Not bad looking at all, but she definitely needs to be boned with some meat, I MEAN, put a little more meat on her bones. Wonder if they ever seriously considered Adrianne Palicki for the role? She definitely has the build and look for the part, but not so sure about her acting chops.

Would you like The Cavalry to come too? For a "mismatched buddy cops" ep, it worked pretty well. Glad they showed that Fitz got some quick thinking, "able to adapt" smarts. Lastly, Saffron Burrows looks a lot different than how she was back in Deep Blue Sea.

Doubt it. The casting call descriptions don't sound like the characters in that image. Unless they go in a completely different direction than what's already been established about those two.

I binge-watched the episodes a couple of nights back. Not a horrible series by any stretch. Could be better, but it's entertaining enough. The dialogue is definitely "Whedon-esque" with its wit and banter. Regarding this last episode, And am I the only one who wanted to smack Fitz upside the head for missing a golden opportunity to get some "action"?

The sad thing is that it's probably because my Alpha's hips are so cracked and broken that I'm able to pull off that wide of an A stance in the above pic. Despite the Alpha being broken, the paperclips really help to keep the whole thing in that pose. Lemonade out of lemons!

If someone is selling the old version of the flightpose stands, that'd be even better. I personally never had any issues whatsoever with the black rubber tips (though I'm not sure what others' experiences have been like). And I'm not sure if there's a difference between the old version's base and the newer one's base (old one solid and new one more hollow? ). But I am quite fond of the old versions.

For Kickboxer, here's two reasons : Reason #1: Almost everything that happens before the 3:00 mark: Reason #2: Mylee's "emoting" during the final fight scenes.

Alex, you sir, have been OWNING this thread. Absolutely beautiful work! On another topic, awhile back, I came across another issue with the Toynami Alpha. It's probably due to the extreme angles I posed the legs at, but the grey parts that surround the hip ball joints cracked/disintegrated on me. The cheap material didn't take too well (read: at all) to superglue, causing the hips to only hold the most boring and static of leg poses. Plus, the damn thing pissed me off so much, I tossed the whole in frustration, resulting a tab breaking off and one of the legs not being able to stay fully extended. Despite all that, it's amazing what a few paperclips can do to keep this thing standing in a solid A-stance:

Yup, a 1/48 Yammie can easily be held up by a flexi-display/flightpose stand (as demonstrated below). Updating an old set up with a few customs: Moved into a new place, wifey told me to cut down my display areas, so have to limit the birds I get to display. . . .for now.

Does Spike Spiegel in Cowboy Bebop: Knockin' on Heaven's Door count as one? Bounty hunter. Guy that doesn't give a damn. Dogfights the military for getting in his way. Looking to fight the main baddie just to "pay back the favor I owe ya'." He's gotta qualify as an antihero, right?

Bit of a stretch, but sorta appropriate for the federal holiday observed here in the US today:

Ahh, GOOD U2. Lotta great, live tracks out there of them. Some of my personal favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S0EcfSA4Nk0 Kinda bummed that I can't find the following live versions: * Running to Stand Still/Dirty Old Town (the ones on Youtube are just not as good as the one I downloaded from Kazaa years ago). *All I Want Is You (a version performed on a British (or Irish?) show around the late 80's).

While I understand that the $10 price can be seen as a bit steep, I do have three observations about the 3 3/4 so-called collectors' line: 1) Considering how much we drop for our Macross mechs and valks (or for premium lines like the Transformers MP line), $10 is not much in the grand scheme of things. 2) It wasn't that long ago that we were getting Star Wars figures with less articulation, sporting such things as bicep-cut/swivel elbows, fixed-pose arms, or no knee or ankle joints. Granted there's a few exceptions, but most of the recently released figures are sporting what was used to be considered "super-articulation." They're even throwing in better articulation points on a few figures, such as ball-hinged hips or "rocker" ankle joints. 3) Considering the ridiculous prices some of these figures are going for on ebay (think Darth Revan, Bastila, or any Vintage collection figure released after the Phantom Menace wave), I'm willing to pay $10 to find these figures at a regular retail store and get a chance to look over them personally to pick out the ones with the best paint apps. Personally, I'd rather have Hasbro address its piss-poor distribution issues and unbelieveably dumb case assortment choices first before they consider the issue of price, especially for something that's consider a "collector's line."

Guess I'm in a holding pattern until they release Mara Jade (assuming the pegs ain't clogged with extra Biggs, Vaders, Anakins, and Biker Scouts by then ).

. . . . which knowing Hasbro will never be released on time (if ever), will lack adequate articulation, and will be released YEARS after a season has been aired (i.e., a cool character from Season 1 will finally be made into figure form around the time Season 5 rolls around). I really wished they could have squeezed a few more eps out of Clone Wars (an abridged Season 6?) just to wrap up a few of the storylines.

^^Puny Stormtroopers! Of the new figures coming out, I'll only want to pick up the new Padme and Mara Jade figures. The sucky thing though is that I have a feeling that the face paint apps are gonna vary pretty wildly from figure to figure. Meaning I'm gonna have to hope and pray that these things show up in enough numbers at the brick-and-mortar stores.
