LOL - well as long as we keep a sense of humor about it. -b.

Would be nice, maybe - it could very well depend on how their re-release of the YF-19 does. Anyway - good luck! -b.

Trying to give an objective answer (in case I ever decide to sell mine); Original MRSP before any discounts was $ 323.16/36,800 JPY (per HLJ). Factoring in shipping from Japan to the US it's not that much more. But if you're asking our opinion on if we'd spend that much, I probably would not and roll the dice to see a cheaper one pops up here or at the usual Japanese sites that sell after-market. All depends on how much of a budget-buster it is and how much you really want one at this moment. -b.

Your answer lay within - "Sex sells" -b.

IIRC, the connection for the wings was much more secure. But it's been years since I handled a v1 DX. Well in this regard we have vastly different definitions of "just fine". Speaking only for Fighter mode where the gunpod falls off if you look at it and the wing connection is so bad you have to try and secure it by adding plastic to shore-up the fit (there were pages of discussion in the related thread). Anyway - still digging those custom paint schemes! This is one Valkyrie where I will happily skip a CF release. -b.

Sorry for the off-topic, but Bandai just dropped the ball on the Renewal DX Tornado Packs. If I remember they were executed much better on the v1 DX Chogokin. I love the Tornado packs (Fighter mode) from a Valkyrie design perspective, but I hate how they turned out on the Renewal. That said, I'd agree that any extra weight to the wings, depending on the toy's design, could add stress-line inducing pressure on the associated joints. -b.

No one here knows, it's all speculation, hopes and dreams at this point. -b.

QFT The 262 is growing on me, mostly because of the custom paint schemes. -b.

-b. *I don't even look at my 171's anymore, they've been in Battroid mode for about 2 years, standing there in the same static pose.

That was my first impression as well - Prophecy. The head does look good on the 03 l, now I'm just waiting on someone to declare it their favorite so David can update the list. Not me, but someone. -b.

Captain America: Civil War, on Bluray Sept 13, 2016
Kanedas Bike replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
They are certainly central to the plot (it is a Captain America movie) - but based on the cast of characters I enjoy saying "Avengers 2.5", especially since the other characters are much more than cameos. -b.- 445 replies

Quoted for truth - the VF-1D is one Valkyrie (among a select few) that I've never had a chance to own. -b.

One last 'comment' on my own personal experience when I've ordered multiple copies of items with 1 per limit; 1) I have only 1 account with HLJ, it's been the same account I've had with them since 1999/2000. 2) I have never ordered 2 or more of the same item at the exact same time - usually I'd have secured a pre-order and then if, and only if, the item gets restocked at a later date, after release, I've ordered additional. The most of any (1) toy I've purchased with a limit is the Bandai DX VF-19, 3 of them I've purchased through HLJ - all at separate times and after it was restocked - no issues. 3) I have had multiple of the same item, in my Private Warehouse at once And I've never had any issues, warnings, suspensions or the like. This is not me advocating anyone do anything against HLJ's rules, or that goes against your own common sense or instinct and I certainly didn't try to 'game' their rules. Even AmiAmi when there is a quantity limit will allow customer's to order the same item after it's been re-released. The DX VF25F comes to mind, and yup I ordered one of those then too. Anyway, looking forward to getting my Regult at some point in the future. And I still wish that Bandai would decide to up-size their VF-1 to a 1/55 renewal with the same type of detail and articulation of the HMR. -b.
-
Yikes! Well, I'm only certain from my own experience - which is much different from Tking's. I guess since there is some inconsistency with how HLJ handles multiple purchases of the same toy, that has, had or may have a quantity limit, to anyone wondering, place the order at your own risk. I can only say that I've personally never had any issues, thankfully. -b.
-
Short answer, and I know for a fact - yes you can. -b.

So I've never taken Star Wars for much more than what's been on screen, a science fiction epic. The one exception being the prequels as essentially an intergalactic Greek tragedy (in more ways than one if you want to be cheeky about the writing, acting and direction of the films). Young boy with destiny Meets girl with destiny Boy falls in love with girl Boy cannot be with girl because of duty, etc. Boy and girl defy duty, wisdom, etc - fall in love, have child/ren Boy fulfills destiny and in doing so kills girl and believes his child, who survives, has died as well Boy becomes the, or one of the, greatest villains the galaxy has ever seen I've heard/seen/read that Lucas took heavy influence from other works of fiction from Westerns to Samurai films, but never have I read about an inspiration being Arthurian Legend. That doesn't mean it's not out there, I'm simply saying I've never seen it (but I've never looked and I'm not a SW die-hard) and in that regards the post above read as the musings of people who really love Star Wars and are looking for, or have attributed greater meaning to the story. That is not at all intended to be a slight, it's pretty interesting stuff - even more so if filmmakers are using (good) mythology as inspiration. -b.

Alright. I might be interested in a no-dialog version but the visuals (the vibrant colors in a post-apocalyptic world) are so much a part of what made Fury Road different and memorable. Off-topic - I enjoyed TFA and didn't expect it to, nor do I care that it didn't win an Oscar. An Oscar win holds no merit on whether or not I like a movie. -b.

^If you weren't such a huge Star Wars fan and aficionado I'd brand this as high (get it?) fan fiction and move along. Regardless, I appreciate the thought behind that theory/explanation/musing - it's interesting. -b.

Was up last night around 2AM EST and was able to secure a pre-order for the Monster at HLJ. It was up and available at AmiAmi and Hobby Search at the time but I specifically went with HLJ in case I decide to cancel it later. -b.
