Oh wow, my best friend used to play Master Blaster ALL THE TIME when we were kids. I know that he beat it a couple of times, I was never able to. This thread brings back a lot of good 8 bit memories. -b.

Man...that split down the middle of the skull really is distracting. Starting to very much agree with IXTL and David H. about how it may have been better printed on the shield (that would have made Battroid that more bad-ass and eliminated the halfie skull emblem. Grumble, grumble, grumble. -b.

Yeah, Chronocidal really touched on it, the Super Parts for Ozma's 25S were never popular, even with the v1 DX. It's always been about Ozma and the Armor Parts for the 25S. I know that at least one member re-painted Armor Parts to match the 25A and it looked pretty good. -b.

Snowpiercer Set in a frozen future where humans are nearly extinct, the film follows the last few remaining survivors, who are now living on a globe-spanning super train, and divided into two fractions: the privileged and the deprived. But when it becomes too much to bear, Chris Evans finds himself leading a violent revolution against the ruling class, in which victory is solely determined by the ownership of the train's engine. Based on a French graphic novel, "Snowpiercer" was directed by acclaimed South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho (The Host), who co-adapted the script with screenwriter Kelly Masterson (Before the Devil Knows You're Dead ). The film also stars Tilda Swinton, John Hurt, Jamie Bell, Ewen Bremner, Octavia Spencer, Ed Harris and veteran Korean star Song Kang-ho. A failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet. The final survivors board the SNOWPIERCER, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine. When cryptic messages incite the passengers to revolt, the train thrusts full-throttle towards disaster. Snowpiercer stars Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton, Song Kang-ho, Jamie Bell, Octavia Spencer, John Hurt, Ed Harris, Ewen Bremner, Alison Pill Release: June 27th, 2014 *the above taken from ENI Red Band Trailer http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=bTExC9tYG-w Considering the cast this looks like a good lazy-afternoon watch. -b.

Cool, let us know. If the Gunpod has a metallic look then that would be a huge plus. -b.
-
...and oh yeah, the Gunpod should have been metallic like the 25S/A. -b.

Looks like it could be interesting, although I never read any of the Hellblazer books. I also kind of liked Constantine (sorry!). The synopsis I read made the show seem like it was going to be a lot like how Supernatural was (traveling around dispatching demons/monsters). I would say depending on the time-slot this will give this 1/2 to 2 full seasons. -b.

Agree, the DX 25S would have looked cooler a bit darker. Although it might not have been screen or line-art accurate. -b.

LOL - right? On paper I'm sure it looks good for them if the strategy results in strong sales and profits, but dang...at least try, or give the appearance of making enough of the variants people want so that folks can actually get them at reasonable prices. -b.

Just paid for mine, but I'm not sure I will keep it. I really do like the head-sculpt but I don't like how the grey color of the Valk is showing up in pictures. -b.

Lottery huh? What a pain-in-the-@ss. Bandai sure does enjoy d!cking around with Frontier releases. -b.

Personal preference I guess, but I think the Gerwalk on the VF-4 is pretty bad too. I've had this page bookmarked from B_A_T_S Flickr page for awhile now and it has tons of shots of the VF-4G, while it looks good attached to a stand in Gerwalk it's not at all attractive standing on it's own (IMO). https://www.flickr.com/photos/bat_/with/8322834139/ -b.

Gotcha, it's been awhile since I've watched Frontier (TV or movies) so I didn't recall what additional ordinance the VF-171(EX) carried sans-Armor Packs. And yeah, that's Bandai's MO - extras are extra! -b.

Check the alignment of both the nose and wing. The metal arm used to transform the nose just beneath the UN Spacy kite needs to be pulled all the way out/forward for the nosecone to sit flush, you should be able to see what I mean if you swing it all the way down. The wing connection can be a pain sometimes, I just move the wing itself out via the metal arms used for high-speed mode and connect the wing root to the leg that way. -b.
-
Yeah, but there are no missiles for any Bandai Renewal Frontier Valks besides what comes with the 171's Armor Parts. If you don't get the Armor for the 171 then there aren't any missiles to be had anyway - so there isn't a need for hard-points. -b.

Agree about the blue on the canopy, it really is too much. I actually like the metallic tones, I think it does well with the color scheme (but then again I'm partial to metallic on just about anything). What stands out to me more than anything are the bright yellow stripes (and the BLUE canopy). -b.

Ha! Thanks for posting. Looking thru the picks this will be a Battroid only Valk for me, I absolutely love the head sculpt. -b.

AKIRA LIVE ACTION MOVIE = Life Support?
Kanedas Bike replied to Macross007's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Truly an A for effort. But Akira should remain as anime or manga only. -b. -
Waiting on my invoice from Hobby Search - guessing sometime later this evening. And for you members looking at your phones while behind the wheel, NO posting and driving! -b.

Can't and won't argue about Hayley Atwell, she is very attractive. Like all things, Agent Carter could be good if handled right or it could be a mess. My only concern would be if there is any revisionist history with regard to the Marvel cinematic universe because of her show. And looking at the suitcase Agent Triplett had from his grandfather, a member of the Howling Commandos, I'd wager that there could be some pretty funky effects (laser cigarette anyone?). I also like the tie in AoS has with the movies, I think Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a great example of how the show can be used to enhance or supplement the larger universe. -b.

All Things Videogame Related: EXTREME VS!!
Kanedas Bike replied to Keith's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Will do - thanks for the suggestion! Re: the NES, I'd totally buy one for the 30th anniversary or whatever. As it stands my 360, PS3 and 4 are collecting dust (just haven't been in the mood to play much of anything) and I haven't even thought about getting an One yet. -b.- 6837 replies
