Macross Collectibles Market Watch - Current Auction/Store SOLD prices
Kanedas Bike replied to jvmacross's topic in Toys
Saw that earlier, if I hadn't pulled the trigger on another expensive Yamato over the weekend that would have been mine! -b. -
^You know what would make people flip out, if Bandai released a DX Family Mart before, or in lieu of re-issues like the 25S or G. -b.

...sigh. -b.

Yeah, watched this too. It seemed very, VERY derivative of just about everything. GoT with the political intrigue along with just about any post-apocalyptic TV show movie where a city-state has been established to protect the survivors. And Legion was horrible, but I guess I appreciate that this is supposed to be a loosely (or maybe direct) based sequel. I probably will not watch this going forward unless it gets some amazing word-of-mouth, or I'm bored to tears. -b.

Ha, ha, ha - "maybe". I know what happens every time I tell myself I'm going to tone it down, a higher credit card bill or lower bank account balance. Good luck! -b.

Posted an hour after you Mommar, but someone does now; http://www.macrossworld.com/mwf/index.php?showtopic=40713&p=1129626 -b.

Hmmm...I can feel the righteous indignation building up inside me if they say "supply issues". Yeah, yeah. Although I have to admit I've been a lot more "aware" of AmiAmi's shipping costs. $$$$ Yep! That is an awesome scheme on that 1/72! Too bad the DX's are virtually impossible to customize like that. -b.

AmiAmi and N-Y. Let me add, that I'm not worried about either, I just want my stuff because other people are getting theirs. -b.

Ordered and paid from two different stores and still no shipping notice. I have shipment envy. -b.

Yeah, I caught a snippet last night and felt the same, probably since I haven't watched in two years. Maybe I'll binge on Netflix... -b.

Never gonna happen. And once again to prove how committed I am to that declaration, I'm willing to bet one of Gakken's Godzilla figures if I'm wrong. -b.

Arcadia 1/60 Perfect Transformation VF-0D for 2015
Kanedas Bike replied to Dark_Ghost's topic in Toys
Always enjoy seeing prototype and progress pictures. Besides the chunkiness as a stand-out feature (and I too favor sleek designs or implementations of such) there are a LOT of pointy bits hanging off of that plane. I hope they test, test, test and then test some more to make sure those parts hold-up, similar to the pic that David posted above. -b. -
Yes sir, I watched it. I will say that I found it better than expected, but with shows like this I'm not that optimistic about it's life-expectancy. Even if it is on TNT vs. Fox or NBC. Hopefully I'm wrong as I'd like to see the story complete. -b.

This guy, orders so much stuff he forgets what day it was. Still waiting on shipping confirmation of mine as well. -b.

And it's that same inconsistent customer experience that's also frustrating for customers, promise keepers and non-promise keepers alike. But back on topic, I wonder how minty-green Luca's 171 will look in person...I hope that it's the same shade as his RVF-25. -b.
-
Yeah, the price for the CF-171 Armor Parts should be very reasonable, blame, or thank the problems that the 171 has for keeping the price on the low end. They're actually still available for purchase at N-Y for around $60. -b.

You've made a lot of assumptions in your post, but I still appreciate your perspective. Since this appears to be about me as the "arrogant jerk whose business they may not way" I will say that I do honor promises I make - to friends, family, professional associates, etc. Now I don't see that with a vendor that is competing with other vendors for my business, and maybe this is a cultural North American "thing" but I have the right to spend my money how I see fit and where I see fit. This whole discussion began because N-Y claimed that they could not fulfill pre-orders because of cancellations, which is a complete lie. One; N-Y does NOT allow cancellations Two; Cancellations occur only after the time frame given in the payment request window expires Three; It was Bandai's supply, or lack thereof that caused the issues N-Y experienced by accepting more orders than they could fulfill Four; N-Y somehow magically found stock of the Ozma YF-29 to mark up to "aftermarket" prices - I guess it's a good thing so many people broke their promise. Now perhaps it is "acceptable" in Japan, or maybe in your own perception of Japan, to place blame at the feet of others, but I'm the type of arrogant jerk that spotted the lie for what it is. -b.

Lucky you. For the most part the United States Postal Service is reliable in my area, but there are times when they fail to leave notification of EMS delivery attempts and I basically have had to stalk anything I ordered via SAL to make sure I get delivery (which is why I will NOT use SAL again). This. This too. Agreed! But I don't think that will happen. Besides maybe AmiAmi (an assumption on my part) I don't think any other e-tailer that ships worldwide has the type of processes or warehouse space that HLJ has. -b.

Congrats and that's an awesome collection for only having a year under your belt! And thanks for those amazing pics you post. -b.

Macross Collectibles Market Watch - Current Auction/Store SOLD prices
Kanedas Bike replied to jvmacross's topic in Toys
It was around the time I originally posted, so maybe(?) around 3:30-4:00 AM EST when it went up, but sold shortly after that. I was up late and checking Mandarake and saw it. -b.
