  1. Wholeheartedly agree, but then again to me the VF-4G feels light years ahead of just about any other Yamato, Arcadia or Bandai release. And while I certainly like my Arcadia YF-19 if I had to choose one, it'd be the VF-4 with no hesitation (even if I like YF-19 Battroid much, much better between the two). -b.
  2. For reals - Megan Fox was awesome in This is 40; DESI (Megan Fox) Yes, you're right. Look. I... am an escort. I get paid to go out on dates.Debbie looks shocked. DESI (CONT'D) But only three to five times a year. Ten times max. But it's not technically "prostitution" because I don't have to sleep with them. DEBBIE Well, that's good. DESI But I always do. That's why I only do it four to eight times a year, fifteen times max. That said, this movie still looks like it will be awful. -b.
  3. LOL - ouch. I didn't think it was all that bad, but it wasn't compelling TV (Sci-Fi or other) either. I honestly thought it'd last 2 seasons but given Fox's track record I'm not at all surprised. -b.
  4. Very cool, I can certainly see the difference. Ha! I remember having Technics stereo equipment (including a record player) in the house when I was a kid. -b.
  5. Up until now I've been firmly in the "no, Macross collecting is not out of reach" but the question is so subjective from person to person and even then situation to situation. I'll be starting a new career shortly and my new income is certainly in question, I say this because as of right now my answer is still "no" but in some point in the near future my answer could be "yes", for no other reason than my own personal financial circumstance. Put shorter, one collector says no, another says yes - all based on what they can afford and are willing to spend. -b.
  6. @renegadeleader1 - Regarding the appearance of this movie's Godzilla and some of the older/classic films, I think that the new movie does a good job in trying to pay homage while modernizing and cgi'ing his look. I say this having looked only at the pictures posted in this thread and my very, very, very long ago memory when I'd see Godzilla films on Saturday afternoon. He might be a too fat kitty-cat with tiny feet, I still think new Godzilla looks neat. -b.
  7. ^^Ah, makes perfect sense. Thank you both! -b.
  8. As usual very nice pics. The Super Parts look so blue (is it my monitor?). Earlier pics showed them in a closer, or same, shade as the Super Parts for the 25F, S, G and RVF, so now I'm curious as to which color is true(er) to life. NY shipped mine with the second batch as well, after these pics I'm kinda stoked to get them. -b.
  9. So...looking at the higher resolution pictures on Hobby Search, if I get one it's definitely staying in Fighter Mode. The side profile of Battroid is way too busy, not to mention it looks like trying to get that thing to balance and/or finding room in a Detolf shelf will be a b!tch. *edit, in Fighter I can display on a Flex or Bandai stand on a desk or other flat surface like my TV stand and not have to move stuff that's already out -b.
  10. There have been times that items are listed or updated during the daytime hours here (I'm EST). But for sure their main updates happen JST. I'm proud of myself for not playing the pre-order game this time around, if I catch this I catch it, if not, well then more money in my pocket or for other stuff. -b.
  11. Yeah, I don't think it was some huge, large in scale scheme-hatchery. It allowed one studio to get their desired Director (which we all know can sometimes make or break a movie) and another a promotional opportunity. At any rate, I'm in no huge rush to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 but I do plan to check it out while it's in theaters (vs. The Amazing Spider-Man where I waited for home release). -b.
  12. So...I just checked out the 3rd party Transformers thread to see Citizen Stack and while I agree that the thinner front profile in robot mode is a little more appealing compared to the slightly thicker MP-22 prototype everything else on Citizen looks a little off (hard to put my finger on why) . Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you like your purchase and I can really see the appeal but from what I've seen I'll gladly stick with the Takara Masterpiece version. -b.
  13. Never saw the original trilogy, but I enjoyed David Fincher's remake. His filmography is up and down for me, but for the most part I like his work - The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo being no exception. If you get the chance to watch it then check it out. -b.
  14. Looked over the released cast picture that Duke posted above and I think that the seating arrangement is very telling with regards to who will play what. Time will tell but I really think there is a movie/plot/story reason certain actors are seated next to one-another. Spoiler for two of my guesses; -b.
  15. Yep! Especially these two points; -b.
  16. Well that just begs for... And if anything I'm optimistic that there is new creative energy behind the new films. -b. *please note that I don't disagree w what you said, it's just that I HAD to find that pick after your post : )
  17. Yeah, was a nice twist but I still feel like there's a lot more to that particular story. -b.
  18. Just watched...there must be something wrong with me in that the first thing that comes to mind is Skye and Coulson's hair. Some really, really, really good character moments between the team, I thoroughly enjoyed the character development. And Coulson's last word in the episode - classic. -b.
