He's got missiles, blades, saddle bags, 2 guns, and longer thighs to make him taller. And he winds up with an alien chick that doesn't have amnesia. Other than pretending to be a woman for survival's sake, it's good to be Yellow.

SQUEEE!!!! Missiles confirmed. Yellow’s slightly taller. And blades retract (almost) fully!! Thanks for the pics, Jenius!! Maybe would still like a slightly lighter blue. But Sentinel addressed the biggest worries.

Thanks for the pics! So, the million dollar question remains: what do you want to do with the yellowed bird? Custom repaint or restore it to pristine white? By the way, that's some really uneven, sloppy panel-lining. Don't know what the person was thinking, trying to panel-line the grey vent on the chest too. Personally, I prefer using a lighter grey pen to fill in panel lines on the white parts; it's subtle but can still pop. Here's a pic of my Yammie 1/48 grey panel-lined on the left side and middle but left untouched on the right side. Panel-lining fully done up (used black micron pen on the blue parts):
-
Regarding panel-lining, I’m a fan of using micron pens to fill them in. You can use the standard black or go with light gray for a more subtle line. Plus, it’s easy to wipe off with water, sweat, or spit, if you fudge the line a little.

Plan, plan, plan. Figure out how your color scheme will look in all three modes. Are you doing a full repaint, or just repainting a few key areas? If you do a full repaint, will you use decals or stickers for the key markings? Going with custom markings? Understand unless it’s going on a white part of the Valk, it may not show up very well. (Plus, no more ALPS printers means your options for white-backed custom stickers/decals is limited.) If doing a full repaint, it’s probably better to disassemble the Valk completely, then spray paint. Make sure you keep track of all the parts and screws you take out; the screws are NOT always the same size. There’s also the issue of sanding the parts down and adding clearcoat after painting (to prevent the paint from rubbing off when you transform the Valk). So to put it mildly, plan, PREP, and give yourself a TON of time to work on your custom. Patience and prep can save you heartaches later on.

I HATED the Inquisitor and his spinner lightsaber at first. But after Vader wrecked everyone’s ish (Season 2, Episodes 1 and 2?), Rebels kept getting better and better. When the end credits started to roll on Rebels’ last episode, I wanted to stand up and give them a standing ovation. Such a satisfying and beautiful ending! Yes, it’s that good. And yes, it became a worthy successor to Clone Wars.

DYRL Max = Pyrrhic victory over Milia TV Max = Pwns Milia
-
Count me as another person that prefers Max in his 1A ride. That's the bird where he established his reputation as a bad-ass ace. That's the bird he was flying when he bested Milia. I know the 1J's are the cool looking pair, but I still have a soft spot for the TV-Max 1A.

Found the old Clone Wars thread here: But the reason I'm bringing it back is because The Clone Wars series will be leaving Netflix on April 7th. So if you want to get one last fix of Clone action, Pong Krell, Hondo Ohnaka, Cad Bane, Star Wars meets Aliens and Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Death Watch, Ventress, Maul making himself worthy of the Sith title, Ahsoka growing up, Rex kicking butt, Fives moving up the ranks, seeing a slight justification of why the Clones were so brutal with Order 66, lightsaber battles that got more intense as the seasons progressed, and Anakin slipping ever so slightly to the dark side, now is the time. As someone who initially looked down at this series (just loved Volume II of Genndy Tartakovsky's version a ton), the series was just so good (even with the occasional clunkers) that it eventually won me over.

The GoT guys have a lot of good storylines to pick if they do go with the Old Republic era. They could run the Revan story (war with Mandos, his fall, then KOTOR 1 storyline). Or jump off the Zayne Carrick idea: a Padawan who lacks the skill to reach Knight level and gets involved in some shady ish. Between the goodwill built up from GoT and the “secretly good” rep of most things Old Republic related, this has the potential to bring back the jaded fans. . . if it’s good.

I believe the release date for Yellow was scheduled for June 2019. And with SOC Voltron already up for pre-order and scheduled for a late July/(August?) release, I was just getting a little itchy.

Any word on when Yellow will go up for pre-order? Decided to change up the display a little while waiting (and wound up popping a few pieces out of their ball joints during the transformation ):

A medieval, sword-wielding FROG? Yes! And his theme music fits him perfectly: And that moment you realized 'ish just got real in BOTW:
-
The music was a little too on the nose sometimes, as if it's screaming "HEY, IT'S MUSIC FROM THE 90'S!!" As an uber fan of Garbage, I do love "Only Happy When It Rains," but it didn't really connect with the story other than to point out it's the 90's. Personally, I think "Vow" or "Push It" would have fit better with the Carol's story. Also, am I the only one who thought "That's Matthew Murdock, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand's unofficial theme song!" once "Come As You Are" started up? Lastly, the background music sounded like someone trying to imitate Trent Reznor's The Social Network soundtrack. Despite some minor annoyances with a few of the music/song choices, I thought the overall film was solid, probably around the level of Ant Man and the Wasp. There's some things I don't like in the film, but it's a serviceable outing.

Still didn’t stop him from having a little fun with her. Plus, I’m sure his Q-taught lesson in Tapestry also reminded him that you SHOULDN’T always take the safe route.

I only recall the original Lion Voltron slightly, as a neighbor had it. I remember the Yellow Lion having ears flaps that opened up to reveal some sort of weapons. Another childhood neighbor had the crappier Lion Voltron that could fit the pilot figures. Never was impressed with that one. A good buddy of mine had/has the Toynami version, but I didn't really have a chance to handle it much. I finally got all the parts for the original Bandai/Matchbox Vehicle Voltron less than a year ago. And it's the only version of Voltron I've gotten so far. It has minimal articulation (just rotating shoulders and less than 90 degree elbow articulation). But that sucker's HUGE (well over a foot tall)! I see that the SOC Voltron/Golion is 27cm tall. So after getting used to Vehicle Voltron/Dairugger's massive size, I'm trying to temper my expectations for the size of SOC version.

True, but he also did have a thing for Vash and her sometimes questionable moral compass. Plus, he's not above giving trouble officers a second chance ala Ro Laren.

The hype reel lost me as soon as I heard “First Order.” I’ll wait until they eventually revamp the area for the Original or Prequel eras.

^^Yah, went from Y26,800 (or Y28,600) to Y31,990. . . . And now, it's sold out at Y31,990. Got one order in, but I'm hoping against hope that Dairugger XV won't be as crazy. . . . And yet again, NY jacks it up to Y37,000!

Best of luck to you on that. I thankfully was able to keep the Air and Sea Team I bought years ago in fairly good condition, but I had to spend a significant chunk of change to get the Land Team. There's just too many parts that can break down on the old Bandai/Matchbox one (the clips on the red fighter, the fists breaking and no longer staying inside the arms, the connections on the hip joints not holding or getting locked into place, just to name a few). Plus, you're dealing with a 30+ year old toy. You might luck out on a knock-off, but the odds aren't favorable. P.S.--Looks like NY's pre-order for Golion is already sold out.
