  1. Yes, you did (thank you again ), and I'm pretty sure I've seen instances of you helping others out as well. Do as you like, you're an adult, but I would say avoid the bad-karma (if you subscribe to that sort of thing). That's all. -b.
  2. Put me in the "I like my half-Renewal VF-27" column too. Totally agree with the feedback that there could have been further improvement upon the v1, but all-in-all it's not a horrible release. -b.
  3. Nice pics and 1st hand tips and feedback everyone. I've always been a Fighter mode first/only guy but the Battroid mode on the YF-30 has really grown on me. I think that's where this Valkyrie will spend most of her time. -b.
  4. Ok, so I hear what you both are saying but there's no need to laugh at anyone (careless, clueless or simply unaware) that gets caught up in any potential (and it's still potential until the mess actually happens, 99% likelihood or not) mess at Play-Asia. If anything disdain should continue to be directed towards Bandai for causing this nonsense to begin with. Driving people to be desperate enough to essentially play what appears to be a losing-hand trying to get a 25S (or most other DX Renewals for that matter). Play nice guys, especially since I know you've both worked in the past to look out for members here. -b.
  5. ^LOL - right. And as a collector you literally need an Eagle, Gandalf or a Ring of Power or two just go get an order placed. -b.
  6. Nice Frontier collection and pictures. As others have said the 25A (and corresponding Super Armor) would both be easy to obtain and fit your fleet nicely. The Isamu YF-29 should remain fairly easy to get as well, provided there are enough other "in-demand" Bandai Renewal Valkyries out there. -b.
  7. Would love to know how many units have been ordered with them. As long as they left the order open, at least. I feel sorry for their customer service folks who will have to answer a gazillion emails about cancelled orders because they couldn't secure enough stock. -b.
  8. Not true, especially for Iron Man armors which are always seeing a different version of armor being released. Those are the only Hot Toys items I've ever bought and/or sold, but every single one, every one, including those that I had on display for years sold well over MSRP. On topic, there is still chance additional orders will open up on HLJ since they have the YF-30 listed as Order Stop vs. Discontinued. -b.
  9. This thread is full of win. And yeah, I'd buy one in a shade of blue, grey and orange as well. Purple, maybe, since I brought it up. -b.
  10. So answering this question again since I think it's like me and 1 other person that has openly admitted to keeping a lot of items MISB or MIB, I buy them and keep them sealed because I want to. It's a personal preference and my "style" of collecting. I don't think anyone, other than those that say they open everything and play with toys in their rooms, said anything about collecting for profit. I buy what I buy because I want to. Period. Thanks for your 1st point and understanding that just because it's not for you doesn't make it at best "something that doesn't make sense" or at worst "a horrible way to save for retirement". To each his or her own people, no need to say anything other than what you like and why, and there is certainly no need to lob back-handed comments because you don't agree or understand why someone does something differently than you. -b.
  11. Nice! Hopefully any issues with the pilot figure are worked out well before launch. So, as someone that's never played Titanfall I have to go off of aesthetics on the Titans themselves. Based on what I found via search on the Stryder and Ogre I wouldn't buy either. -b.
  12. Wow, great job! Browsing thru your Flickr page as well, very impressive. -b.
  13. Judgement Free Zone over here, do what you have to. And as fine a line as it may be, this doesn't look like scalping to me. I've had to sell quite a few items in a pinch. Sometimes at a loss, others at a profit - in either case it's just a matter of liquidating what are essentially assets. And it beats tapping savings or some other asset. I just paid Private Warehouse shipping for the 30 and 25F I had sitting at HLJ. Hopefully they ship out once HLJ opens for business today (well, Japan local time). -b.
  14. If you purchased with the expressed intent to flip then it's not a conundrum at all. -b.
  15. If it comes out purple heads will explode. -b.
  16. As a casual fan of Transformers and/or what I like to think is smart movie-making I respectfully disagree that there is a need for substance, story or heart to get more money. Transformers is a money-making juggernaut at this point, as long as the story is barely passable and there are giant robots blowing sh!t up people will line up to see it. Sad, but true. -b.
  17. LOL, yeah right Yeah, well I think the Shawshank Redemption is better than both The Winter Soldier and GotG. Guardians was a really, really good entry to the Marvel-verse set of movies. If I were to have any issue with it, its that as a stand-alone film it wouldn't have been as enjoyable. One of this movie's advantages is that it can take advantage of an established franchise of films for story and plot development. -b.
  18. which will also be complained about for not being too grey instead of a medium-light grey -b.
  19. LOL - agreed!!!! Ditto (well, at least I hope there are no issues with Luca's 171). -b.
  20. True story, I used to have a boss that would sent that via email. And I swore I'd never do that once I was promoted to a leadership position. Then low and behold I'd get some truly, jaw dropping, you've got to be kidding me, dumb questions or statements. And out came the "???". So ouch and indeed. Right! -b.
