  1. Agree, I like what Bandai has done with their Soul of Chogokin and Metal Build lines. But for my money, if it's going to be really expensive this hypothetical VF-1 had better be the end-all-don't-beat-all of high-end Valkyries. -b.
  2. Yes, but we know exactly how N-Y tends to operate, as scalpers if and when they can and as an above-board e-tailer in the same vein as HLJ, Ami-Ami, Hobby Search and the like . This goes beyond the Macross merchandise they carry. There are things that I like about N-Y (convenience of getting exclusives greatest among them) and thinks that I don't (like the instant 100% mark-up once they have a "new" supply of Ozma 29's when they were having such a hard time fulfilling orders at a cheaper cost). That being said they can run their business in the way that best suits them and people can choose to spend their money in the way that best suits them. It's all good. -b.
  3. You rang? Yeah, I'm sure they will get around to more VF-1's at some point. Let Arcadia take their time and release things in a way that's fiscally responsible for their longevity. -b.
  4. For $ 500-$600 (mad just typing that) it had better be more intricately detailed than the 1/48 from Club M. Including but certainly not limited things that we haven't already seen produced in any scale for toys or models (1/100, 1/72, 1/60v1, 1/60v2, 1/55 or 1/48). For $ 500 it had better rock my world - twice. -b.
  5. LOL @ effeminate man-cave! Certainly don't think that I'll have that level of posh once I re-settle, but I definitely will have my own space set up (ideally) in a finished basement or attic. I'm drooling right now just thinking about it... -b.
  6. No one is joking, this movie/production has the makings/aka potential (underline and alternative so that you get that this word is both important and to help you with context) to be a huge mess. That doesn't mean anyone wants it to be. But the fact remains that Marvel is now on to their 4th choice of directors, with a release date a little more than a year away. So, yeah... -b.
  7. Been thinking about a "dream" collection display. A man-cave in a finished basement or attic with all the trappings; Media center piece with video, audio and gaming Comfortable seating with a couch, a couple of lounge chairs Entertainment area with a small bar and pool table A back wall or other area lined with glassed-in/glass shelves for my Macross, Transformers or whatever else I want to display Something like these (money and space notwithstanding); Thank you sir. -b.
  8. Not familiar with those designs, but if this VF-19 is dull or conservative in comparison then hopefully that bodes well for Arcadia. Just want to reiterate, while I'm no fan of this Valk I do hope it does well so that we can get more of the releases that I and others like/want as well. -b.
  9. Just a friendly suggestion, trying reading a few posts up to get an idea of context. -b.
  10. ^nice! I have mine displayed in Battroid with Super Parts. -b.
  11. This. This too. For sure this. Yeah, I hope that Arcadia doesn't either. I just have to assume that they've learned from all the factors that led to Yamato's demise and that they're making sound business decisions (regardless of someone's personal taste in Valkyrie colors). -b.
  12. Wow, that was an incredibly cynical AND funny article. So...big fat mess in the making, I guess Marvel had to stumble at some point. -b.
  13. Wouldn't count on it, they still have the 25A at their last mark-up price of 16,000 JPY and the 25F that's being re-issued in a month at 25,500 JPY. And I'm not saying they should sell them for 17,000 JPY or less, sure mark it up, but TWICE the price? Ugh. I wish there was another (easy as click, add, order) alternative for Bandai exclusives as I wouldn't do business with N-Y if you paid me. -b.
  14. And for those buyers that do, good on them. I wouldn't presume (and I'm not saying that you are either) to judge anyone on what they spend their money on. It's. Their. Cash. BUT N-Y gouging at twice the damn price fresh off of not being able to fulfill orders speaks so many volumes it's not even funny. How many of those units are cancelled pre-orders that people didn't wait on? And now they can sell them at twice the price. That's just some epic level douchebaggery. -b.
  15. That's not entirely true, Ford had two defining moments with Godzilla and the MUTO, the first when he blew up the eggs and drew the ire of the female MUTO and again when we had a magical moment staring into Godzilla's eyes. -b.
  16. Read up while it's locked, pending cooler heads and more news; http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40883&page=1 Like it's been said over and over again Bandai can get around to re-issuing the 25S and G at annnyyyy time now. -b.
  17. LOL at N-Y. At first they couldn't fulfill their orders now they have stock at twice the price. With love, they can kiss every square inch of my ___. -b.
