Akira Takarada who played main lead character Ogata in the original 1954 Godzilla film and was in at least another half dozen other Godzilla films as well as many more scifi Toho films has passed away on March 14th. Growing up Godzilla films were a big part of my childhood so this hits kind of hard. I consider myself blessed I got to meet him at a convention a few years back.
