  1. Other than seeing how it looks in fighter mode, I really hope they put some RATCHET joints in those shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. That's gonna be a make-or-break factor right there. Plus, I secretly hope they're designing this with the idea of connecting it to a little old big and burly bomber.
  2. Monkeyface Leia's got some competition now! So glad I never got into Hasbro's 6-inch line. Wake me when the well-articulated 3.75" figure line comes back.
  3. ODB for the Cage trailer, and "Come As You Are" for the Defenders trailer? Nice musical choices! Hopefully, MULTIPLE bottles!
  4. Dang, Kanan's going full-Kenobi with that beard! Curious about the return of Pre Vizsla's darksaber too. Glad to see the blue-skinned tactician push his way back into canon. So, does this mean there's a chance we'll see Emperor Palpy pick up some Force-sensitive, red-haired girl down the line?
  5. I've probably gone soft in my old age (especially after having kids), but I did enjoy Finding Dory. It kicked me in the feels a couple of times. But it was a fun, enjoyable, and silly romp. For me personally, I consider Finding Nemo one of the better Pixar entries out there, and Dory was a worthy sequel. SEPTOPUS!! Considering the voice actor involved, I wonder if one of the animators tried to slip in an image of Hank doing the Al Bundy "chilling with hand in crotch" move? Also, Piper was a cute little short.
  6. If anyone's looking for a series to binge on, might I suggest Mr. Robot, Season 1? Why? Because Season 2 starts up "officially" this Wednesday, 7/13. Though apparently, the series creators already "leaked" the first hour of Season 2.
  7. Call me silly, but you'd think a movie called "Independence Day" would premiere. . . oh, I don't know . . . ON THE WEEKEND OF JULY 4TH (here in the United States)!! Just sayin'. Caught me by surprise, when my bro-in-law mentioned it came out last weekend instead. Stupid marketers.
  8. Thanks for the links to the additional pics. Wonder if Turbo will still come with those guns he was sporting in the prototype pics. Still not feeling the back fuselage part of Blackbird's jet mode. Just too blocky looking for my tastes. Though, it's probably still one of the better looking/robot concealing SR-71 toys out there now.
  9. I know Apocalypse is already a long film, but I wouldn't mind an extended DVD/Blu-Ray edition (ala the Lord of the Rings films). Seems like there was a lot of extra story bits that got edited out of the final film version for pacing and run-time purposes.
  10. Just saw it. I can understand why critics are lambasting the movie. But if you're a fan of the comics, know a little bit about each of the featured X-Men, and know about Apocalypse, you'll probably appreciate it more than most. It's an Apocalypse story, so you kinda know the major story beats already: Apocy wakes up, gathers his Four Horseman, let's loose all hell, and then the X-Men and/or X-Factor try to stop him. I will say the final version of Apocalypse we see (and hear) on the big screen is much more improved than the one we initially saw in the trailer. Overall, I enjoyed the film Things I didn't like though: As for your question A7: Lastly, thank you for the meta-joke:
  11. So maybe not exactly a remake, but c'mon, Russian Avengers or Russian X-Men: http://www.theverge.com/2016/4/15/11439314/zaschitniki-guardians-russian-marvel-superhero-movie MACHINE GUN-WIELDING RUSSIAN BEAR!!!1111!!!!!!
  12. ^^And I thought Spidey had the monopoly on bat-shite, crazy comic book ideas! Dumb move by Marvel comics.
  13. Lastly, Coulson you magnificent nerd!!!!
  14. ^^Didn't help that this last season ended kinda meh. Still, I'm surprised they didn't pick up Marvel's Most Wanted for next season. Need something to fill that mid-season gap. One SHIELD-Civil War observation:
  15. Team Stark has some very solid and practical arguments to support their side (Heck, Team Stark's position in the MCU is infinitely stronger than their position in the original comic book mini-series). BUT HOWEVER,
  16. Yes! Regarding related spoilers, don't watch this week's Agents of SHIELD episode, if you haven't watched Civil War. There's a reference to the above spoiler and what happened to Cap at the end of the movie.
  17. Just got back from watching it. It's good. * The Russo brothers absolutely nailed ALL the character beats. * The story does a great job of tying back to loose threads from the other numerous Marvel films. * They did a ridiculously great job introducing Black Panther and Spider-Man. So much so, that I'm really looking forward to the Black Panther solo movie (and of course, the next Spidey one). * Some may say that there's too much humor in the film, but it worked for me. * I have a feeling this film was a subtle middle finger to the massive destruction in Man of Steel. * And although the bar was set pretty low, for reasons that will become very clear after you watch the film, Zemo easily shoots up to Number 2 on the list of Best and Most Compelling Villains in all of the MCU films* Spoiler time! * If you throw in the entire MCU, then Fisk and Killgrave are easily up there along with Loki.
  18. I still rank Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker (the uncut version) as one of the best, if not THE Best, animated Batman film of all time.
