Not much related to the 31, just wanted to say nice Avatar. Comments related to the 31, I'm excited to see the new Armor parts. Because Armor makes just about every Valkyrie better. -b.

Thanks Noel! Really like the SH Figuarts SW figures, I gave some real consideration to selling most/all of these and my Marvel figures, but I'm definitely keeping the SW figures. And I'd REALLY love some Phase II Clone Troopers from Clone Wars, like Rex and Fives. -b.

Agreed and agreed. I've been hoping for a 1/55 refresh ever since I handled my first HiMR. Still hoping for a relatively 'small' scale, in the area of 1/55 or 1/60. Anything bigger will make this cost and size prohibitive for me to collect. -b.

Very much agreed. Also agreed, between this and the YF-19 I'm feeling a bit re-energized about Macross collecting. The Arcadia Premium releases are cool, but between their high price and the feeling that their standard releases should be 'Premium', if Bandai brings their A game then they'll get all my money. -b.

w00000000000000000tttttttttttttttttttttttttttttttt Excited for both, I know folks love the Hi Metal R line but for me they're too small. If Bandai is really going to do a DX Chogokin VF-1 line then I am all in (I reserve the right to change my opinion if they're $$$$$$). And more VF/YF-19's are always welcome. -b.

LOL - you asked. In actual movie news, with the release of the poster I'm hoping that a trailer will be shown with The Last Jedi. -b. -

Hollywood star-power. Even without being in much these days (or much that's on my radar) she's still a bigger star than the other Guardians. The other covers have a combination of that, and character popularity. -b. -
& Was thinking about both of those points myself, and just decided that the answer was "meh, it's DC". I will give credit to the Amazonians about how fierce, brave and selfless they were/are. -b.

This flat out sucks, even for non-users of the site. Honestly I'm not sure why there weren't more people that used FIS, it was free, wasn't invitation-only or anything like that and was very easy to use. Hopefully someone else puts up a similar service. MW members should also realize that a lot of the 'heads-up' posts for hard to find items were put up by other members that got notifications from Fig-In-Stock. Oh well. Back to guessing when an item is available, wonky browser plug-ins and F5'ing the night and day away. -b.

Can now say that after seeing both, Thor wins in a landslide. But that's not to say I didn't have fun in Justice League, I absolutely did. And that's not something that I can easily say for the ending of Man of Steel and most of Batman v Superman. Wonder Woman was awesome from start to finish, so... I'll see this again, but not in the movies. I won't mind owning it on Blu ray or whatever. The score was kind of all over the place, with cues back to some legacy/iconic scores from DC movies past. There were a few scenes of real chemistry between a few characters, Bruce and Diana, Bruce and Alfred, Diana with just about everyone. I feel that Flash as a character was done the most disservice. Not by the casting, I have no issue there, but by the way they implemented him as the comedy relief. Second to that I would say Aquaman's character didn't 'feel' right, but I'm not a huge fan of his and don't have a lot of context to compare to the comics or animated movies. Batman was damn near spot on, until the final fight scene and there was a shot of him with his mouth open in amazement. That moment pissed me off so bad it would have ruined the movie except for how well he'd been done throughout the rest of the film. Yep, waited for both end credit scenes. The very last one was HORRIBLE. It's just felt cheap (the set was fine, the cheap-ness was with one costume and the last line of dialogue) and stupid, and it should not have. Agreed that the movie felt very rushed, especially the beginning. But because DC didn't take the Marvel route and flesh things out across a series of movies a lot had to be crammed in. There were some scenes that felt very Whedon and even one where I'd swear that Whedon tried to emulate one of Synder's cinematographic staples (slow-mo shell casings). I think the filmmakers wanted this to be a 'fun' movie, and in that they succeeded, where they fell flat was with the story and some of the characterizations and/or singular character moments. 7.5/10 -b.

Apologies, because I don't yet qualify to answer based on your criteria. But I feel 10000000000% confident in recommending Thor: Ragnarok over Justice League. I'll happily eat my words in a few hours if after I see JL my opinion changes. -b.

Going to see it this afternoon, but while browsing the interwebs ran across this article. Literally broke out into tears laughing so hard; -b.

Yep, I'm here for this one as well. As long as the movie doesn't take itself seriously it should be a leave your brain at the door type of movie. And we need more of the self-awareness out of popcorn flicks. Too often they try to take themselves seriously which just calls out all of the ridiculous flaws. Immediately thought of King Kong and Congo (kudos to anyone who remembers that piece of cinematic history ). -b.
-
Really curious to see if there are any obvious moments that show Whedon's touch as compared to Synder's. I know that care was taken by Joss to finish Zack's movie and to hold true to the original vision, just interested to see if there will be any "oh, that was Whedon" moments. -b.
-
Exactly. The. Same. Well mostly, I probably still wouldn't buy it because I imagine the price will be more than what I'm willing to pay. Unless there is more readily available release driving down the cost. -b.

Meh. From the clips I've seen posted on YouTube I don't feel bad in the least for missing out on Discovery. Just bring out more movies set in the JJ-verse. Two of the three movies have actually been good, and if it weren't for some really stupid story choices Into Darkness wouldn't have been half-bad either (but it was, it was horrible). -b.

Well yeah, and other various part failures throughout the years. But the rule, rather than the exception is that Yamato and Arcadia now makes improvements to their collectibles. Not all, but certainly more than the average company. -b.
-
Whoops! Well fair enough, glad that Arcadia recognized the issue and has worked/is working to correct. Agreed! Fair, but like Yamato before, Arcadia seems to have a tendency to try and improve items, even within the same release cycles. Like the current wave of VF-1 releases. I'd have way more problems with buying items from them if Arcadia knew of issues and did nothing to correct them, or if they outright ignored buyer feedback. -b.

No, no sir. Not everyone. Just the fairly vocal minority. -b.

100% chance that the post made about mold degradation was pure sarcasm made because some of the earlier 'panic' posts. It's funny, just cancel your orders if the delays are really that big of a deal and ESPECIALLY if you think the company and the quality of their products is sub-par. Vote with your wallets. I skip both Arcadia and Bandai releases, while buying other items each company releases. No big deal. -b.
