Here's some of my VT-1 pics. I cut the stickers individually using a scissor after pealing it off from the sticker sheet. Making sure each cut is perfectly close to the edge of text/graphic. Almost all 1/60 'text' are small and measure 1mm or less. Smallest would be the word 'Danger'. Anyway, after a week of hard work, VT-1 is ready and I feel great. Panel lines are applied and I like it clean. Will surely do weathering later but not now. I like the new 'factory look'. Enjoy. ikhii

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Model Kit Thread Ver.3
ikhii replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
Hi, you'll be surprised that i did not do anything else than just panel line and sticker it. Out of the box is what is shown in the photos. Except for one part where I paint it white, which is the wing's missile cover. That part should be white in color so I use tamiya spay paint on it. Other than that, all are out of the box. I guess this might sound good news for those who don't have the time or equipments to paint it. It's just simply wonderful. Cheers, ikhii -

A great Kit for Ozma Armored. I loved it and it's really an engineering design. Hope to get my Alto later and add the new decal on it. Sticker would be easier but I don't like it as it comes off easily after a while. Cheers, ikhii -

Finally, my Ozma Armor is done. Check it out from the pics below. Just took some quick shots with a single light. Will find time to setup some proper light for some better shots It is a superb Kit and has great locking mechanism. Very solid feel and really surprised me. Really recommended to all macross fans. Cheers, ikhii -
Hi guys, Just finished my 1/100 VF2-SS Super Armored Pack. it took me 2 days for this baby (that's right, paint, weather, decal and so on). I got this kit last year but didn't have the time to mingle with it. Finally finished it and love it. I wish yamato can create one someday. I'll definitely grab one. Yammy, you hear me!!! Anyway, hope you guys like it. I wish i can do better job and if i got more time, will give it a much more detail retouch and weathering. Didn't really got the time to make some good shots from my mini studio, but will try maybe later. Cheers, ikhii

Hi guys, Luca took me few days to finish it especially applying the decal. Great kit and amazing details. Love it a lot and will surely shoot more photos later. -
yeh, will try. Saw some of your great work as well. Superb. Need to find some time for shooting. Kinda busy lately. . But the collection itself might need to slow down after this month. Kinda too heavy on the wallet. Almost USD 1K for this two months just spent on toys.

Hi MacrossMan, It's quite simple. The Weathering Master Kit is like a 'makeup kit' so what they say. You can just apply on the valks directly without worring about doing it wrong. Use a wet cloth to clean up if you don't like the effects. Dry cloth to dry it up and you may apply on it again. You have all the practice you need as you can 'undo' everything yourself. The good/bad news (depending on how you see it) is that it is easily removed. Sometimes when you transform it for few times, it may go off. So you can reapply them again or you can try to fix the weathering effect with coating spray. All in all, one weathering kit may give you more than what you bargain for. I used up only 10% of the kit for a total of 10 toys now (depending on the size). Very easy and great effects. Cheers, ikhii

Hi MacrossJunkie, I use Tamiya Weathering Kit Set D. Check this site for more detail. It works like a charm and it's cheap. You can do tones of valk with this. Cheers, ikhii

Here's a weathering work that I've done on my 1/60 scale. Even though it's not a 1J, I'm sure when I got the time to weather it later, It will look nice. This option is definitely more cheaper and productive.

Hi, maybe I could share some of my experience with panel lines on a 1/60 or 1/48 scale Yammy. I had tried the normal Gundam Marker GM01 and it does not suit my taste. The lines are too bold and dark. So I tried another one which works with Yamato tiny little panel lines. It's Gundam Maker GM21. GM21 has a soft brush tip like a white board marker and produce just sufficient amount of ink to go into Yamato's Panel lines. You can wipe it off easily and simple to use. The results are .... well, check it out on my VF1J. No thick bold lines. Very nice and neat. Oh, if you put some weathering on it.. it will look even more awesome.. Cheers ikhii

I've actually got the idea from one of our forumer. CF18. You may check it out. Thanks bro, will do more and later. Cheers. ikhii

Hi Miriya, I use Oil stain color on most of my destroids and also some orange rust. Mix them here and there and final touch up with silver paint for scratch effects. I'm glad to hear that silenthill. I am pleased that most of you like it. Thanks and more better pics to come. Oh, more surprise will be coming ya way. Promise ya that. Cheers, ikhii eer.. More Destroids anyone? ....
