Considering how other online retailers have initiated refunds and refuse to say if they'll even get more, I think that's just optimism at this point. NY probably received the most orders for the VF31A so it would be troublesome for them to refund all the orders in a single go. No doubt they would be able to fulfill some existing orders but whether they can fulfill every order seems dubious at this point. Most of us are just waiting to see if we're lucky enough to get those few extra units.

I wouldn't suggest accumulating the discount points. I did that once and let it build up to a 100. Care to guess how many percent discount they gave me? 5% A year of heavy shopping and that's all I got. I exchanged 40 points for 4% and recently exchanged 20+ points for 3% so it's a lot better for me to routinely redeem them but it might not work for you. I have no idea how they do the calculations. They said it's a combination of points and rank.

I received that exact same copy+paste reply from NY on my query as well. Judging by mykombini's handling of the item, I wonder if NY would be able to handle the mass refunds or if they'll drag it out and refund us part by part, the same way they ship our items.

Now I'm really curious as to how they prioritize orders. I've resolved myself to getting shafted this time around though since my orders have always been fulfilled a little later than the others here. I just got the payment request as well but I didn't expect the sight of it to anger me even more. I think we all have a toxic love-hate relationship with NY at this point.

NY buyer here as well. I placed 2 orders for a total of 7 units. One on the 6th of October and another on the 23rd. None have shipped and I was originally Rank 3 till NY suddenly decided to reset my rank to 1 for canceling my first Kairos order. They refused to reverse their decision even when I told them I canceled it to make an even bigger order but that's their legendary service for you. The worst part is, I ordered multiples for my friends and now we're all stuck in limbo. I refuse to receive just a refund though. They penalized me for canceling so they should expect the same. Based on my personal experience, they used to prioritize based on the order date/time but they changed it to fulfilling orders with a single unit first.

I don't think I've ever had a pre-order item take this long to ship from NY. 2 full weeks after release and still no news. Reading about canceled orders at another site is making me antsy as well.

I ordered the Mirage 31 more than 2 weeks ago and it hasn't shipped yet. I got the same bullshit warehouse excuse and some 'unexpected large volume of orders' twist. They can be extremely slow sometimes so just wait a little longer.

It's not bad but the problem I have with it is their slow response time. They take days to request extra payment, then take another few days to actually ship out the item.

8 units but they're for friends. I thought they'd be easy to get after release so I didn't get any for myself. Wow. That's awesome! How about an aerial view of the diorama? It looks big but it might just be the angle.
