Guardians of the Galaxy, on DVD/Blu-Ray December 9, 2014
Kanedas Bike replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Sorry to edit out 99.9% of your post, but I just had to shout out Rom: Space Knight! One of the first comics I ever read as a very young kid. Now and Easter Egg with Rom and/or the Dire Waiths would have been truly an epic moment. I wonder if the good folks over at Marvel have even thought about a Rom movie or cameo... Hopefully I get a chance to see GotG in theaters again, it really is worth a 2nd viewing. -b.- 344 replies

Cool shot of the VF-1D! -b. -
If it's a logistical issue, then I can be more understanding. But even with that, if there is demand then for a product (not just Macross Frontier, but Gundam, Hello Kitty or whatever) then do what you can to facilitate more production. Even if that means releasing a product further down the line so that production values are more in-line with what the market is asking for. Gonna stop beating the dead horse (for) now. Congrats to those that their first 25S got one thru whatever retailer they were able, it's an awesome piece to have. -b.
-
Not buying it, or rather, not excusing it. There is risk adverse and there is what's happening with the Frontier line. If retailers are asking Bandai, as I'm sure they are, to produce more because there is a demand then the "we, the company, only make X number of units because we only want Y dollars of profit" argument is stupid. Big businesses are in business to make ALL the money, not just a certain amount. -b.
-
The whole argument, assumption or assertion of Bandai releasing more of the 25S at some point is logical and makes sense. But why not just do that to begin with instead of causing shortages and dissatisfaction among your customer base? Just dumb, dumb, dumb on Bandai's part. -b.

Keeps curse words to myself. That's the type of nonsense that made me initially shy away from Destiny when it was announced. I like co-op play, but when (or if) rules get put into place that say you have to have 5 or 6 people playing at the same time or else you're SoL then it makes me not a happy camper. And that article seems like it was written for me and my peers, we fit the bill with regards to "real-world" roles and responsibilities. Oh well, hopefully there will be enough constructive feedback that this will either change, or not come to pass. -b.
-
Seriously! LOL And they want to get you with outrageous shipping too! I'll be happy with my single, 3 year (or however old it is) Renewal 25S that's sitting in Armor Parts and go about my merry way. The only way N-Y will stop that foolishness is if people stop buying at ridiculous mark-ups, which apparently won't happen. And thanks for proving me wrong Bandai, you are indeed idiots for not providing enough stock to satisfy even the most basic market demand. -b.
-
Nope, I'll save my $ 40 and complain NOW. -b.

Guardians of the Galaxy, on DVD/Blu-Ray December 9, 2014
Kanedas Bike replied to azrael's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Saw it in IMAX 3D earlier today, loved it. Not sure where it ranks in terms of Marvel and/or other comic book movies but surely in the top 3 or 5. My only Guardians of the Galaxy specific gripe was the very final post credit scene, the mid-credit scene was so much better and really pretty epic in and of itself. The other gripe goes across other Marvel films and has to do with why the hell no one is paying attention to the (6) you-know-what stones as a whole vs. just dealing with them singularly or as needed. And yeah, the soundtrack was awesome. And, and, there were a few attractive women sprinkled throughout the movie. Bonus points for that Mr. Gunn. -b.- 344 replies

What difference does it make why? Yamato is gone and Arcadia is here. The question was if Yamato and/or Arcadia released Super & Strike Parts for the VF-1 separately, which was answered. Talking about why one company went out of business is irrelevant. -b.
-
Yeah, budgetary concerns have been foremost on my mind as well zzgundam. And David, I'll have you know that I do in fact have two RVF-25's, but that's not because I ordered (2) it's because a certain store sent me the wrong item and then tried to make go thru hoops to exchange it - so I just kept it instead. Not a great price, but not a horrible one either. If it were $ 149.99 with shipping then I'd say jump all over it. -b.

^LOL But vlenhoff has some excellent points, while the Bay Transformer designs don't bother me and I don't care if the Transformers themselves resemble the look of their cartoon counterparts, as long as they evoke a feeling that they're the characters they're supposed to represent - which Prime, Bumblebee, Iron Hide/Ratchet, Megatron and Star Scream. have done (IMHO) but most others have not. And therein lies the issue, because vlenhoff hit the nail on the head. Bay sees the Transformers as "things" vs characters, this is true with a great number of Autobots and most of the Decipticons (they're just countless, personality devoid, thugs and/or cannon fodder). He missed the entire premise, robots with personalities. But hey, beating a billion dollar dead horse at this point. Like them or not these TF films are here to stay. -b.

Interesting, mine does not have a (1) printed on the chest so based on your info that would explain why the shoulders are good on my VF-1J. Wouldn't this make 3 sets since you have the missile firing effect as well, or did that one not include a Valkyrie? -b.
-
FYI only, that bundled set has safe shoulders, I've had it for years and have never replaced the shoulders (knocks on wood now that I've put that into print). I'm excited to pick up another set too, Yamato/Arcadia toys are still my favorite to buy - could have something to do with the ease of purchase (suck it Bandai). -b.

Destiny was the fist ever Beta I participated in and I had an absolute blast. I haven't had this much in a game since I played a small title called Mass Effect. I'm really stoked to get the full version in my hands so I can kill tons and tons of my free time with it. -b.
