The main seven had three Legiosses and one Tread. The Green can be viewed as the CF version. Plus, there’s the additional black Shadow version (both a manned and drone version) that shows up at the end.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars webseries from Jon Favreau
Mog replied to SMS007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Just off the top of my head. Silly Oberyn forgot to keep his distance against a big and burly opponent. Do like that the Mando armor doesn’t make him invincible.- 1438 replies

About time they did a Star Forge robes version of Revan. But not into the scale, don’t enjoy that it’s an exclusive, and really wish they had made it so the hood could be moved left or right and not restrict head movement.

Damn, I really don’t want to reinvest in another Legioss. But it looks oh so good! Not exactly the pose I envisioned to show off the joint strength and posing options, but if the Legioss can hold this with no issues, we might have a winner: And if they add a Tread to this, I’ll be kicking myself for not buying it.

Some of us who ordered from overseas still haven’t gotten ours either. NY originally listed 10/26 as the release date, but I still haven’t gotten any sort of shipping notification. Not even listed as in stock on their website yet. Between Yellow being delayed and now this, I’m kinda annoyed.

So, a bit of thread necromancy here, but bear with this proud papa. . . My son's 8 years old now and finally figured out how to get the chunky monkey into all three modes. While messing with fighter mode, he extended the front landing gear, and I heard an audible "Oww!" from him. Yup, that landing gear-induced pain means he's fully initiated into playing with Valks now!

So, I just finished up Season 2 (Just FYI, all the episodes for Season 2 are now available for FREE on Youtube. . . with a few commercials). I saw the final throw-down beforehand, saw a few of the major story-beats for the season, and read some of the synopses. But yeah, it was still enjoyable to watch everything unfold, even knowing how everything goes down. Really great addition to the series. . . . . And can we all agree that the LaRusso's should take most of the blame? Lastly, I really hope they don't do something cheesy or stupid like making Miguel's father turn out to be Kreese or Terry Silver. Not really necessary for the story.

“Why did you change the bellyplates’ shape?” ”Why all the tampo on the bottom of the fighter?” ”You do realize this also has a Gerwalk mode, right?” I know.

Nice! Where did you order him from? I’m still waiting for some sort of shipping processing notice from NY.

I always assumed Omega 1 launched the missiles from the Fast Packs on its arms. The non-FP set-up is loaded with guns. But really no spots for missiles.

So, I got inspired to carve a pumpkin this year, thanks to this thread. Thought about doing an Macross Plus one, but I don’t think most people would get it or recognize Isamu’s hand plane pose. (People would probably mistake Isamu for some zombie silhouette.) But then I found this pattern, which works as an old school callback for the new series (that wrapped up last December) and the SOC figure that was re-released this past summer:

As a 3-mode figure, I can see reasons for design compromises. Heck, you can see it in the Yamato version favoring a skinny fighter profile, but having to give up beefier legs in battroid. But some design choices on the Bandai have me going: and asking “How is this an improvement?”
-
Occam’s razor. Borrowing the pic @enphily posted earlier, you can see exactly where that back third of the bellyplates goes in battroid: My photo-editing is a little sloppy and fat-fingered on a smartphone, so apologies if the red stuff above looks harsh.
-
I’m sure there’s other tweaks you did to the photo above, but this is what I’ve been harping about. See how much better looking the bellyplates/hip guards look with some added length? The battroid just looks “right” and tied together now. The bellyplates don’t have to be “Yamato long,” but they look like they can reach the lower portions of the leg’s black trim in the photo above. One other way Bandai can outdo the Yamato is to make the joint strong so the hip guards can be posed at a variety of different angles.

That is the Flight Pose display stands (formerly named Flexi Display stands). Just note that they made changes to the tips, changing them from black rubber to some other clear material. There have been numerous reports that these new clear tips peel off paint on our Valks. So, you may want to proceed with caution if you order these.

Half-joking, half-seriously: wherever you can get a preorder in. The horror stories about preorder madness(TM) are not exaggerations, especially when it comes to any Bandai stuff. You’re literally logged in to a number of Japanese websites, late at night, refreshing like crazy, waiting for that exact moment the preorder goes up. And even when you do get in, you gotta pray that your preorder actually gets processed through and you don’t get “cart jacked” during the entire process. If you miss out on that preorder night, you either gotta get super lucky and find another site that opens up orders on a later date. Or pay some other site an overly inflated price (i.e., NY). I literally had coffee and whiskey with me the night Bandai opened up the preorders for both the 1/48 Max and the SOC Vehicle Voltron. The coffee and whiskey were BOTH NEEDED for that night. EDIT: Just keep your eyes on this thread too; we got some good folks here on this board who will help with linking you to preorder sites.

Yeah. . . I was never too good with decals. Plus, this was around the time that the ALPS printers were being discontinued and getting custom stickers/decals was starting to become almost impossible. I really had to scavenge through my collections for stickers, and do all sorts of ghetto techniques to make stickers for the pilot name and other stickers around the dark parts of the nosecone. I gained a special appreciation for those guys that used to make custom stickers available to us. Making white ink or white backed stickers ain’t easy without the right tools/equipment.

Thanks! But those pics were also taken years ago too. However, I did snap this pic a few days ago to demonstrate how skinny the Yammy’s is in fighter mode: Haven’t transformed her much recently, but still holding up alright.

Yah, been over 10 years since I made that puppy. Probably the most ambitious custom I ever took on.
-
Yah, so delimiter mode = While, high speed mode =
-
And that two row of shutters is probably gonna be covered or nonexistent based on where the bottom/back third of the bellyplates go in battroid and possibly Gerwalk mode. Edit: I thought the mode where Guld goes all out is called Delimiter Mode. While, the mode where the tailfins are canted inwards and the wings are tilted slightly downward is called high speed mode.

I usually find a pattern online, pin it to the pumpkin, and then use a pushpin to get the pattern onto the pumpkin. Then it’s just a matter of cutting. Usually gotta use the pumpkin carving tools you usually find at Target or Walmart.

$60 for the left one locked in stowed mode for fighter; $60 for the right one locked in stowed more for fighter; $60 for the left one locked in gun mode; and $60 for the right one locked in gun mode. EDIT: And $60 each for the four slightly different colored ones that go with the Fast Packs.

I did these pumpkins a few years back: Was more ambitious three years ago, and made one for each family member: Hail Hydra!!
