  1. If Tarantino's got one more film in him, I'd prefer to see him do Kill Bill Volume 3, more than Star Trek. But if the man wants to try his hand at Sci Fi before bowing out, it's his choice to make.
  2. Thanks for the pics everyone! I really hope they paint that shoulder armor red on Houquet and not leave it white like they did on the CM's version. Yeah, I know they aren't exactly supposed to be anime accurate, but I personally don't like the vest-like look. This looks so much better: Also, looks like someone forgot to add the wheel guard on the front wheel and the squiggly lines on the helmet face. Houquet looks a little THICC, but I suspect it's to balance out how the legs look in armored mode. I'm hoping the gap is just a mistransformation. Lastly, am I correct in guessing the red-white Legioss versions are just updated prototypes of Stick's ride? Solid A-stance for the legs. Just need to see if the shoulder joints are strong enough to hold the weight of the arms fully stretched out, parallel to the ground.
  3. So, there's a dimension where Dormammu kills Dr. Strange, . . . and another dimension where Dr. Strange talks and then gets killed by Dormammu, . . . and another dimension where Dormammu stabs and kills Dr. Strange, . . . and another dimension where Dr. Strange dies, . . . and another dimension where Dr. Strange says, "Dormammu, I've come to bargain" and then gets killed, . . . and another dimension . . .
  4. I’ll admit I didn’t follow Samurai Jack too closely. But I remember it ending beautifully. And after the kewl factor wore off in Clone Wars Volume 1, Volume 2 came back with crazy visuals and some of the best stories for the prequels. Best stinkin’ version of Grievous at least.
  5. Deep down: I suspect some of us guys are hoping for PG-13 for “occasionally gratuitous panty shots.”
  6. As long as there’s a good story behind those crazy visuals, he’s usually done well. Seeing a momma T-Rex defend her babies and deciding to bust the kneecap of a dick dino attacking them was an efficient way to get the point across.
  7. Ali can definitely bring it. His Cottonmouth in Luke Cage Season 1 was a damn good foil. That character was gangster to the core but with a set of standards.
  8. More pics of VV at SDCC: https://news.toyark.com/2019/07/18/sdcc-2019-tamashii-nations-vehicle-voltron-godzilla-star-wars-cowboy-bebop-and-more-353698
  9. Cottonmouth was resurrected as Blade.
  10. Any chance this will improve the likelihood we’ll get some Gatchaman figures of the five mains? In their OG outfits?
  11. “As long/many as there are letters in the alphabet!” Honestly, I’m more curious about when and where this DS9 documentary will stream: https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/SDCC-2019-star-treak-deep-space-nine-what-we-left-behind?amp Didn't find out about it until after its one-day theater run.
  12. Could just be B4’s body (Nemesis ) with Data’s, umm, data downloaded onto it?
  13. Whoever posed VV shouldn’t have mixed the hand types. Hope the big fist type (that the red car is showing in the display) can also hold the sword. I do kinda wish we also had the option to attach the forearm cars with the tops facing to the sides (rather than always facing front). Oh well.
  14. To be honest, I’m surprised Hasbro hasn’t done this more for its potential big ticket /holy grail items. Am I remembering incorrectly, but didn’t the Star Wars BMF and Imperial Shuttle eventually get sold at discounted prices at stores? So, going this route does reduce Hasbro’s risk while still getting out cool toys, if the demand is there. Plus, it wouldn’t shock me if the toy makers at Hasbro themselves also get energized working on these holy grail toys. . . . Now if we could only get Arcadia to do something similar for a TV-Style SDF-1. . .
  15. He’ll always be Patches to me. ”If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball!”
  16. I'm definitely a long distance away from the epicenter. And the rolling motion definitely got my pool sloshing big-time, displacing massive chunks of water. But that was probably the gentlest 7.1 earthquake I ever experienced. More of a gentle roll than a sudden shake or drop. Ain't knocking the damage anyone closer to the epicenter experienced, and I hope everyone got out of this one physically safe.
  17. Saw it with the wifey last night. We both enjoyed it and thought it was a FUN flick. It's a nice palette cleanser after Endgame, and a good date flick. There is a little bit of Spidey angst. But the MCU version balances it well with awkward-but-endearing teen Peter and never-shuts-up Spidey. Random Thoughts:
  18. Who made the custom TV Roy pilot, or was that a repaint? That’s a nice combat wing you got there!
  19. I got that one shortly after they first released the Vintage collection 3.75” Pilot Luke (more info on this X-Wing version here: http://www.rebelscum.com/sagaxwing.asp). Wing proportions are nice, but they went overboard with the weathering on the engines. They blackened the engines so much that it looks like someone blew out/smoked out the engines pretty horribly. I agree with tekering: if I had to do it all over again, I’d probably go with the Death Star Trench Run X-Wing, in terms of price, cockpit accuracy, and wing proportions. Probably just hella hard to find it at a reasonable price now.
  20. Watched it with the family. We liked it. For a fourth movie, it's actually pretty good. At first blush, it may appear that they're repeating a bunch of story lines from the previous films. But they change it just enough to make it interesting and different. I thought 3 was a nice way to end the series, but 4 tells a good story and ends the series in a good place.
  21. Them be fighting words, Mike! Kefka was a better villain than Sephiroth, never mind IV's Golbez and Zemus. I like the love theme in IV, but nothing tops Celes' aria or all the ridiculously good leitmotifs from VI. The Spoony Bard and the twins are pretty useless characters, and I don't like that you're forced into a set party for IV's final battles. Don't get me wrong: there's a lot of things to like/love about IV, but VI just took the series concept to its zenith.
  22. Wonder if this will be good movie, like how "Rush" told a good story of the Niki Lauda-James Hunt rivalry.
  23. It'd be nice if we could get a remake that leans more into Yoshitaka Amano's drawings, kinda like the FMV's that were added with the PS1 re-release. Personally consider FFVI to have the best story, characters, and all-time best villain of the series.
