  1. Another old custom. Trying to mimic the ROTJ pose on the Sail Barge: And yeah, I know he wasn’t wearing the glove yet.
  2. So yeah, still feeling like this new series is lacking somehow, just as with the original series. Like they’ll do an arc or story originally done in the comics, but it feels dumbed down or somehow lacks the same punch or oomph. It’s obvious what story they were trying to tell in this ep, but it just doesn’t land. Anyone with any knowledge about the comic book stories knows how the story is going to end. But it’s just there; the story and characters aren’t somehow elevated. This is definitely not on the level of Batman: The Animated Series or Justice League.
  3. So, my initial impressions of this new X-Men series? It definitely feels like a continuation of the old cartoon, which is both a good and bad thing. I could do without the soap opera, character drama. I really don’t want these love triangle things to be stretched out. Same with the big dark secrets stuff. But some of the underlying messages in the stories are solid. And Morph has vastly improved. Both for being a walking cameo for all characters in the X-Men pantheon and for being a true bro’ to Wolvie.
  4. If they had more time to flesh out the world, I’d like to see them add in all the races and such (Gerudo, Rito, Goron, fish-folk 😅, etc.) But being a movie, I could see some form of Gannon getting the Triforce of Power, Zelda gets captured, Link goes to rescue her. Keep the story basic for a movie. Whether that means Link is a knight protecting Zelda or just some schlub that walks into a cave and is given a sword by some kooky old dude, I’ll leave up to the writers. But there’s enough tapestry to play with and add, if they use those general plot points above.
  5. Dueling bass and lead guitar:
  6. I think ol' Junkyard would just turn around and bite the snot out of a 'Nok.
  7. Turbo Terrain, Stratos, and Aqua Fighters: One of the few times I added the little silver bits onto the Aqua Fighter.
  8. Another original figure and the custom inspired by it:
  9. At least, there’s a book ending we can all compare it to. So, if it enhances the story and adds more depth, awesome. But if it strays too far off, then we can scream bloody hell murder and dracarys the whole lot of them.
  10. I’m sure I could break out a ton of inappropriate jokes about Psylocke’s pose. But the uber-nerd in me is asking, “Why the hell is Apocalypse helping the Sentinels?”
  11. All the Spectres (excluding Spectre 7 ) next to their ride : Nice to see a promo shot of the whole Ghost crew!
  12. GX-88 is smaller than the old Matchbox beast, but surprisingly heavy for its size. Love how well the butterfly shoulder joint works, as it allows for some good two-handed sword poses with a proper gap between the two hands. All the joints hold surprisingly well. And it's amazing how much this set has to do and still does fairly well. An absolute beaut' when it comes to engineering and its design.
  13. ^^So, which miniature version of Vehicle Voltie/Dairugger XV is this? And what's your impressions of it?
  14. My kiddos read the books, and they weren’t complaining while watching it. Now the movie version? They were complaining within the first five minutes.😅
  15. The Pacific was just brutal meat for the gristle. I could understand why it took some of those guys a long while to get back to some semblance of normalcy. I don't envy the conditions they had to endure. Masters of the Air, while not as brutal, still made you realize that these guys still went through a different kind of hell (especially before the P-51's could escort them the whole sortie).
  16. ^^Pretty much this. Kinda revealing your hand if it's a hundred years before the PT, but ALLEGEDLY no Sith for over 1000 years. So what? This Acolyte winds up killing a bunch of Jedi and gets away with it. With no one else the wiser about it? Or bad Sith person who "breaks good"? So, can "technically" say that the Acolyte is NOT a Sith . . . from a certain point of view. As always, let's see how the story pans out.
  17. Mommy-Daughter Mando’s:
  18. Yeah, pretty much the 3.75 inch/25th anniversary figures. Pretty sure half of them have some sort of custom touch or numerous custom touches.
  19. Thanks to Masters of the Air and since it’s highly unlikely that I’ll bring down the Skystriker and X-19 anytime soon, I figured I’d take out the two flyboys and add them to the display:
  20. Still my favorite theme from CT:
  21. More like the old guard are looking all serious and cool, and the future Countess Wren walks in acting the fool. Causing the elder Countess Wren to face-palm in the back.
