Will their be a screening for the DVD? If so where?

While I'm on it, can someone clarify when the Macross Zero OVA and Robotech: From the Stars comic books began? Were the first chapters of both released around the same time as well? When thinking about it, were the vague similarities between both as coincidental? Macross Zero (OAV) Robotech: From The Stars (WildStorm/DC Comics) If there were similarities it was very very vague. From the Stars was sort of an origin story for Roy and have him battle the terrorists of the anti-UN. Now Macross Zero, the UN forces are still battling anti-UN but it's more about how the protoculture affected Earth's development. It seems in Robotech that Earth's first exposure to protoculture was the arrival of SDF-1 but in M0 the aliens had multiple contact with early humans. To be honest I think Zero has more similarities with Smallville than From the Stars.

That was a nice review of the panel. What I found that was interesting is that Carl planned to use DYRL as Robotech the Movie but the rights were too expensive. I always wondered if DYRL could fit in the RT universe and I always end up thinking no. Though, the feature doesn't really fit in the Macross universe either(a movie that generalized Space War One into a two hour feature; yeah right). I really believe if those Canon big wigs would've stayed out of it RT the Movie would've been a decent side story.

I always thought that the reason Jetfire was called Skyfire in the cartoon was that the jet was synonymous with Macross. So the look of the robot and any reference to it's transformation was banned. Though in the comucs it was still called Jetfire. I really bites that Matchbox couldn't make a fully transformable Valkyrie because the toy mold was co-opted by Hasbro.

The reviewer hit some major points that are undeniable. I own the entire set of "Prelude" and trust me it's not a pleasurable reading experience. It seemed to me they were cashing in or trying to make a sequel series to Sentinels but at the same time retconning the Sentinels out of existence. The book was too rushed.... Though, he was wrong about the aborted sequels; HG never tried to make a RT 3, 4, & 5. Robotech 3 was directly connected to the Sentinels and when that series fell apart so did RT 3. They said concepts from "3" made its way into the novel "The End of the Circle". Robotech 4 & 5 were like urban myths never confirmed by Harmony Gold.

The modern sound of music (Rock, Rap, Pop, etc, etc) owes a huge debt to this man. He revolutionized music video production and integrated MTV (In the early 1980's MTV had a policy of not playing African-American music videos). Michael Jackson destroyed that barrier. Thriller was number 1 for 83 weeks. His record of number 1 hit songs rivals The Beetles & Mariah Carey. His music was the blueprint of the 1980s. He was truly the "King of Pop"! RIP Michael Joseph Jackson!

Is the movie opening June 27th?

No not the Defenders with Hulk, Dr. Strange, Sub-Mariner, & the Silver Surfer but the Defenders of the Earth with Flash Gordon, Phantom, & Mandrake and Lothor. Though Defenders would be great cartoon but the closest we came to it was a episode of Justice League guest starring Dr. Fate, Aquaman, and Solomon Grundy. Hooray! My 1000th post; I'm a Global pipe holder!!!!
