IIRC wasn't Season 5 the minimum syndication point, not to mention large enough to justify some effort towards a DVD release (extras)? Cyc

To date, we haven't seen any thing to that effect, either from HG or in the Japanese anime press. Not disputing that is a possibility, but have no proof as yet it is going to occur. Cyc

*points to pined TF thread* Licensed comics are a double edged sword, while they bring in ready made fans/sales, you have to jump through lots of hoops to meet the requirements of the licensor and the increased sales are for only the licensed title as there is generally little to no drift to the other original series the company produces.

Gotta part company with ya on that one Cyclone. I don't see Ghost World flying off the shelves the I meant lowest quality in regards to visual/authoring of disc, not content. It does occur to me that her hair like that makes her almost look like Ash from Avalon...

Toynami are sticking to type, with 15,000 of each MPC Alpha "volume" released. The Gakken are semi-rare. If you know where to look you can still buy them... just as the years go on the prices go up.

There is a reason why I frequently keep my hopes for comics/animation/video game to movie conversions low. Life is so much simplier... Cyc (who wonders why the lowest quality DVDs are the soonest to go out of print and reach 300% above RRP on ebay, ie Aeon Flux and MST3K Movie)

Don't bet on it. While HG claims broader Macross rights, with Mospeada they still seem to be playing by the old rules. Everything that came after they signed the inital agreement with Tatsunoko, most notably Love Live Alive, isn't fair game. Same reason HG's VF-4-X looks like the early Macross Perfect Memory version and not the later ones. That doesn't preclude them talking to the artist and getting the rights though... Cyc

They do have a point on the shoulders, it would take serious upper body/side section remodeling to make them work, and then it would probably suffer from looking really funky from above/rear. Though of course the "too hard in a transformable" doesn't fly with the Superposable version, where the same problem caused similar grumbles but people were willing to overlook it because we thought for the MPC version Toynami would.... um... Cyc
