanna do a sequel. I mean, how can you top this?
  7. Did I just pause that teaser to read Deadpool's full-on synopsis and commentary on Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea? Yes, yes I did. Don't know whether to be proud or ashamed.
  8. They're absolutely nailing Thrawn's character! He's been easily one of the highlights of this season. Kinda wish there was just a little more that came out of Sabine's darksaber arc. But I guess we can kill all those rumors now that after these last few eps. Glad it's confirmed that we're getting a fourth season.
  9. TV Hayao's most memorable scenes were getting shot up or dying. But yeah, that 1/48 Max VF-1A was one of my last Macross purchases. Didn't have a 1A Yammie in my collection at the time (other than the 1/60 V1 DRYL Max), and Max really earned his reputation in the white and blue 1A. The toy company's show a lot of love to Max's 1J ride, but not much to his 1A bird. Glad I purchased it, but wish I had the space to display her properly nowadays.
  10. Anyone wanna take a crack at this memorable Meltran pwning scene: Using this toy pic:
  11. ^^Consider how long the nose section is, there's also no reason for them to not lengthen the landing gear in the nose. Honestly, unless they put rachet joints in the shoulders, knees, and possibly, the hips, I don't see this new Legioss being exceedingly superior to the Toynami or CMs versions. It may have a few improvements over these older two. But it won't be a revolutionary difference (think Bandai SOC Voltron vs. Toynami Voltron). The shoulder design probably doesn't leave that much room, but it'd be interesting to see someone try to incorporate lateral movement in the shoulders (think shoulder fly lifts). Or maybe have someone design the arm boosters from the beginning to actually be a real connection point with the Tread.
  12. Where it has "ACTION CALLOUT" on the box it should just say "MINIMAL ARTICULATION"
  13. They wanna impress me? Pose that Legioss with the legs in a wide, bent knee stance, and have the arm holding the gun posed straight out to the side, parallel to the ground. (Think standard James Bond pointing gun pose.) If it can hold that pose, we'll know it's a solid piece. I doubt they'll have the stones to do it though.
  14. Saw's the connection to the Erso's. To say Saw should have been left on the cutting room floor shows a complete misunderstanding of his importance and relationship to the Erso family. Without Saw, there would have been no need for the Rebels to even bring Jyn along in the first place.
  15. For the idiots (like me) who couldn't find it at first, the preview post feature is no longer a button next to the "Submit Reply" button. Instead it is the right-most icon in the formatting menu bar above your typed text.
  16. If I'm remembering A New Hope correctly, the only problem with using Dantooine is that it had been abandoned for "quite some time" according the Imperials who relayed the info. to either Tarkin or Vader. So, using that setting as the Rebel base for Rogue One would have been another continuity issue to gripe about. Two things we really need to give the film credit for though:
  17. Well Ani/Vader isn't exactly a guy who stops and thinks out a strategy. Always been kinda impulsive, fly by the seat of his pants. Also, loved how
  18. Just got back from the movie. Much, MUCH better than Force Awakens. Lots of little Easter eggs for fans of the original film. Subtle enough for those in the know, but nothing required or essential to enjoy the film. So, does this mean that the Death Star Architect is no longer canon?! Seriously, why the hell is an EXHAUST port sucking IN the torpedo, instead of pushing it OUT? Lastly, can we have a stand-alone film with K-2SO and Chopper finding HK-47 and having hilarity ensue? [cough] Empire is still the best [cough] This one is definitely up there though, but it ain't unseating the king.
  19. I just want the old girl in her garish original colors, not this metallic paint job. Plus, a LARGE SCALE version of the TV SDF-1 is my last holy grail for Macross.
  20. ^^Shoot! I'm still waiting for a GOOD, official Dancing Baby Groot toy! One that actually dances and plays a clip of "I Want You Back."
  21. Cubs win?! Ooh! Lookie! The first Horseman of the Apocalypse! . . . . In all seriousness, I'm very happy for all the Cubs fans out there. Been a long time coming.
  22. Agent Kallus from Star Wars Rebels has those massive mutton chops/side beard thingies too. But yeah, pretty sure the Empire ain't too fond of its officers looking like scruffy-lookin' nerfherders.
