Hard to imagine that Arcadia won't milk the mold - but it's 50/50 on whether they will or not. My hope is that they will since there are a lot of schemes that fans have been asking for and it'd be a good way for Arcadia to keep sales going (provided they shore up some of the issues outlined in this thread). Good luck with getting your 2nd copy. -b.

Those look like/probably are the DX v1 bundled Fast Pack set for Alto's VF-25. I'd be good with just (1) YF-30, I don't like the design that much to care about multiples - well at least not at $ 200 ea. -b.

So...uh...to interrupt the currently scheduled return policy updates, I got my last copy from Hobby Search and all appears well. I think the plastic feels fine and so far my only real complaint (if you can call it that) is about the Fast Packs. I guess I'll try to transform the one I've opened to Battroid, but for now Fighter mode only. Glad to see that most others have had "good" to "ok" experiences - would like to see Arcadia succeed with their releases because I like Macross toys (big kid) so my wish is that this thing holds up over time. -b.

Was awesome, easily my 2nd favorite Marvel film just, and I mean just, behind Avengers. Something I didn't think possible because Iron Man is the character I love (got me into comics as a kid) and Captain was historically too goody-goody for me. Will avoid posting until after the weekend so that folks can get a chance to check it out at the theater. -b.

In the featurette video it was explained and shown that it's Kitty that transports Wolverine's consciousness. -b.- 329 replies

Those two comparisons are a bit of a stretch (demonic possession and an alien-hybrid), but sure... If anything this falls into Hollywood's current theme of the limits of human evolution (see Transcendence) but with an obvious "action" slant. -b.

Dude - it's not even worth trying to explain your point. -b.

Got it, I was talking about how this thread has evolved over the last few pages. Broken parts, loose parts, glued parts, people trying to help, people not trying to help, etc. Just seems like the normal initial excitement over a big release died out or is being drowned out and the love is long gone. -b.

Sure does feel like the honeymoon for this one ended quickly. -b.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
Kanedas Bike replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
See...that's why I need to get out now. Collecting Hot Toys (or 6th scale) are about as addictive as collecting Macross. And on average more expensive. And I was only down to collecting only Iron Man from the Military of Star Wars Captain Rex - I had Mark VI and the original War Machine from IM2 but sold them both last year and Rex before that. Now I only have Mark VII and Midas in their respective boxes, I never even opened them (just the brown shipper). Just too much cool sh!t and money and space are at a high premium for me these days. -b. -
Yeah, the white on the bottom of the YF-29 Ozma was the first thing I noticed before even looking at the 30. Pics, pics and pics are cool for Bandai to put out but I'm curious about price and release date. -b.
-
Yeah, that was my experience as well. I got them attached and secured in a way that everything was secure (as the parts could be) and symmetrical but I was so irritated by trying that I boxed the Fast Packs up and I'll just leave Fighter Mode bare. -b.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
Kanedas Bike replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
At first I thought it was perspective but that Man of Steel Superman looks like his head is too big for his body. Probably going to move away from collecting Hot Toys for awhile, have to get up the nerve to list my Iron Man Mark VII and Midas on eBay sometime within the next week. Not sure what I will do with existing pre-orders at Sideshow but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. Cool figures but they're so expensive and with all the Macross stuff coming out it's time to trim the fat so to speak. -b. -
Lucy http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=MVt32qoyhi0 Looks amazing, hopefully it'll be as good as The Fifth Element and Leon: the Professional. I'll certainly be there on opening day with bells on. -b.*edit for grammar to and to say I mess up the Tags (d'oh)

LOL Still trying to wrap my head around Kitty Pryde being able to send someone's consciousness back in time in conjunction with being able to phase through solid objects. But whatever... -b.- 329 replies

Taking a look at the wings, my best guess is that this is an assembly issue vs. bad plastic or something like that - I've even been exerting pressure on both wings of the (1) I opened and both wings feel solid. The wing is assembled top and bottom and most likely during that process, either automatic or by-hand something was forced in a way to cause those pieces to break apart like that. If each unit has to pass a QC inspection before being shipped then yeah those should have been caught but if QC is only X number of YF-19's then it's possible to have broken/defective units shipped. Good luck to anyone impacted - my sincere and humble suggestion would be to let cooler heads prevail when approaching the retailer or manufacturer but I'm also not in your shoes. -b.

^ Very nice, I'd buy one. -b.

For those asking about comparisons to the Arcadia YF-19 and Yamato YF-19 take a look at these shots; http://www.toysdaily.com/discuz/thread-222403-1-1.html Having owned both (sold my bundled Yamato YF-19 a very long time ago) Arcadia's version simply blows the previous release from Yamato away (in form/function and aesthetically). Sorry man, hopefully AmiAmi will help make this right for you. -b.

The Easter Egg when they x-ray view of Deathlok was pure awesome (showing how he looks in comics). Really happy that the show has seem to hit it's stride (classic Whedon). -b.

Edge of Tomorrow, on DVD/Blu-ray Oct. 7, 2014
Kanedas Bike replied to areaseven's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Looking forward to this, I like Cruise in movies, plus I enjoy seeing Emily Blunt. Of all the examples you posted of Japanese designed Mech/Power Armor the only one that speaks to me aesthetically is the Ride Armor from Mospeada. So...yeah... PS - Power Loader from Aliens is a classic and should be worshiped. -b.- 180 replies
