Thanks for the advice everyone! I think I've figured out why I stopped writing. I kept stopping to think "What would the readers like?" and realized that I wasn't liking the story at that point and so it was snuffing out my fire. I think this story is fine so far since it never had enough views where I was worried about that, but the next chapter is crucial for me since it sets the tone of the typical Macross love triangle. (Although this is more like a love square with a line from one corner to the other since both the male lead and female lead have their own triangles where their own relationship is a line in each.) Long story short, I need to write something just for me to get back into the swing of things and write what I love writing. (Music, mechs, love, and comedy.)

Thanks for the feedback! I agree that I struggle with transitions and am still an amateur, even after publishing one novel. I also 100% agree that fanfic is made for the author, although I think that is true for any work of fiction to an extent. I have a story in my head, a few songs, and flashes of Macross 7 and Macross Frontier that I want to put into a story. I also struggle with describing things because I can see them clearly, but I am not always able to put them into words. I'll try to rearrange it so the appendix is at the end, not sure how well Inkstone works like that, but we'll see.

I'm glad to see that 6 people have read at least one chapter from the link I posted. (Inkstone tracks reader count.) I was hoping for some feedback since I'm stuck writing chapter 15 at the moment, but I understand it is a commitment to read every chapter, and I don't really have anything to give in return.

Macross Destiny All original characters, but inspiration is taken from all across the Macross universe with an emphasis on Macross 7 (since it is my favorite). Two Macross fleets meet in high orbit around a small habitable planet. A lone Protodeviln lays dormant deep in the ocean, awoken by a new source of anima spiritia. The story revolves around Dirk Millo and his up-and-coming rock band The Red Bombers as well as Rayelle Venusia and her band Night Hawks that has a massive following on their respective Macross fleet.

I've been a big fan of the Macross franchise for a long time, and I especially love Macross 7. I started writing a Macross fanfic that I hope could fit in the Macross universe based on the history of the Macross animated series. I got immense writer's block with it but have started picking it up again so I was hoping to get a little bit of feedback from other Macross fans before I post more chapters. If everyone ignores this, I totally get it. 😅 Macross Destiny Macross 8 and 10 find a habitable planet, and both fleets have different ideas of how to use it. An enemy spurs conflicts between both Macross fleets. This is for fans of Macross, especially for those that loved Macross 7!
