  1. Yes, exactly the same as getting older - or becoming more "mature". It's funny you bring up G.I. Joe and Star Wars toys. For me I don't look at them the same now that I'm older. I like to think it's because that now that I'm older I have a more refined taste or aesthetic so I look at S.H. Figuarts vs. Hasbro or Arcadia/Yamato/Bandai - Macross vs. Toynami or old Matchbox - Robotech. I like the OT Star Wars movies, but it's not the same as I was when I was a kid. I can't even watch old G.I. Joe or most other cartoons from my childhood without cringing. The Force Awakens fixes this issue for me, it includes enough of the OT elements so there is familiarity but it updates them so that it appeals to the adult me. I just fully acknowledge that for many, that familiarity could be viewed as far too derivative of the OT. This is definitely a "wart" for the film and something that I personally dislike out of an overall very positive view of the movie. -b.
  2. If they keep Daisy Skye Chloe Bennett then they could capitalize on the AoS fans and keep the in-universe continuity that Marvel has been amazing at keeping intact. -b.
  3. Very fair. I wouldn't even argue or debate with others re: why they like or dislike Episode VII or about some of the really obvious borrowing from the the Original Trilogy. In my case I lost my nostalgia vision for the OT a long time ago and the PT was only good in various scenes here and there but taken as a whole they were horrible. The Force Awakens made me actually care about Star Wars as a property - like I did as a young kid when watching IV through VII. -b.
  4. Well, I agree that The Force Awakens has a lot of callbacks to the original trilogy, but IMHO I think it does a few of them better. It's my favorite SW movie so far with A New Hope and Empire Strikes Back a close 2nd and 3rd. -b.
  5. Honestly I'm not, the only time you even hear about Inhumans is in Agents of Shield, and in that the story seems kind of a mess. Shield Hydra Inhumans Secret Warriors Plus Marvel has done zero lead up to an Inhuman release, if the movie does get made, cool, more Marvel, but if not I don't think many people would really care. The biggest problem is having the concept released in AoS and then saying the two won't be connected. IMO -b.
  6. Don't forget the Hikaru DYRL VF-1S that came out with the first Roy DYRL VF-1S. -b.
  7. ^Oh man, I might have to buy that Ripley. The power loader does look amazing, but $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. I'd also love a renewal of Hicks just so I can have one. -b.
  8. Well...I kind of want that to be true, just to see the collective Star Wars fanbase lose their minds. For some reason I was thinking that Anyway, it'll probably be something way more straightforward. No need for the panic button yet. And I loved Episode VII -b.
  9. Dollars to donuts they'll go on markdown well before then. At a certain point stores will move to clear inventory. -b.
  10. From start to finish I resemble this comment. -b.
  11. SWS on my YF-30. You can or would barely notice, I think that's why most people in the Alto 29 thread that posted about the 30 were so surprised. Anyway, no biggie - just one of those things. -b.
  12. That's hilariously awesome. I'm gonna check my 30 when I get home, never really paid attention. -b.
  13. My sentiment ex-act-ly. Especially since I bought multiples the first time around (when I had more disposable income) - but once I sold all but one I just didn't/don't have a burning need for another. -b.
  14. As far as I know there is no way to get the option parts separately, not sure if anyone tried via Shapeways, but I've not looked. I don't recall anyone ever trying to sell the Yamato or Arcadia option parts on their own, but you could always try the Yahoo Japan auction site. Good luck! -b.
  15. Right! Based on how active these threads are I'd say more people are excited for the 262 than the 31. *not me, I love the 31 and would love to see some new/different/pics of an updated prototype or test copy -b.
  16. No prob - based on how many people have commented I'm not sure if a lot of members, or frequent posters, double-dipped on this one. This thread has been relatively quiet with regards to this release. Maybe if or when it goes on sale we'll see more people buy it. -b.
  17. You do! At one point I had (6) of them, I'm down to (3) opened and displayed and (1) sealed. -b.
  18. One hand I agree that at this price, perceived value goes up if more accessories, like a stand are included. But seeing how things are it's more likely that the price would have been more if a stand or anything else were included. I'm okay with the price, not thrilled, but not bothered - very middle of the road, or almost ambivalent really. -b.
  19. I swear I read this last line I heard Robot's voice saying "Danger Will Robinson". And the fans are right to complain - I mean I watched the show in syndication as a kid and I couldn't give a crap either. lol Re: Trek, as long as Kirk continues to kick ass and get alien chicks, I'm good. Science-smience. -b.
  20. That seems too early, Hobby Search has the release set for August. As well as Bandai (credit to David on page 59); http://tamashii.jp/s...etalbuild/exia/ http://tamashii.jp/item/10204/ -b.
  21. A couple of people have left feedback on the re-release on this and the previous page. -b.
