They wanna impress me? Pose that Legioss with the legs in a wide, bent knee stance, and have the arm holding the gun posed straight out to the side, parallel to the ground. (Think standard James Bond pointing gun pose.) If it can hold that pose, we'll know it's a solid piece. I doubt they'll have the stones to do it though.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, in theaters Dec. 16, 2016
Mog replied to Dobber's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Saw's the connection to the Erso's. To say Saw should have been left on the cutting room floor shows a complete misunderstanding of his importance and relationship to the Erso family. Without Saw, there would have been no need for the Rebels to even bring Jyn along in the first place. -

If I'm remembering A New Hope correctly, the only problem with using Dantooine is that it had been abandoned for "quite some time" according the Imperials who relayed the info. to either Tarkin or Vader. So, using that setting as the Rebel base for Rogue One would have been another continuity issue to gripe about. Two things we really need to give the film credit for though: -

Well Ani/Vader isn't exactly a guy who stops and thinks out a strategy. Always been kinda impulsive, fly by the seat of his pants. Also, loved how -

Just got back from the movie. Much, MUCH better than Force Awakens. Lots of little Easter eggs for fans of the original film. Subtle enough for those in the know, but nothing required or essential to enjoy the film. So, does this mean that the Death Star Architect is no longer canon?! Seriously, why the hell is an EXHAUST port sucking IN the torpedo, instead of pushing it OUT? Lastly, can we have a stand-alone film with K-2SO and Chopper finding HK-47 and having hilarity ensue? [cough] Empire is still the best [cough] This one is definitely up there though, but it ain't unseating the king. -
I just want the old girl in her garish original colors, not this metallic paint job. Plus, a LARGE SCALE version of the TV SDF-1 is my last holy grail for Macross.

Agent Kallus from Star Wars Rebels has those massive mutton chops/side beard thingies too. But yeah, pretty sure the Empire ain't too fond of its officers looking like scruffy-lookin' nerfherders. -

Wonder if we'll get a scene where mis-labels a certain intake port as an "EXHAUST port"? -
How to repaint/customize paint scheme on toys?
Mog replied to thetrollphysicist's topic in The Workshop!
I'd echo chyll2's comments too: the most important thing is to plan, plan, plan. Figure out how your color-scheme is gonna look in all three modes. Figure out what areas are gonna have a ton of paint rub, and plan to sand those areas heavily. A few other tips: 1) Figure out early on if you're going to use stickers or decals. If you're going with stickers, realize that the market for custom stickers is pretty dry now. You can try making your own custom stickers, but realize you'll need a white background for them to really show up on the Valk. Unless you use a special kind of sticker sheet with a white background (or somehow find someone with an ALPS printer that has white ink), your sticker or decal won't be visible on the darker shaded part of your Valk. 2) Make sure you remember and keep track of where each screw and part goes. Not all screws on a Valk are the same. I learned this the hard way with my YF-21. 3) For large areas, you'll probably want to spray paint the parts for a nice even look. 4). Be patient. Give parts time to dry, and take things slowly. Better to take your time and get it right the first time than rush through and realize you have to re-work or re-do certain parts. Hope this helps! And keep us posted on what you decide to do! -
Of those four, KO is the only option remotely appealing. And is that silly best of seven series so important that they couldn't put stinkin' Cesaro into the 4-way title match?!

To quoth the Vader: NOOOOOOOOOO!!! Rest in peace to the man behind the true BOSS of the Star Wars Saga (saves the Queen's ship, kills super battle droids twice his size gangsta style, lugs around Death Star schematics and completes his mission, doesn't take crap from Ewoks, hid Luke's lightsaber, saved Threepio's hide far too many times, and fought Yoda to a draw in Daigobah). -
Considering her quick bio straight up says "WILD CARD," I really didn't see anything wrong with the sequence. Harley's actions in the scenes in question pretty much demonstrated that wild card tendency in spades. Better to SHOW those actions on-screen instead of just have people talk about it. (That was my major annoyance with Attack of the Clones: Anakin always talked about how Obi was like a father to him, but none of the ACTIONS on-screen backed those statements up.) For me, the scene in question in Suicide Squad was effective for both story purposes and for character background.

Seemed pretty clear to me that Bats So, how many people watched this for free thanks to T-Mobile? [sheepishly raises hand] I think it was brought up earlier in the thread, but I'm glad they changed a scene Overall, the film had some hokey lines [i'm looking at you imaginary esposa de El Diablo!], but it was alright.

Other than seeing how it looks in fighter mode, I really hope they put some RATCHET joints in those shoulders, elbows, hips, and knees. That's gonna be a make-or-break factor right there. Plus, I secretly hope they're designing this with the idea of connecting it to a little old big and burly bomber.

Dang, Kanan's going full-Kenobi with that beard! Curious about the return of Pre Vizsla's darksaber too. Glad to see the blue-skinned tactician push his way back into canon. So, does this mean there's a chance we'll see Emperor Palpy pick up some Force-sensitive, red-haired girl down the line?

I've probably gone soft in my old age (especially after having kids), but I did enjoy Finding Dory. It kicked me in the feels a couple of times. But it was a fun, enjoyable, and silly romp. For me personally, I consider Finding Nemo one of the better Pixar entries out there, and Dory was a worthy sequel. SEPTOPUS!! Considering the voice actor involved, I wonder if one of the animators tried to slip in an image of Hank doing the Al Bundy "chilling with hand in crotch" move? Also, Piper was a cute little short.
