  1. Well, if you love Arcadia prices of their new 1/60 (VF-0, YF-19) molds, and really love prices of re-issue 1/60 VF-1's then you're gonna love prices for a re-designed from the ground up 1/48. I'd rather Arcadia devote some actual resources to VF-1's not piloted exclusively by Roy or Hikaru. -b.
  2. Circle vs. Oval! The next great debate. Personally I like that the 31E's radome folds away, more options for display. -b.
  3. ^Well respect to you for taking this on as a project, I would say try not to get too discouraged but I'm not putting in the effort you are. Hopefully a Member with similar experience can share some feedback that will help. -b.

Well don't look over in the What's Next for Arcadia thread. Seriously, I'm really curious to see what Bandai can or will do with a newly designed DX scaled VF-1 (1/55!!!). -b.
  5. Good for you Arcadia. Now I won't be tempted to open the last VF-1S I purchased. -b.
  6. 04? Waiting for a certain David to pop in to see pictures of his boo . And after all of this speculation, the appearance of the landing gears sure is...anti-climatic. -b.
  7. Good luck to both of you! -b.
  8. Anti-Tempter here. Don't, I almost bit on the 50% Hobby Search and even the N-Y price was tempting, but only on the premise of getting a premium (Yamato/Arcadia, Bandai DX Chogokin) Valkyrie at close to $ 100 retail. And it's debatable on whether or not this iteration of Evolution Toy's VF-2 fits the bill. I also remembered my impressions of this toy, and what others have objectively stated and decided I'd rather not. / -b.
  9. Have been watching TFA all weekend and speaking of crawl, I hope that all of the Star Wars side-stories have either their own unique opening or something that only the side-stories have. I like the idea of the primary Star Wars Episodes having the crawl and the other films differentiating themselves in that way. -b.
  10. Probably why she posts all of those workout videos on Instagram. Daisy is in fantastic shape. But if she carries him around like Yoda in the movie it will take all of my strength to keep from rolling my eyes right out of my head. -b.
  11. Well no matter one's preference, it's pretty safe to say that what's NOT next for Arcadia is a HiM-R VF-1. -b.
  12. Meh, never watched The Hunger Games and the "comparisons" that have been posted here are loose at best. And now we care because the trailer focused on either (1) a female lead or (2) focused on a female member of the cast? I hope we see the same anti-this-that-or-the-other opinions when a bunch of movies get released staring dudes - because you know, Hollywood never panders to men. Relevant to actual news, the trailer looks awesome. I'm very happy to see a live-action Star Wars movie that focuses more on a "grounded" Force-less aspect of Star Wars, by way of the guerilla tactics of the Rebellion vs the military of the Empire. And hopefully even provide more in the way on the social climate of the galaxy at the height of the Empire's power. -b.
  13. LOL - no. If anything they just won't deal with high-end Macross collectibles. Regarding licensing talk, speculation, rumors - can we please not do that again. What continues to puzzle me is that they have interest, desire and know-how to produce some really nice Macross items in 1/60 but there is an almost stubborn desire to produce obscure items, that could arguably considered fringe. And fringe items from a fringe property just seem like odd business decisions. And what do I consider fringe? VF-19 Kai, Macross Zero (any of them, even the fan desired 0D) and especially the Reactive Armor, which I know people on the boards love but I wouldn't buy, even on discount - because it's not aesthetically pleasing to me. At this point I'm just going to try to become an interested observer of Arcadia vs. someone that has an active desire to make the toys that I want or that I think they should make. -b.
  14. ^Nice! You're going to love that VF-4G. -b.
  15. Assuming Arcadia doesn't keep releasing eventual bargain bin items that is. Seriously, how hard is it milk the VF-1 molds or revisit them? Give the people what they want... *sorry, Flu has me unusually glass-half-full right now -b.
  16. Even if that's sarcasm (which I partially share BTW) the Bandai VF-19 Advance has really filled my want for a YF-19. Sorry Arcadia - you can't have my money on this one (barring a ridiculous sale some time down the line, which would be bad and a repeat of the last days of Yamato ). -b.
  17. Well that didn't take long. 1/2 off at Hobby Search right now. -b.
  18. For real though. Also quoted for truth. Bah, I hated the season finale. -b.
  19. That's legitimately disappointing (on the part of DC), but somehow not at all surprising. The trailer had just the right amount of dark, and humor and IMO it didn't feel like a copy or derivative of Marvel films. And honestly one would expect more "dark" than not, in a movie staring villains (not anti-heroes) in a group called Suicide Squad. But hey, two dark Superman movies and one funny Suicide Squad movie. -b.
