Whoops!!!! Totally forgot about Alto's 171 EX. Sounds like peer pressure time. You owe it to yourself to own Alto's 171 AND corresponding Armor Parts. Just buy the next one you see available, frustrating transformation be darned (ha ha). -b. -
You and me both. He needs to look even more menacing than the Sentinels (which IMO was one of the strongest points of DoFP). If they can nail that then they're already on their way to a good movie. -b.

Medicom/Hot Toys and all 1/6 scale figures
Kanedas Bike replied to EXO's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Yeah, agreed. The likeness is just off, but really not a big deal. If I were big into Star Wars merchandise or 6th scale figures not named Iron Man then these would be a must have. And could you imagine how ridiculously large and expensive a Millennium Falcon would be? You'd need a garage just to store it. -b. -
ouch gotcha -b.

^Indeed you do - very nice! If you opt to do another shot that is Alto-themed please be sure to consider the YF-29, I was not a fan when I first saw the design (especially the color scheme that they used for Alto's), but I appreciate the Valk for what it is and the other variants helped me warm to he design. -b. -
Certainly see your point, but I still thought it was epic. That entire sequence right thru the end of the episode really carried weight for me. -b.

Hmmmm.... Well I did one of the Queen's missions (Special Event currently running) and did the "Loot Cave" for the first time and leveled up to 20. I think "Heroic" as an actual choice only unlocks at that point and there is dialogue that says as much once you level to 20 (although I've done Bounties that said "Heroic" at lower levels and still achieved them). No time to check that theory tonight either by playing or searching the webs. I'm sure someone will come in at some point and set me straight by the time I can log on tomorrow. -b.
-
Dumb question/confirmation, but "Heroic" just means that you bump the difficulty level up from the default to whatever the highest available option is before you launch right? I'm assuming yes, but I keep reading Heroic but have yet to see an option to select it in-game (other than it being listed on Bounties that's the only time I see the word). -b.

Apologies for picture quoting, but that shot deserves to be seen and not buried on the last page. I would say that you need Alto's YF-29 too, but (1) I understand the theme of his 25's (which is awesome) and (2), I don't want your wallet to suffer any more than it already has. Especially if you paid current market prices for his Super and Armor Parts. -b. -
^Ha, yes that smiley would absolutely suffice. The season premier was EPIC. The last 3 minutes or so had my jaw on the floor with anticipation, shock, sadness and a little hope. Easily my favorite show on network TV right now (cable shows are hard to match, especially those on premium stations). -b.

No, that Red Band trailer does not inspire confidence. That said This is the End was amazing, so that will earn The Interview at least an initial "I'll watch it on Cable/Netflix", if word of mouth about this is outstanding then maybe I'll see it at the theater. -b.

Nice! Makes me want to transform a Yamato/Arcadia or two. -b.

Cool, I thought that they were less expensive than $ 150 but I honestly couldn't recall. I was never that interested in them and only purchased one when they were released. Depending on if the one(s) you're looking at are "Weathering Edition" or not and if it's still sealed then $ 150 may not be that bad of a price. Good luck. -b.

If it weren't for the fact that Simon Kinberg wrote the screenplay for Days of Future Past I'd be incredibly skeptical of the writing team for this one. Hopefully Age of Apocalypse is as good as DoFP, if so then I'll be very happy, if it's better then that'd be icing on the cake. If it's worse I'm going to look at the writers and their credits as the culprit. Fingers crossed. -b.

My Wheeljack(s) shall stay in my Private Warehouse at HLJ. I'm in no rush to have another Masterpiece Transformer, or two, sit in their boxes in my "toy" closet. -b.- 16946 replies

For the most part I agree with everyone's thoughts above, and while I had it on TV last night (versus watching Monday Night Football I might add) it barely held my attention. And with every other procedural police drama on TV this one has it's hook/angle and it's that it's a comic book property. If it weren't "Gotham" it'd have some other theme. But I honestly think it was more to do with the show coming out too soon post Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy as you can't help but compare Gotham to that. Oh, and Bruce's girly scream...ugh. -b.

You can search the original suggested retail price over at HLJ (www.hlj.com). Just do an advanced search for Macross/Yamato/1/60th scale and you should find the listings. Be sure to allow for Discontinued items. -b.

Nothing yet folks, just be a little more patient. As soon as there is news someone will post about price, availability, product details, etc. -b.

Yeah, it's hard to disagree with the points that review made - all, or most of which seemed to be valid to me. Even without having put as much time in on the game or having participated in the Loot Cave or Vault of Glass (mostly because I'm only level 19). Nice. Looking forward to giving it a go one of these days. The Sword of Crota wasn't, but there must have been a big enough issue with difficulty for a patch to address it. -b.

^No sir, not for me. 1/60 (or the approximate scale being used currently) works just fine from a playability, detail in design, display, storage and most importantly cost (although that envelope is being pushed). I decided to sell my last (3) 1/48 and I won't look back. -b.

Yep. I remember thinking there wasn't enough Godzilla action after I saw it in theaters and I felt the exact same way after a couple of home viewings. I won't touch the whole "human" character drama stuff, it's pretty par for the course with these type of big "disaster" flicks so I just look at it as a hazard of watching a natural disaster/alien invasion/apocalyptic event/large scale monster/etc. movie. -b.

Kind of a loaded topic/set of questions. I agree with Benson that you really should check out the following site as you'll find a lot of information specific to your questions; http://www.anymoon.com/blog/ That said, to try and answer in turn; 1) Less Detail 2) Personal Preference. The VF-1's from SDFM and DYRL are identical apart from a few aesthetic differences like color, head and/or hand sculpts. 3) Early Yamato version 2 1/60 VF-1's had faulty shoulder attachments prone to breakage, lots of info on the forums and at Anymoon. 4) Personal Preference again - for me my favorite VF-1 is the SDFM Max VF-1A simply because he's my favorite character from childhood. Followed by his DYRL VF-1S and the DYRL Cannon Fodder VF-1A. -b.
