I think HG has all the Mospeada stuff sown up; the problem is the Macross & Southern Cross material. I heard BW owns the licence on Southern Cross to. Maybe that's why there hasn't been any movement on a masterpiece Hovertank yet.

My memories are a little fuzzy about the Birdman. He could Fold space right? I'm gonna re-watch my episodes of Mac Zero so I can see the connection with Mac F.

The main thing I worry about is the quality of the subs. If the Japanese subtitle themselves will we get Engrish & unreadable texts?

That was really good. I really enjoyed Maria Vu as Ranka; her voice really fit with Ranka's youthfullness. That clip leaves me hopeful for a possible U.S. release but I know that's a fleeting hope.

First MACROSS Frontier now Golgo 13! I'm in anime heaven! Episodes 1&2 were great; can't wait for three.

Yeah I saw that to; it was a parody on the Canonball Run movies starring Burt Reynolds & Dom Deluise. Frank Sinatra, Sammie Davis JR., Dean Martin, & other stars of the 80's appeared in those movies. Jackie Chan made his American debut in Canonball Run 2. Seth Green scored major points by getting Burt & Dom to reprise their roles.

I had a feeling they weren't related. Too bad; it would've been pretty cool if Alto's C.O.(possibly his senpai) was part Zentran.

I don't agree. Oh course Big West wants an open door to sell MACROSS to us westerners Besides Europe, I think we're the largest consumers of anime. With long running titles like Gundam getting second life here in the states I believe BW wants the same thing for MACROSS. A few years ago it almost happened when BW licenced MACROSS 7: Trash to TokyoPop. They pulled back when they found out that TP cut a side deal with Harmony Gold. HG even promoted the realese of TRASH on ROBOTECH.com.

Well in the anime realm they dubbed The Adventures of Captain Harlock(with Ziv Entertainment) & Captain Harlock & the Queen of 1000 Years(they tried to use the same formula as RT by merging two unrelated series together: Captain Harlock & Queen Millenia). HG also dubbed TOEI's anime horror specials Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned(based on Marvel's Tomb of Dracula comics) & Frankenstien. They were the first north american company to dub Dragonball. Finally, Tatsunoko & HG had a long relationship with international distrubution of anime so maybe some early Tats anime might have been distubuted by HG.

Duke, can you confirm this? The Valks don't have UN Spacy logos but they still look like variations of the VF-01 shared with RT. Even under a different name it's still MACROSS.
