They retract before every jump, since the beginning of the show. The toys do it, too. -

Funny, Starbuck's dad didn't look like Bob Dylan. The second movement he played (the one she accused him of ripping off from another composer) was a musical stinger they used in the original series when they'd cut to the Cylons. -
Right now a company (not Sandy Frank) owns the rights for Gatchaman outside of Japan and are planning on making a big movie out of it. That alone is justification for Tatsunoko to discourage foreign distribution of the game. I'm sure some of the other characters in the game are licensed by other entities.

Paint and some extra model parts. It looked very cool, but the end result wasn't that different from the original toy: http://www.hlj.com/product/KNMCC0319

Don't you think everyone in the movie industry asks themselves these questions every day?

The Chicago Tribune has been having some good follow-up articles with each episode's writers. Jane Espenson's speculation is that the baby died because Tigh fell back in love with Ellen: http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune.com/en...e-espenson.html I think the One True God smote Liam because Caprica Six snapped that infant's neck in the mini-series. He's a real dick that way. -
I don't know whether the acronym was applied before or afterwards (I think it was on some model/toy boxes), but I'm told "mospeed" is a Japanese slang word for racing through traffic. There are also some sketches of the bikes that identify them as "moto speeders." It wouldn't be a Japanese show without some double entendres.

Also, Adama's, "You listen to this, I have to go to the head, little project I've been working on..." hilarious. So can we assume that God killed the baby because he wanted all of the Cylons to be together? Liam's heart stopped the moment that Ellen agreed to leave Tigh and Caprica Six on Galactica. -

I also disagree with what was said earlier in the thread, Baltar truly has changed. He discovered the joy of giving to people just for the sake of giving, not to further his own aims. I loved the scene of him giving that speech with Head Six feeding him the words. He went from Jesus to Che in one word: "Guns!" -

Yeah, it seems that both versions of Ellen (the brainwashed one and the original version) were actually very similar. Capricious and manipulative. Man, the writers on this show really don't like babies. Was that Kat's ex-boyfriend among the Sons of Ares? And who was the actress who played Paula, she seemed really familiar. I don't want another Glen Larson Galactica, the first two series were enough. I prefer a de-Mormonized version. -

I could use some cough syrup right about now. -
Well, one of those things got made and one of those didn't. That should say something.

MOSPEADA doesn't make any mention of space travel outside of Mars and Jupiter. The ships aren't shown to have fold systems or anything like that. If they did, there would be no maps showing the slow route the ships took from the colonies to Earth. So how do you explain how some human-crewed ship ended up on the edge of a black hole, and how the heroes are able to rescue him? The more writing you try and slather on to explain it, the closer you are to doing a reverse Robotech.
-
There's too much stuff in Shadow Chronicles that wouldn't work in the context of MOSPEADA, like warping out of the the Solar System to save some character that has no history.

How is the show fun for you if you already know what's going to happen? -
They should be nice and shiny. When they're not out in the field they're in a nice cushy Inbit hive where they're probably being cleaned by worker drones' tongues.

Screw MIB, you're going to play with it anyway.

Not that funny. -
That guy on eBay didn't even show the AFA grading sticker. Nobody is buying that thing for $1,100. You can pay $5-20 for the Scouts, $15-30 for the Troopers. Anything more is a waste of money. The Scout is around 1/35 scale, too, to match the big Gakken Legioss. Unfortunately it's the wrong color, but that can be fixed (see avatar).
-
I never liked the proportions of any of the Inbit resin kits. Not toys or models, but Toynami put out two sets of Robotech bookends featuring the Enforcer (Gamo) and Scout (Eager). They look great, but they're solid chunks of rock.

Moore already did the Dirk Benedict as God gag in an April 1 podcast a few years ago, but some people took it as gospel (ha). -
To clarify, the document I found that had the "TLEAD" acronym in it was in Imai's files, but the content was most likely written by someone at Artmic. I prefer the romanization "Tread," reminds me of a tank, and the design is pretty much a flying tank.
