    Truly. Hopefully the YEN to Dollar conversion rate remains favorable. I love HLJ because you can modify quantities ordered (which I did with a few other pre-orders to help fund this) without any grief or headache. -b.

    Good points, I don't necessarily disagree with your logic, you would think that Arcadia can and should add more print to releases and even with the YF-19 that was darn near naked it wasn't a huge deal breaker for me. And then you have a really good point below for why it might be good that Arcadia/Yamato don't or didn't add more. Guess it all comes down to personal preference balanced with real or perceived value for your money. Wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people feel that way, but also wouldn't be terribly opposed to having more print. I think it would all depend on the Valk and again, preferences. -b.

    Nope, not anymore (not since the 1/60 v1 where new to market). I have exactly one Valkyrie with decals applied and it's because I bought it from someone who customized, weathered and applied them. If I had the skill sets to use water-slide decals,and add weathering and protective coating so then I would. But since I have none of that, all my Valks are exactly as they are right out of the box. -b.

    Maybe Takara wanted to secretly punish all Hot Rod/Rodimus fans for liking a character that got Prime killed. Sucks too, Hot Rod is still my sorta favorite Transformer just because of how as a kid I thought he was so damn cool in TF:TM. -b.

    Good points about what the market can demand and sustain Gakken. So like always I guess it's just wait and see, but I'm still very interested to see what or if Arcadia will say to rationalize a SRP of 36,800 JPY. And all jokes aside I really do continue to get this right, from color, accessories, quality and extras like markings that are printed onto the Valkyrie. -b.

    True, the psychology of the purchase plays a HUGE role in the process. But I'm not sold on rationale that because people may be willing to pay thru the nose for an impossible-to-find sold out item so therefore they should be willing to pay thru the nose for a similar, readily available item. (Allegedly?) Priced at $ 400, I'm now more curious about Arcadia's justification for the price vs. whether or not they can get the shade of blue up to everyone who cares standards. -b.

    Now I feel like I need to re-watch the series and the movies. And Jenius, I agree that DYRL works better than the Frontier movies if looked at purely as a stand-alone film without a prior series or knowledge of events. As far as events and endings from the series to movies, I don't know if it was in this thread or another, but someone coined a phrase of "head-cannon" taking the events you like the best and making them what "actually" happened. I'm just going to do that re: Frontier. -b.

    Innocence lost for sure... Best post in this entire thread. You know, honestly I'm not usually that gun shy when it comes to price, but this was just so far above our own "set" expectations that you've got to expect some sticker shock. It has absolutely effected my decision on how many to buy (which is now 2 at the most). Besides when you look across the aisle and see company "B" producing Valkyries for the newest entry into Macross at darn near a 3rd of the cost it's a natural reaction to feel some sort of way about this SRP. And comparing what people are willing to pay after-market for an out-of-print item isn't really a good comparison to use when looking at something that is new and readily available (IMO). -b.

    Yeah, there is certainly the potential for interpersonal conflict between Rick and Carol, but that exists with pretty much any other character on the show. I got the sense that Rick may actually have moved closer to a Carol-type mentality in that he* wanted to go back into Terminus and eliminate any survivors, but that is very different from seemingly having less of an issue hurting members of the same group (Rick has done it himself though). I do agree that Carol may be on borrowed time, but I had that sense prior to her banishment last season. Anyway, hopefully the show keeps the foot on the gas for this season. -b. *didn't want to add a spoiler tag, so just highlight the "missing" text above to read it (it's in white)

    Interesting. I didn't get any tension at all between Carol and Rick and as long as both characters behave as if things are a fresh start they should be fine. -b.

    IIRC it was like $ 3.99 or something along those lines. I did have to go to a 2nd store to find a copy, they were sold out of the regular and variant covers at my "main" book store. -b.

    Can certainly see where you're coming from, and that may work in your favor as long as the 0D is a solid release and doesn't sell out immediately (or is still easily found). I sold my VF-0S(s) long ago because of the issues with arms and plastic and sagging cockpits in Fighter mode, I never even purchased a VF-0A, so I'm in for a VF-0D just so I can have something from Macross Zero back in my collection. And I'm a sucker for early adapting. -b.
