    IIRC the after-market prices of Ultra Magnus have never really been that high, especially compared to that of Prime. But I am very glad that they didn't do a white MP-10 in armor, it's been done before and I like that the decision was made to go with Ultra Magnus as his own, unique character rather than just another dressed up Optimus clone. -b.

    LOL - she definitely needs a wash, but I really like it. It reminds me of/actually looks a LOT like the Batmobile from the new Batman: Arkham Knight video game. -b.

    Love that pic, and despite newer design aesthetic, more guns, larger stature, etc. of the 0S and 29 the VF-1S still looks the most bad-ass of the group. -b.

    While it may seem like an apples to apples comparison looking at Bandai Renewal releases as they relate to Yamato/Arcadia you really can't. And I agree that Bandai's rapid evolution with regards to design quality and aesthetic has been noteworthy, but they also have a gigantic advantage by way of capital and the ability to spend money to get improvements designed and to market. And I don't know why, can't really explain it but it still feels like Arcadia views Macross as a labor of love while Bandai treats it as just another product line in their non-Gundam catalog. Bandai = BIG business Yamato/Arcadia = MEDIUM business, almost garage kit status There is a reason why Arcadia is doing 1 new mold per year and has been more than tentative with other releases. And all of that said. I really do like the YF-30, especially in Battroid mode. As a matter of fact it hasn't been in Fighter mode since I took it out of the box. -b.

    Oh, well that explains it then! Was going to ask (tongue in cheek of course) why that Gundam had an Autobot faction symbol on it, but honestly wanted to know what that dude looked like Magnus. Sorry, wasn't really thinking of anyone in particular. I just know from the comments in the Toys section that for some reason people get kind of uppity and judgmental with regards to playing with high priced collectibles vs. those of us that actually enjoy collecting for the sake of it. -b.

    Cool, thanks Gakk. I probably won't open him, I haven't opened a MP Transformer since the TRU Rodimus I picked up years ago. They're all sitting nicely in a closet, MISB (take that MISB haters). Why does that one above have the head of a younger looking Ultra Magnus? -b.

    Well as long as you're not all arguing about the shade of red... Forgot to mention/post that I found and purchased Toys R Us Masterpiece Prowl the other day, price, ridiculous price and over-sized box be damned - I was happy with the "find" and pulled the trigger. -b.

    Have to agree, that while not confirmed it is very likely the 25S will see more stock released the closer we get to release and at release. But in no way does anyone expect this to be a shelf-warmer. You're probably thinking of Play-Asia. -b.

    No way! Evolution was 100% Grade A guilty, stupid (stoopid) pleasure. Haven't seen it in years but it was a fun type of stupid and IMO didn't take itself seriously at all, mostly because it was a comedy. I mean, c'mon - Head n Shoulders -b.

    Going to pick up my copy of Destiny tomorrow, not in the mood to hit the Best Buy I pre-ordered from for the midnight release and I still need to finish my play-through of another game (which should be done tonight). -b.

    Ah, yes a judgement on value, I hear you on that and no arguments on what you think your dollar is worth. In my head I thought that he'd be much more expensive, that's probably why I didn't hesitate to place an order. And shaking my head at yet another example of how hilariously inaccurate Transformers are animated. -b.

    Collector's mentality and Transformers, especially Masterpiece releases is a property that I actively collect. And if I really and truly decide I don't like it I'll be able to sell it and almost certainly make a little money on the transaction. And $ 280 total, not sure if you meant $ 280* 2 or not. The colors and aesthetic absolutely evoke a feeling of old-school Gundam. Not 00, Destiny or the newer designs, which I like. But yeah, I could see Star Saber fitting into the Gundam universe a lot easier than into that of Transformers - purely off of color scheme and "look". -b.

    ^^LOL Forgot to mention that despite my incessant trash talk about MP-24, and no I'm not a convert/fan of the colors, space-brickiness or Gundam-esque aesthetic I did order two earlier today. As Gak pointed out it's only $ 280 so I figured why the heck not. -b.
