  1. Will I lose my Pinoy card, if I say that I enjoyed the “Making of Float” feature more than I did the actual short?
  2. Well, ranking the prequels from worst to best, it should be: AOTC, TPM, then ROTS. I cut TPM only a little slack for having to live up to 20+ years of hype/build up. But AOTC screwed the pooch with the Ani-Padme romance, showed minimal camaraderie and fun between Obi and Ani, and made the Clones vs. droids battles a dull CGI-fest (with stupid, unnecessary quick zooms).
  3. If our speculating is correct and those recessed tabs in the forearms double up as connection points for the Tread, I’ll be curious to see how Sentinel pulls off the Tread’s chest and cockpit. It looks like this Legioss will sit deeper into the Tread. Factor in that there isn’t much of a sizeable gap between the Legioss arms, and Sentinel’s gonna need to pull off some design magic to get the Tread’s chest and cockpit area(s) to work right.
  4. ^^So, you’re saying there’s a CHANCE that Yoda got it on and is a baby daddy! <insert Dumb and Dumber meme>
  5. As I mentioned previously. Plus, it looks like the hip joints or the red centerpiece rotates to move the hip joints closer to the chest intakes. All in all, the whole leg and foot assembly compresses a lot tighter than the Toynami version.
  6. My main concerns are that the shoulders and hip joints are strong enough to hold poses and that fighter mode locks securely in place. In terms of design though, you can see how they’ve made a bunch of advances: * Feet are massively collapsed in fighter mode, so they’re no longer sticking way out. * Cockpit and nosecone redesigned, so that the nosecone isn’t hanging so low in armo-soldier mode. * Added double jointed elbows. * Gave wings a downward cant. Understand, I’m a fan of the Toynami Alpha-Beta combo’s look. But even I know those Alphas are prone to breaking every which way and can’t hold certain poses to save their lives. Sentinel’s got some goodwill built up for the quality Ride Armors they’ve made. So, I’m willing to see if they can pull off this Legioss.
  7. I once saw the Mandalorian kill two men with a hypo-pencil, a freakin’ hypo-pencil! Regarding Baby Yoda, I can just imagine OG Yoda’s ghost saying, “Much had I drank. Intoxicated I was. When 800 years you’ve been, get a little frisky and backed up you will too!!”
  8. Yes, let’s make this thing so big, that it won’t be financially feasible to ever make a connecting Tread for it. If this puppy can hold a pose and sport more articulation in Armo-Soldier and if the fighter mode locks together solidly, it’ll be worth it.
  9. I think the anticipated release date is June 2020. Should we place the over/under as November 2020 instead?
  10. Just watched the most recent episode of Mr. Robot. Good gravy!! The ep starts off a bit over dramatic. But by the end of it, it delivers a vicious gut-punch. The clues have been there, scattered and sprinkled throughout the past three seasons, but . . . damn. Kinda flips everything on its head and makes me rethink all the assumptions about the story.
  11. The main seven had three Legiosses and one Tread. The Green can be viewed as the CF version. Plus, there’s the additional black Shadow version (both a manned and drone version) that shows up at the end.
  12. Just off the top of my head. Silly Oberyn forgot to keep his distance against a big and burly opponent. Do like that the Mando armor doesn’t make him invincible.
  13. About time they did a Star Forge robes version of Revan. But not into the scale, don’t enjoy that it’s an exclusive, and really wish they had made it so the hood could be moved left or right and not restrict head movement.
  14. Damn, I really don’t want to reinvest in another Legioss. But it looks oh so good! Not exactly the pose I envisioned to show off the joint strength and posing options, but if the Legioss can hold this with no issues, we might have a winner: And if they add a Tread to this, I’ll be kicking myself for not buying it.
  15. Some of us who ordered from overseas still haven’t gotten ours either. NY originally listed 10/26 as the release date, but I still haven’t gotten any sort of shipping notification. Not even listed as in stock on their website yet. Between Yellow being delayed and now this, I’m kinda annoyed.
  16. BELLYPLATES!!!!!!1111!!!!! :5:

    :p

  17. So, a bit of thread necromancy here, but bear with this proud papa. . . My son's 8 years old now and finally figured out how to get the chunky monkey into all three modes. While messing with fighter mode, he extended the front landing gear, and I heard an audible "Oww!" from him. Yup, that landing gear-induced pain means he's fully initiated into playing with Valks now!
  18. So, I just finished up Season 2 (Just FYI, all the episodes for Season 2 are now available for FREE on Youtube. . . with a few commercials). I saw the final throw-down beforehand, saw a few of the major story-beats for the season, and read some of the synopses. But yeah, it was still enjoyable to watch everything unfold, even knowing how everything goes down. Really great addition to the series. . . . . And can we all agree that the LaRusso's should take most of the blame? Lastly, I really hope they don't do something cheesy or stupid like making Miguel's father turn out to be Kreese or Terry Silver. Not really necessary for the story.
  19. “Why did you change the bellyplates’ shape?” ”Why all the tampo on the bottom of the fighter?” ”You do realize this also has a Gerwalk mode, right?” I know.
  20. Nice! Where did you order him from? I’m still waiting for some sort of shipping processing notice from NY.
  21. I always assumed Omega 1 launched the missiles from the Fast Packs on its arms. The non-FP set-up is loaded with guns. But really no spots for missiles.
  22. So, I got inspired to carve a pumpkin this year, thanks to this thread. Thought about doing an Macross Plus one, but I don’t think most people would get it or recognize Isamu’s hand plane pose. (People would probably mistake Isamu for some zombie silhouette.) But then I found this pattern, which works as an old school callback for the new series (that wrapped up last December) and the SOC figure that was re-released this past summer:
  23. As a 3-mode figure, I can see reasons for design compromises. Heck, you can see it in the Yamato version favoring a skinny fighter profile, but having to give up beefier legs in battroid. But some design choices on the Bandai have me going: and asking “How is this an improvement?”
