This, plus the fact that there have been no reported issues with the legs/hip (knocks on wood) have single handedly made me decide to buy a VF-0S. The awesome member pictures have helped too. * 2 -b.

Ha ha, right! Would be annoyed by that little bit considering that they made us pay up extra early, but at this point I'm over it. 'Over it' to the point that I have not ordered any other Bandai exclusives beyond what I already had an order for. Money talks. -b.

Just received an email from N-Y indicating that the SH Figuarts Hulkbuster will be released on 01/25/16 vs. the initial release date of 01/31/16. Suits me just fine since we had to pay for it extra early. -b.

^ That's awesome! Honestly I can't wait for the larger items from the HM-R line to be released like the Monster and Regult, the pictures with those + the VF-1's will be amazing. -b. -

Yeah, the Hi Metal's are very small, not sure what I was expecting but I was shocked when I took the Hikaru VF-1S out of the box. -b. -
Agree, Daisy, Adam, John were all really good in their respective roles. Oscar Isaac I thought didn't really have a chance to extend his chops outside of really once scene (in the spoiler below). And all in all, this movie had the best acting of all of the Star Wars films, OT and PT included. IMHO of course. -b.

The proportions look just like the YF-30, which make sense, since it's an evolution of the design. Honestly I really like the thin profile of the Frontier-era Valkyries and even prefer the thinner profile on Bandai's VF-29 Advance compared to the line-art. That said, it's the Fighter Mode that draws me to most Valkyries with Battroid being a very close 2nd. The VF-31 is certainly no exception to my preferred aesthetic. Really want some higher-res scans of that magazine too, or better yet a release date and price. lol -b.

Take. My. Money. Really love the Battroid and Fighter modes on this bird. I also 'wish' the wings folded in Battroid mode but it's not a deal breaker for me by any means. -b.

Waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too early in the new trilogy to make that call. -b. *edit for really bad grammar and because apparently I was posting while half-asleep -

Ha! Definitely could have used the money for other stuff, considering the holidays and all but I didn't want to deal with any account cancellation nonsense, especially since I'd already paid for that SH Figuarts Hulkbuster. Very true, and I am excited for the enemy mecha. If those turn out well then maybe that will make me more enthused for the VF-1's. -b.

Cannot wait to see more pictures from Bandai, followed very closely by release and pricing information. Already anticipating pre-order madness night once pre-orders open. / / -b.

Well, waited until the very last moment to pay N-Y for my Focker VF-1S. There is a huge part of me that wishes I hadn't ordered it to begin with, especially since this line hasn't grown on me. I will admit though that I don't dislike the Hi-Metals, I just don't like them all that much either. Just 'meh', IMO. -b.

Loved it. Easily my favorite Star Wars film. Can't wait to see this another 2 or 3 times in the theater. -b. Just a one sentence thought about the movie, but please don't click the spoiler if you haven't seen the movie or care at all about being spoiled.

Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)
Kanedas Bike replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Enterprise A for sure. They've progressively destroyed, or rather upped the amount of damage the new Enterprise sustained in each movie anyway. Someone here commented about how in Into Darkness the Enterprise took more hits in 30 seconds than it did the entirety of the original TV run. -b. *edit to clarify remarks about the Enterprise getting wrecked in each of the reboot films- 466 replies

Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)
Kanedas Bike replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
The movie will be fine. Will it appease Star Trek traditionalists? Nope. Will it win over hardcore Star Wars fans? Nope. But it will be at the very least an enjoyable action science fiction film, and if that's what Star Trek films have been relegated to, well then so be it. Maybe the upcoming series will be more of what folks are looking for out of Trek. -b.- 466 replies

Star Trek Beyond (the not The Search for Spock)
Kanedas Bike replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
This. The trailer just looked like a Star Trek original series TV episode, made for the big screen for this iteration of Star Trek. And as child that grew up watching TOS I don't necessarily see that as a bad thing. A bad trailer does not a bad movie make, anymore than a really good trailer make or equate to a good movie. -b.- 466 replies

So, got my Hikaru VF-1S's in a couple of days ago. Haven't devoted a lot of time with playing with the one that I opened but my overall impression is that it's a nice toy, for the niche that it fills. No need to add pictures since there are a ton already up, and hands-down better than any I could take myself. My other immediate impression was that I wish Bandai would make one in DX Chogokin scale (1/60'ish). The Hi-Metal line is too small for my personal preference and all I could think was I wish it was larger. Not because I wanted more/better/fancier gimmicks but because it would be more fun to play with. It reminded me of a really expensive, really cool, Christmas Tree ornament of a VF-1S - not a statement on quality or anything like that, just a comment on how 'small' it felt when I handled it. This then led me to think it was a bit over-priced, but so is most Macross merchandise so not really a big deal. It's a cool line and nicer than I expected, I won't collect them all, only what catches my eye. I'll also add that I would be 1000 times quicker to sell these on the open market than my other Valkyries - from any Macross series and by any company. -b. *edit for spelling
