  1. / Agree, hopefully the VF-0D does really well for Arcadia so that they release a version 2 VF-0S. -b.
  2. As others have said, it's a sure bet that it will be close (on either side of $ 300). -b.
  3. ^LOL That's how I feel whenever I see a release I MUST have. -b.
  4. Really interested in seeing what optional parts, whether that be a replacement/supplement for the missile pod or something along the lines of Armor Parts. Hopefully whatever comes out isn't a complete fugly mess and actually augments the appearance of the Valk. -b.
  5. Well, shoot - in that case there's no way you couldn't have grown up instantly. But back on topic, you bring up a good point about Hot Rod > Rodimus Prime. He wasn't ready to become the leader of the Autobots but Prime and the Matrix sensed his potential. The problem I had with him as a character in the cartoons post TF:TM was just how much he second guessed himself. So maybe the writers zeroed in on that lack of experience angle just a bit too strongly as it became his battle cry. It's too bad because he became such a divisive character from one that had a bunch of potential (IMO). -b.
  6. You fought a purple dude that wore a big metal chain with a large charm attached to it? -b.
  7. Ha ha ha! I don't think Spacebrick will ever get old. My adult point of view on Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime/Rodimus is very similar to yours, but were we differ is that I still like Hot Rod, like the insanity that is the Rodimus Prime space-future-Winnebago but I absolutely loathe Rodimus Prime. Worst. Autobot. Leader. Ever. Even more so than Ultra Magnus from TF:The Movie. Yep, I'm with you Benson. Hot Rod is awesome. Now you want to come out of the closet. You're just a big ole' closet Hot Rod fan. And I 100% agree about Wreckgar, then again I like a lot of the movie designs, Hot Rod, Springer, Arcee, Kup, Blurr, Cyclonus, Galvatron, etc. -b.
  8. My favorite of the Metal Gear series (going back to the NES) have to be Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid IV. Now I'm not at all debating which games may be better across the entire series, because I can't - haven't played them all. I do hope that MGS V has the attributes you listed, minus the ones that based on your comments suck (because seriously, creating staff?). -b.
  9. Congratulations on your purchase. Unless Arcadia re-releases the Strike & Super Parts you have to just hope for a good deal to show up but your best bet is a retail release, if and when that comes. -b.
  10. LOL - let's just say that the golden age of collecting is whatever you personally want it to be. If the Bandai Frontier releases rock your world then so be it, if you're like me and wish for a good mix from more than one company and pine for the days that you could you know, actually buy the things you want at retail then you may feel differently. Was initially upset that I didn't catch this one last night (I was up and browsing when it was listed and sold); http://ekizo.mandarake.co.jp/shop/en/item_s-879089.html But it doesn't appear to be one of the 30th Anniversary releases so I don't feel too bad. -b.
  11. Ha! I was thinking the exact same thing when I saw the pictured David H. posted "Ultra Magnus is THICK". IF I get Eva Prime it's sitting in a box forever. Now that sucks, I too thought the 1st release Takara version was the crappy one, I have a Hasbro MP Rodimus (sorry Benson, not for sale or trade ) in a box and the idea that his arm or other limbs may just fall off is really upsetting me. So sure, at this point Takara, Hot Rod needs a re-do. -b.
  12. Thank you again David, that certainly paints a clearer picture of the Metal Gear franchise. Metal Gear: The Story for Dummies (obviously me ). -b.
  13. For sure, as a character Ultra Magnus was a d-bag, but I'm still stoked about having a "proper-ish" MP version of him. I'm not even concerned about display space, mostly because I have exactly 0 Transformers displayed (all Macross, Gundam Metal Build and Play Arts Kai). And as much as I don't like EVA Prime, his trailer does look cool. Thanks for the pics Gakk. -b.
  14. For real, the arrival of the Ozma 29 is certainly the catalyst for the price increase of the 25S. Now it's damn near impossible to find either at a palatable price. Stooooopid Ozma. -b.
  15. Oh, don't recall the fuss over that, but I would venture to say that those issues are no better or worse than any (choose one) of Yamato's releases. And I agree that it'd be nice if company A or B would release more product but it's so obvious that they're gun-shy because of what happened with company Y. Is the golden-era over? I would say no, but it's certainly different from a couple of years ago. And think about this, Yamato started producing Macross toys in 99/2000, that was 14 years ago and we're still here with even more high-end Macross collectibles to choose from. -b.
  16. More like easier to understand, me thinks current after-market prices for Ozma are far from being reasonable. But I certainly get what you're saying. -b.
  17. All good! And I love that you put "reasonable" in quotes, we're definitely on the same page there. Just saw this too, man that's an AMAZING deal. Really wish I'd checked Mandarake earlier. Congrats (but not really :P/ ) to whomever was able to score that set. -b. *edit since the two posts were merged
  18. Yeah, we've been talking about that in the Collectibles Watch thread. Just keep in mind it's not just the 25S itself, it also includes the Super and Armor Parts. -b.
  19. Agree, from a financial perspective I'm very happy that I wasn't into most of these super robots or other anime because while the SOC line has put out some amazing looking pieces I'm not at all tempted to spend money on them because there's no nostalgic or current attachment. -b.
  20. MP-22 Ultra Magnus is back up on HLJ (it may have come up and down a couple of times, don't recall). http://www.hlj.com/product/TKT80320/Sci Let me know once we start complaining about the hue of red or blue on the prototype pics. -b.
  21. That's for the Renewal 25S, Super Parts AND Armor Parts included. When you factor in prices for all three items; $ 50-60 for Super, $ 180-$200 for Armor it's $ 450+ for a sealed 25S. Crazy. -b.
