  1. ". . . where our heroes run away from a Pokemon. . . . run away from a Pokemon. . . . run away from a Pokemon. And then run away . . . from a POKEMON!!!" Yep, pretty much
  2. I know it’s a snowball’s chance in hell, but I’d still like for Arcadia to go for broke and release a: TV. Style. SDF-1. Transformable, 1/3000 scale or bigger, somewhat reasonably priced That is all.
  3. Took what could have been a throwaway character, and made him into something memorable and awesome. Sucks that health issues finally took him, but it didn’t stop him from leaving his mark. Condolences to his family and friends.
  4. “All of this has happened before and will happen again. . .” OMG, MR. ROBOT IS A PREQUEL TO BSG!!!!111!!!!!!! Elliott becomes the original Cylon!
  5. I'm a big, BIG fan of Esmail's Mr. Robot, especially Season 1 and Season 3 (though I reserve judgment to change my opinion if he screws the pooch with this final season). His cinematography is always top-notch, and the stories have been solid so far. But even with him behind the camera on this reboot, I'm not really sold on another redo of BSG. In my opinion, Moore & Eick knocked their version out of the park. It's gonna be damn hard to top what they pulled off for four seasons.
  6. Just peachy. I really hope this is so they get everything right and painted correctly. So, Houquet release is optimistically December 2020 at the earliest?
  7. One of my blue Alphas had both hip joints crack and turn to dust, so it's being held together by paper clips in battloid mode. My red Alpha took a few stage dives over the years, so one of the feet/booster parts is cracked. Still holds in place, but definitely hesitant to transform it anymore. I also broke off one of the arm-to-leg connections, trying to get everything to compress and compact in fighter mode. When I had the greenie, I had to super glue its midsection to keep it from collapsing in battloid mode. The Shadow Alpha I once owned had the infamous banana boat syndrome in fighter mode. So, when trying to position everything to reduce that effect, I wound up breaking off one of the winglets. Yeah, the Toynami Alphas are fidgety and fragile as all get-out. BUT they do look beautiful when you combo it with the Beta.
  8. Umm, am I the only one who sees this paint scheme and is reminded of the so-called Stealth color scheme from the Robotech: Battlecry video game?
  9. Since a significant chunk of my collections are customs, I wonder how they would value them. Would their replacement value be equal to the number of figures I purchased to make the single custom figure? I mean there’s one custom I made from parts of at least 8 figures. Or in Valk terms, I have one custom with a ton of custom stickers I purchased. However, the guy that made the stickers utilized a printer that’s been discontinued for years now, and the ink and other supplies for that specific printer are virtually impossible to find now. How would they value that? I could see myself being that guy that gives an appraiser a massive headache.
  10. The hefty weight of the combined form is gonna be an issue with any stand. Maybe two or three flightpose/flexidisplay stands could do it? But not sure if they ever resolved the paint rub issue with their clear ends. And not sure if the newer versions have a hollowed out or solid base. Again Voltie’s weight will be the biggest factor.
  11. ^^Legendary Defender Voltron?!!!1111!!!!111!!!!!!111!
  12. Forget the mammoth! I want a partner T-Rex that can tag team with me to take down a woolly meat feast.
  13. I'll concede that the old-school version has features that the SOC doesn't have (like Yellow having those guns/rockets that popped out from the sides of his head). And SOC canNOT do that "Cross and pound arms on the chest" pose that Voltron does when he first combines: BUT C'MON! SOC is just so stinkin' poseable and has so many wonderful weapons! Can definitely do the "All Lions ROAR!" pose: "I'll start by dual-wielding against the Robeast of the Week (RotW)! That will be a change-up from the norm!": "Whoa! RotW almost hit me there!" "Go spear and mouth-blade combo against RotW?" "Okay lost the spear. Maybe if I use the mouth blade and shield. . ." "Wait. Who are we kidding?! Why the HELL AM I WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME HERE?!!" Two-handed grip: Dual-wielding with Blazing Sword. . . a much better combo!
  14. Titan Power’s can’t split into the separate lions. That’s a must-have feature for me.
  15. Lot of good info. summed into one article. Minimal spin and hyping. And it gives you info. on how this impacts the Marvel and Disney movies and shows still currently on Netflix.
  16. And her parents* And “I just want to drink my fresh green milk in peace” Luke. . . . Just messing around; I agree with your points. They never really did much to make the new main three compelling or endearing. * If Kylo Ben’s explanation is to be believed.
  17. So, what am I supposed to watch for the other 35 months after I gorge on The Mando, Clone Wars’ final season, Falcon and Winter Soldier, Wanda Vision, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, What If?, The Other Series that really, really, REALLY ties to the MCU (even though Agents of SHIELD and the Netflix Marvel series just welcomed Spidey to limbo hell), and Song of the South during that first month?
  18. Strong dollar don’t mean squat if Houquet never gets produced and becomes vaporware. That’s why I’m really hoping Sentinel is doing well. It’s way, WAY too early to speculate. But I’d prefer this be a “Toynami finally releases an awesome Beta after years of delays,” rather than a “Beagle shows off a beautiful Houquet prototype, but it never gets produced” situation. Again, way too early, but the signs give me pause and some concern.
  19. The hip and shoulder joints are key. I’ve always preferred ratchet joints for those areas on the Legioss/Alpha. But if it must be a friction joint, they’ve got to be able to hold up strong.
  20. Is it bad that the only takeaway I got was that, “Ooh, folded, double-bladed saber. Potential to make a Pong Krell custom has just. . . risen.” Only another half-billion issues to make that custom figure, but at least the saber issue would be easier to solve.
  21. You guys are assuming too much: Are we even certain Houquet will get to market?! DAMN YOU, TARIFFS!!!!! Might need to switch the avatar for good luck. . .
  22. If he unmasks and has a couple scars on his left cheek. . . . . . We’ll know that Filoni has taken his story to live action. Long shot, but I’m intrigued to see where this goes regardless.
  23. Thank you for the pics! This is the money shot right here. By hollowing out the back end of the red intakes, they’re able to compress the legs in even more. Comparing it to the Toynami version, the boosters/exhaust/heels also get pushed into the calves more, preventing the fighter mode from having an excessive backside hanging off the end. The winglets(?) on the Sentinel are also skinnier/less wide than the Toynami version, giving the nose section a much more “pointy” profile. Really digging the design improvements they made here. Hopefully, it all holds up well, stays as one solid connected piece in fighter mode, and can hold its poses strongly in Armo Soldier mode.
