    The Yamato/Arcadia VF-4G hands down, has the prettiest, most elegant Fighter mode of any transformable toy Valkyrie from any Macross series and toy maker. I really hope that the Arcadia release matches or exceeds the build quality of the Yamato release (as it relates to the looseness of the missiles) . -b.

    That's essentially what I did. I like Yamato's DYRL VF-1's so much better than Arcadia's. I can't comment on whether or not Arcadia had better build quality, although I wouldn't be surprised if they had tighter joints. I only opened them to take pictures in order to sell them, and IIRC to check the color re: the whole pink hue controversy. -b.

    It sucks because there has never been any continuity in Predator with regards to characters returning or actors reprising their roles. Maybe they can get Arnie to make an appearance in this new one. I really didn't like Predator 2, not when it first came out, and not even after the AvP films. Predator 2 always felt...gratuitous...with everything it did. The only part I enjoyed was the appearance of the Alien skull at the end, and we all know how the promise of crossover films turned out. Alien, Aliens & Predator (and I guess) Predators for the win. -b.

    Oh! Pre-orders open for Episode IV Luke tonight? Happy circumstance that I took the day off from work tomorrow then, I'll stay up late playing Street Fighter V on PS4 while hitting F5 on the computer. With some tenacity, bordering on obsession + luck I've been able to secure multiple copies of just about every SH figure I've wanted with the exception of TFA Stormtrooper. -b.

    Or they will see that there are passionate fans of the franchise, that are aching for a quality release and that they (Bandai and/or Arcadia) will be inspired to create one and apparently easily surpass in form and function what Evolution produced. Just trying to "bright-side" for those that want Macross II high-end toys. -b.

    Yep, makes perfect sense. Hopefully Bandai continues to up their production runs with the 31, it seemed like it was easier initially to get orders from the Frontier VF-25 group, but if you missed a variant then it was a pain to collect afterwards because the prices shot up so quickly. For me it'll be alternating emotions of "hurry up and come out" because I want more toys vs. "please be delayed" because I'm making sure I can make it work within my budget. -b.

    Interesting, I tend to go back and forth on Predators whether I like it or not. I don't think it was as bad as some people say but it I still think Predator was the only undeniably "good" Predator movie. As long as this remains a passion project for Shane Black then I'm optimistic. If it was just some 'dude' that directed some other 'stuff' then my expectations would be very low. -b.

    Nice! Even though I don't like the 31A in Fighter mode as much as the other 31 variants I'll definitely buy one or two if it's in that color scheme. -b.

    Well, I can say that easily. And impartially so because I'm not a fan of Mac II or the different Valkyries seen. I will say that they look cool in the anime, but I'm not vested in if toys get made or not. And people will, whether we like it or not (and often I don't), draw comparisons all the time. We see it with the other players in the Macross arena. But you have to know or understand that when an item commands a "premium" price then the expectation will be that the product be a "premium" item. Company A and B get beat to hell all the time when that expectation isn't met. Really not trying to rain on the parade, I truly hope that fans get a good release, and even more so, updated releases for Mac II but what I've seen so far leaves me scratching my head and asking "really?". -b.

    Not a huge fan of the Sv-262, but I really do like how the Fast Packs look on Fighter. I reserve the right to be a "hater" once Battroid and Gerwalk are revealed. -b.

    HUGE fan of this line. I have the Bleeding Edge, Extremis and War Machine releases with an eye on picking up the Iron Patriot armor at some point.
