Do y’all have experience with HLJ and their preorders? I got in on the VF-1S before the order stop but didn’t receive a notification of having one for my private warehouse. Fingers crossed.

1/144 wave SR1 Engage coming to a close. I think it came out OK. I’m having the worst time with dust and debris in my paint. Really annoying when going for high gloss look. Anyway, this build just needs a few decals and then it’s time to finish up that Hasegawa Regult that has been sitting in its box primed and ready for paint. Feels good to be building again.

The joys of building with and or for your child is the best. I set up a small bench next to mine for my kid. They are rocking out entry grade kits for now but interested in more complex builds. Such a fun hobby to share with loved ones. ✌️♥️

Getting closer to wrapping this one up. Just need to gloss it up, panel line/decal and glue it together. Having a blast with it but still struggling on proper air brush techniques. Doing a bit of candy color on the purple cockpit

I’d also like to see a tomahawk make a return. Can’t pull the trigger on the wave kit going for $120 or whatever on eBay.

I need to watch it start to finish. That being said, I have watched the beautiful battle between Milia “Miria” and Max lit by muzzle flashes multiple times.

I see that VF-1J sitting there. I also have a couple of those Armored Valkyries waiting in the wings. The VF-1J and 1A. Very excited for those big boys.

Finally got my basement bench up and running in our new place. I have a 1:72 Regult I need to finish up but got sidetracked by this Wave Corp FSS 1:144 Engage SR1. All primed up and ready to rock. Armor already has first layers down with a little purple crystal color on there cuz we are fancy around here. Haha Not much to see I suppose but I’m just sharing my joy of getting back to work on some kits. ✌️

Having moved into a new home around the holidays I haven’t had my bench up and running quite yet. So much unpacking and house updates to do. Anyway, I have been test fitting some FSS kits while sitting on the couch. Not ideal but you work with what you got. I can’t wait to dial things in and get these painted.

Was sick all week so I had plenty of time to slap together a test fit on the new VSMS Daccas kit. Have to say it went together pretty smooth. I’m not loving the ABS material for armor. It has a cool visual effect but wow is it brittle stuff and needing special care. Also note that superglue is not its friend. It will whiten the ABS. It’s fine I guess since I haven’t done any sanding or fine tuning on any of the parts and have time to make it right. Not a big deal to me, but the articulation on this thing is great. The new sliding joints are such a cool concept and the abdomen/spine has lots of dynamic movement. I have to say I’m really looking forward to more releases in this VSMS series. For what it’s worth I’m enjoying this one a lot. Happy holidays!

Found out later today that for a small annual fee people outside of Japan can get the GL membership. Easy peasy. I got one and it was like $5 US. It allows you to purchase exclusive kits of all types from Volks JP including the solid art kits “garage kits” if you have the $$$$ and lucky enough to win a lottery spot to purchase one which sounds wild. They also have some kits with shiny and or transparent armor that haven’t been available from the USA site. The red version of the Sirene F preorder goes live this Saturday the 21st “Japan time zone” Sounds like the green version preorder happens later in 2025. It has optional parts including a large spear which is quite a bit taller than the kit itself.

Yeah I reached out to the nice folks at VOLKS USA about new IMS kits. I guess the sirene kits will be available for preorder on the volks international web store (Japan) by GL members. Not sure what GL members are but I guess I’ll miss out on these.

🤤 I’m glad the IMS line will continue with the newer VSMS taking shape. Thanks for sharing. Wonder if they both come with alternate head options or maybe that makes the green the limited version?
