A little more than that but NY did say they can't send me a single shipment and it'll still have to be 2 separate shipments even if I pay them more. The upsetting part? I initially made 2 orders of 7 each units each but decided to combine them since it appeared in the combine order option. The problem now is that the new order which will still be 2 shipments cost more than the initial 2 orders. Like 10k yen more. They refused to revert to the previous arrangement and they also had the cheek to tell me I'd have to pay them more if I wanted to break them down into even smaller shipments. I went with NY because of their prices as well but I learnt the hard way that they will only honour those prices if bought in small amounts since their toy prices are lower than other retailers and they rely on shipping to turn a profit. Unfortunately, their system offers a lower shipping price if the order is large enough and that eats into their profit, thus the reason why buying 10 units to save on shipping ended up costing almost the same as buying 10 units separately. They did try to placate me by offering to send my item as soon as I paid them yesterday. It's Wednesday now, and I've yet to receive any shipping notice. Would it be too harsh to call them lying bastards?

Because most of us thought you were joking. Any speculation as to the box size? I wonder if it'll have more depth compared to the VF-27 Super set.

It's a group buy. Many of us live close to one another so we usually make 1 large order to save on shipping but I guess NY is on to us. They make money from shipping considering how little they mark up their Tamashii items so I must've been eating into their bottom line. Too bad they have no respect for rule of contract. I'm going back to HLJ for good.

Now I know why NY didn't ship my item. They wanted to fleece me for more money. They gave me an invoice, I fully paid for it and then they ask me for more shipping money because the "box was bigger than expected". Apparently the shipping amount in the invoice (that I paid for thus completing the contract) is only an estimate and this is the second time they pulled this stunt on me. I'm done with NY. The Grace VF-27 will be the last I get from those bloodsuckers. I should've just went with HLJ. Wanna know how much I paid for shipping? 18,200 yen and now they want another 13,400. HLJ charges maybe 1/3 that amount.

I think they decided to piss off 1 customer instead of 10. It makes more sense business and customer support wise. After all, it's not like that 1 customer with a larger order is gonna bug them 10 times.

I wouldn't trust HLJ this time. Don't say I didn't warn you. I think i've become the resident naysayer.

As long as you managed to get your pre-order in soon after it went up, you might still have a good chance of securing a unit. Those who got it 2-3 hours later on the other hand.... At least this time they enforced a 1 unit limit unlike the VF-25S fiasco.

Definitely the usual system issue. I noticed a lot of other order stop items slated for next month were up too.

I'm not saying it's a guarantee it's a mistake, but do temper your expectations. HLJ has burned many of us multiple times in the past.

That's never happened before and if they did make more, I'm sure the other retailers would've put them up for sale. It's been going up and down the past 1 1/2 hours so I'm assuming it's a mistake.

Tamashii website says this item will be released on the 25th of June. I'm guessing that means we'll be seeing the VF-19 ADVANCE within the next 2 weeks.

This item has been going up and down on HLJ. I'm guessing this one will be released very soon. Either next week or the week after, especially since the VF171 Maruyama is slated for a 25th release. Edit: Tamashii actually says it'll be out on the 20th next month.

Are they giving you an equivalent amount of points? Even HLJ offers credits instead of full refunds but it's usually optional and not compulsory. I don't see the problem unless you don't plan on shopping there anymore.

I was hoping they'd announce a pre-order date for the next toy in the line up by today. I guess not.

NY just sent me a preparation in progress email. It would be nice if they could ship it by today.

I have a feeling it'll be filled with the rest of the Hi-Metal R series.

Agave, what software are you using for the modelling and these renders?

It seems like his texturing/weathering skills are improving. I like the 2nd and 3rd rendering.

If you're buying multiple units, NY isn't the best place to shop. Other retailers offer cheaper shipping for multiple items.

I don't think larger orders get prioritised any more. They used to be before a particular release last year during which most people only got their items shipped almost a week after release. I can't remember which one it was but I remember receiving the notice days before most of the other members here because I made a rather large order, which pissed people off. I'm guessing they decided that it's better to upset few customers with large orders than many people with smaller orders. FYI, I ordered 10 koenig (it's a group buy, they're not all for me) and I only received the shipping notice AFTER I contacted their customer service rep and made a scene.
