  1. Psycho was an "Enemy Robot Show Car," NOT a space car. I've got the box right here to prove it.
  2. Any news or updates about these? Or has it become vaporware?
  3. I miss seeing these FP killmarks: I rarely display her sporting the standard FAST Pack set-up.
  4. ^^Guess ScarJo's got competition for MCU's "dat ass" trophy. In any case, latest trailer: Yeah, I'm getting hyped for the series!
  5. You're thinking of ST: Nemesis. The first really sucky even numbered film. Insurrection was the one that felt like a regular TV episode of the week. That was the one with the peace-loving aliens vs the stretch-faced aliens, horrible jokes at Worf's expense, and a joystick controller for the Enterprise. Back on topic, in any case, I'd rather watch Vader whupping ass again In Rebels Season 2 premiere.
  6. ^^meaning the articulation will be severely limited, and the paint apps will stink. After tonight's episode, Like Teddy KGB in Rounders, I feel so unsatisfied.
  7. Been on a bit of a BSG trip at work lately: FINAL BOSS BATTLE MUSIC!!
  8. Of course, there's absolutely no way to get any of those Poe figures to do anything like that pose hanging off the X-Wing. Regarding Hasbro and Disney's actions, Hasbro's been screwing up its toylines long before the Mouse came along. Look back to the past five years, and you'll see complaints about distribution, inability to find figures in the stores, absolutely mind-boggling decisions on case assortments (which figures to pack--and worse, re-pack--with each wave), a decision to over-produce figures in support of the Phantom Menance's 3D release , fewer accessories included with the figures, and missed opportunities galore to have figures released in support of media, cartoons, and video games (later season Clone War figures, figures for the main heroes in Rebels, Satele Shan or any other Jedi from Star Wars: The Old Republic). The cracks really started to show with the distribution of the Vintage line, but probably started even earlier than that.
  9. ^^Yes and no. Considering that these are labeled "exclusives," Hasbro and/or Walmart will jack up the price on these even more than usual. Considering the lack of accessories, the not-so-great face-sculpts, and the Russian-roulette you'd deal with in terms of paint apps quality, I guess you would be paying for the fancy looking box? Besides, I don't think I saw Captain Phasma's name in that super-articulated list.
  10. As I've said before, there's definitely a few scenes or episodes early on that may push the wrong buttons with some folks. But the show is so well done. This isn't some hackneyed, derivative, lowest common denominator show. Or one where the more you think about it, the bigger the plot holes become. In fact, I've actually re-watched older eps to pick up on things that I didn't catch on the first viewing. It's good enough to hold up to repeated viewings. And the story's been building upon itself and adding a great deal of depth to its characters. I wish I could say more, but I don't want to spoil the series for anyone.
  11. Just finished watching the season finale of Mr. Robot. This has been simply the best rookie season I have seen for a TV series since the Ron Moore Battlestar Galactica. Even though there's a number of dangling threads to carry forward into Season 2, I have no idea what's in store for next season. And believe me, that's a good thing. The influences from certain movies are there to be found. But regardless, damn, it's been one hell of an impressive experience.
  12. Considering the crap treatment Hasbro's been giving to the 3.75" scale (more 5 POA figures, mediocre--at best--paint apps, rising prices for less quality, etc.), some idiot jackhole decided to make his own KOTOR-era Sith Troopers. Malak's finally getting the backup he deserves:
  13. Not sure if this has been posted before in this thread, but this is a great to-scale map of the solar system: http://joshworth.com/dev/pixelspace/pixelspace_solarsystem.html Really gives you a sense of how much empty space there is out there, especially when you're just using the right arrow or scroll bar to traverse the distances. Pretty insane how we've been able to send probes to all of these various planets (dwarf or otherwise) and still snap damn good photos of them.
  14. "Stupid, stupid, stupid! . . . And very cruel! . . . . . . And very stupid!!" But oh so very entertaining: http://mashable.com/2015/07/16/marvel-dubsmash-war/ The Agent Carter crew got some good digs on Chloe and Clark.
  15. ^^Could it have anything to do with how the point that those two rotate around is outside of Pluto's actual mass/body?
  16. ^^My "SWAG" ("Scientific" Wild-Ass Guess)? It has something to do with 1) its gravitational/tidal push-pull with Charon (think Earth-Moon tidal forces X 10000) and 2) Pluto's eccentric orbit around the sun. That massive distance between its closest and furthest approach from the sun has to have some unusual impact, right?
  17. Latest Pluto pics showing the broken-up heart: http://space.io9.com/pluto-has-a-broken-heart-in-the-latest-photos-from-new-1717785162. I remember seeing those first pics of Neptune in the newspaper. Amazing how much has changed since the last time we made our first visit to another planet.
  18. Anyone else watching Mr. Robot? The pilot and second episode were pretty damn good. There was some clunky dialogue and a few scenes that were a bit much in the third episode. But I'm curious to see how this series plays out. Plus, those extended intro scenes so far have been extremely well done.
  19. ^^Probably due to that Frozen sequel being attached to it? EDIT: A7 beat me to the punch.
  20. Her "acting" in GI Joe: Retaliation was pretty cringe-worthy. But she sorta looks the part and can unquestionably pull off the stunt work.
  21. ^^What's not to love about a motorcycle that has packs of chest missiles, two bloody extendable arm blades, and is a nice shade of blue?
  22. If the rest of the second season is as dark as this (and doesn't devolve into Inquisitor of the Week garbage), we're in for a treat. Vader was straight owning them the entire time! A few other observations: Can't wait to see what happens next with Ahsoka and Rex!
  23. Dracula, Island Cult Leader, Bond villain, Middle Earth Wizard, Sith Lord. . . . and metal afficionado: You will not be forgotten.
