I think there were stickers of those mission patches that were distributed with Imai flyers. I know for sure that there were Southern Cross ones, in fact there's a set of them on Yahoo Japan right now.
-
No need to worry about that, either.

Some of the background material I have (handwritten notes, so I don't know what level of "canon-ness" you want to apply to it) also refers to the other colonies, but it doesn't mention that they're on other planets so I'm assuming they're free-floating or inside asteroids. Some of the notes indicate that the Legioss and other weapons were actually used in inter-colony wars before they banded together against the Inbit. I'll have to double-check my notes, but I'm pretty sure that all of the colonies were involved in both attack waves. I'm not a translator, and the material I have was translated with the help of friends that are out of the country right now. Hopefully someone else will step up to the plate and translate your scan. As far as my stuff goes, my goal is to have the sketches professionally published as part of an art book, so if things work out, you'll see it in print eventually.

Yes. No, they're a mix of additional MOSPEADA and Southern Cross unproduced art. No, sorry. No, sorry. All I can tell you is that the feet are unremarkable, very similar to the unarmored Legioss. There is a black and white version of that sketch sans copyright notice in the Super7 article. There is no sketch of the ground combat Legioss in fighter mode, but I get the impression that this is a battroid-only upgrade like the GBP suits for the Valkyries. It was around 2004, but I didn't bring them back to the US until 2005. I did an interview about the find here: http://www.terrania.us/liberty/ I'm not on the Super7 staff, but I write articles on a regular basis for them. The TLEAD is definitely mentioned in the article, along with another unproduced toy or two that you may or may not know about.

General Vintage Gakken Mospeada Question
Roger replied to emerson's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
"Henshin" means "change." There are so many box variations of the Legioss, I think if you count up all of the Gakken/Select and Matchbox versions, there are five in total? Six? I think the idea was just to get some English packaging out there for English-speaking markets. Some of the box variations say "Robotech," others don't. -
The pumped-up MOSPEADA that Exo posted is one of a few mecha designs that were created after the show started airing (see the date at the bottom). They were never animated or realized in toy or model form, but it seems the idea behind them was to help the manufacturers sell you the same kit/toy with a few new parts, like the Super Valkyrie. "Malibu Stacey with a new hat." I found eight of these late designs among the Imai stuff, four armor suits and four battroids, including the one Exo posted and this one: http://sdf5x.blogspot.com/2007/01/exclusiv...sign-image.html

Totoro, those are awesome, thanks for posting those! In the Imai material I brought back from Japan, I have at least one of those smaller pics at the bottom (the one showing the Legioss with "SATAN SQUADRON" and Devilman on the booster) in black and white. I also have the same map showing the attack but it's handwritten, and again, like most of the other sheets, black and white. The general jist is that it gives the details of the second drop operation, the one shown in the first episode. Obviously, the green ball is Earth, the red one is Mars, and the large arrows show how the three fleets jointed up - the Jupiter one (lower left) and the one from the other colonies (upper left) join up with the Mars fleet, and they're also joined by more ships from other colonies in earth orbit (upper right). They attack Earth, and then the surviving flagships (giggle) head back to Mars. Something weird in the sketch I have: it calls the Invid carriers "Shellpacks" instead of "Shelldoors."

It's happened before, though. Epoch imported the Toynami Super-Poseable Alphas into Japan and they were released at roughly the same time.

I'm sure you could, but you may not be able to fit it in the plastic tray afterwards. There's a "version 2" AG Scopedog coming with metal feet and other improvements, so you may want to wait. It's pricey, though. The Diving Beetle and Fatties are excellent, IMHO.

All of that footage looked recycled to me.

Yes. They did a few of these during the series to save money. CPM doesn't have the VOTOMS license any more, it expired last August.

There seems to be a different one at mininova. Has anyone downloaded both so we can know the differences?
-
Yes, definitely. CPM did a lot of work cleaning up the picture and enhancing the extra material included on the DVDs.

Keanu Reeves NEW movie. A Scanner Darkly.
Roger replied to UN Spacy's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
No, because he appears at New Path after Arctor checks in. -
I only had one of those Max Factory figures, the Tortoise, and it sucked. It was like a $50 MSIA. Incredibly floppy joints. I don't know if Max Factory has improved the quality since that initial release but they have done some neat things to let you use the accessories across all of the figures.

I would disagree with this and say that Takara and Bandai's production capabilities are pretty evenly matched. They just have different approaches. I love the Actic Gears, and I've been happier with them than the HCM Pros. This is mostly subjective, though. I don't mind unpainted toys, because I think ultimately, a toy should look like a toy.

Both. You don't have to use the clear parts if you don't want to.

The Takara 1/18th Scopedog is a nice toy, and you do get the Chirico with it, but I was let down by the paint detail and things that could have been hidden like the seam lines and screws. The Yamato 1/12 Scopedog _is_ the machine you see in the show. You can strip off the armor and see the mechanisms from the line art. You can take the whole damn thing apart and build it up again, as if you were scrounging it from a junkyard. The downsides are no paint (if something like that bothers you) and "Yamato First Version Syndrome" - the initial releases of the toy have weak ankles and shoulders that cause problems. Later versions of the toy fixed these issues and the thing is perfect now. If I had to choose, I'd choose the Yamato. If I had to choose one Yamato, I'd go for the Strong Bacchus. It's really damn sweet.

A very secretive special forces unit with a well-earned reputation for skill and savagery. Right before the first episode of the TV series, they've been disbanded, but there is an OAV prequel that covers Chirico's initiation into the Red Shoulders. The OAV was adapted into an American comic, which is also included on the DVDs as a PDF.

Manga Entertainment is part of Central Park Media, so it's possible you're seeing listings for the same thing. The item you want is ASIN #B000G2XU8G. The book contains a lot of additional information that wasn't in the RPG, such as information about side stories like Equal Ganeshis (probably misspelled). The RPG, incidentally, is included as a PDF on the bonus disc.

That's a shame you couldn't find one. The box set has some great extras like a guide book written by Tim Eldred.
