  1. Is she supposed to be a re-imagining of Jason from Friday the 13th? -b.
  2. Yep! Used to love playing that game, at the time I thought the dunks were the coolest thing in life ever. My friend and I would have Double Dribble and Pro Wrestling tournaments (Star Man vs. Fighter Hayabusa). -b.
  3. ^ha! Let's go Heat. And that reminds me of Double Dribble; http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=gw7poSD0adg -b.
  4. ...still stalking the usual places for them to re-open their pre-orders. It's exhausting work. -b.
  5. Well heck, you could end up with issues like that buying brand new from Yamato/Arcadia and Bandai. And agree, there's always an inherent risk when buying something that is second-hand or left-over stock, but I think with how Mandarake lists items you have a better chance of a positive surprise vs. a negative one. -b.
  6. Ah, now I see why I didn't remember. Selective amnesia. Agree, about Stargate, especially the cast Kurt Russell and James Spader were really good in it. -b.
  7. That's why I like Mandarake so much, just about everything I've purchased from them has come in better than advertised condition. -b.
  8. See...before now I hadn't even thought about trying to collect a Weathering Edition VF-1S Max (or any Weathering Edition) but now I kind of want one just to make it a new "holy grail". -b.
  9. Truly. -b.
  10. Don't remember all of their productions but I'm going to agree that the original Stargate was the (or one of the) only movie of theirs that I liked as well. The different series were hit or miss with me but I didn't hate any of them. Depending on cast, director, etc. this will be a "wait and see" or "immediate pass" for me as well. -b.
  11. Yep, I saw the Voyager Evasion Optimus and a Voyager Grimlock. I had the Optimus in my hand but I didn't like the G1 look - something just looked off (IMHO), the Grimlock didn't get a second look as I was too busy eyeballing his Leader Class counterpart. This particular store was well stocked with AoE merchandise and a few Generations figures as well. -b.
  12. Stargate; METRO-GOLDWYN-MAYER PICTURES AND WARNER BROS. PICTURES PARTNER WITH ROLAND EMMERICH AND DEAN DEVLIN FOR “STARGATE” TRILOGYLos Angeles, CA (May 29, 2014) – Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures, together with Roland Emmerich and Dean Devlin, are partnering to launch a new feature film trilogy that reimagines the 1994 film Stargate. The announcement was made today by Gary Barber, MGM’s Chairman and CEO. Emmerich, who directed and co-wrote the original film with Devlin, is confirmed to direct and Devlin will produce. Barber said, “We couldn’t be more excited to once again partner with Roland and Dean, the world-class creators of the original Stargate, to bring their reinvigorated vision of this wildly popular property to audiences of multiple generations.” He added, “Stargate is one of the biggest titles in MGM's vast library, and we look forward to adding this great franchise to our slate." “The Stargate universe is one that we missed terribly, and we cannot wait to get going on imagining new adventures and situations for the trilogy. This story is very close to our hearts, and getting the chance to revisit this world is in many ways like a long lost child that has found its way back home,” said Emmerich and Devlin. 13. Hey, there's always a chance. Now the odds of that chance based purely on how much whining we do is another story... -b.
  14. Went to another local Toys R Us earlier this evening to see if they had any MP Grimlock, and of course none were there to be found. But while there I saw the current Leader Class Grimlock and Optimus Prime from AoE - and I can honestly say I was tempted to buy both as a set. The Leader Grimlock actually looked pretty good, I loved the colors, the however Prime looked like something was off, or cheap looking (especially compared to Grimlock) about him so I decided to pass on both. If there is a better repaint of this Leader Class Prime then I might buy, shell-former or not. -b.
  15. ^All I would suggest is that you watch it for yourself, whether that be at the theater, on cable, Netflix, whatever. It's your time and money. An IMDb synopsis isn't going to have any of the impact (good or bad) as watching it for yourself. And while I was not a fan of the first three X movies, I enjoyed First Class as a marked improvement over the first three and I enjoyed Days of Future Past as a marked improvement over First Class. I give credit where credit is due that the studio found a clever way to incorporate a lot of different characters while trying to correct what many viewed as mistakes from the first three (or just the third) X-Men movies. -b.
  16. While I'm truly disappointed about the news of other re-releases being false, THIS^. -b.
  17. Damn that last review was crushing; "literally write a thesis on the ineptitude on display..." OUCH -b.
  18. Saw that too, I would have passed if I saw it while it was still available as it was missing at least (1) missile and seemed that the box and or Valk might have been just a little worse for the wear. Great buy if someone is going to customize it. -b.
  19. Generally speaking I'm the same way, I like to have multiples for a few different reasons. One to open and the rest to just sit. Sometimes the one I open get's broken, sometimes I want to have them in different modes for display. And while I don't buy to invest, if by having a copy sealed or unopened means I can sell it and get money for another purchase or some real world activity well then even better. Re: Ozma 29, I only have (1) and it's open on my desk as I type this. -b.
  20. / Honestly I'm surprised that you still have as much as you do V.E, I remember shopping at your site ages ago and how for a lot of us it's how we got our start (or became addicted) to collecting Macross. And don't listen to EXO, he just wants to buy or run off with all the stuff he's eyeballing in those pictures or that he thinks you still have tucked away in storage. -b.
  21. ^ Especially that last Battroid pic. -b.
