I still find it amusing that they kicked the F-111's off the flight line at the RAAF base near my house for the fake Hammerhead mock-ups in the SAAB pilot Cyc

Shaggydog's extra long HAHA, and still messing mine up too. Cyc

Only a complete moron would pre-order them.... *begins to weep and hides his preorder slip* Cyc

She still wearing that silly barefoot costume...and now she's going to ride bikes barefoot too? Cyc
-
Or the later Harmony Gold release even. Ah well, if they had announced they were including the Invid Shock Trooper in it I would have been happy. Aiming for 25 of 'em Cyc

Draging this off-topic, but then all value has been extracted anyway and we're into "me too"-ism, but are you sure about that? Weren't we informed that the molds were simply too degraded and the project "on hold" aka dead? Cyc

When Keith said "zoomed out", he meant that Animeigo used more of the outer edges of the Macross film then did Robotech. Otherwise saying, you literally get more of the picture with the Animeigo Macross DVD's then you did with Robotech. Yes, as far as we know from pinging of those in the know, the original series footage (no idea on Macross/SC, but yes on Mospeada because that's what I asked about) won't be cropped down to Robotech dimensions, which also offers the benefit of claiming Remastered offers more picture... Australian release only has the remastered 5.1 track :/ Cyc
-
*smiles* Around 70-80% of the Australian population live in and around the 3 east coast state captials, so nuking Western Australia, apart from killing Perth, title holder for city furtherest away from any other city on Earth, doesn't do to harm Australia much as far as that image is concerned Cyc

Present release is already faux stereo/dual mono, so I'm guessing it'll be a remastered...and of course will probably be okay excluding one small error that causes me to tear my hair out whenever I hear it (aka Terminator SE) I'll probably end up buying New Gen, if only out of a sense of completeness. *begins to sob as the simple times of his youth come flooding back* Show has two names, being initally called Towards 2000 back in the early days but as they got closer to 90's they switched to Beyond 2000. Dammit, now I wouldn't mind getting a copy of the theme song Cyc

Legit R1 and R4 Robotech is Dolby Digital Dual Mono. You can have mono and it can still be Dolby Digital you know Cyc

None of my 10 Alpha's have had any problems in that regard That said, I can't remove the hands on my sole BC CF SP because the plastic is snapping on the plug at the bottom of the hand where the wrist starts... different strokes... Cyc
-
Or the fact they can only go so low otherwise they won't break even. $16 per disc equals Robotech DVD single price, and that wasn't even remastered. Cyc
-
Careful, he's quoting the Gamestop preorder dates and in an earlier post he steadfastly held onto the October dates Gamestop quoted no matter how many times people said Toynami had delayed the Alpha's til next year, eventually requiring an official HG rep to set him straight.... Cyc

Toynami Masterpiece Collection Voltron
Cyclone replied to Yamato Lover's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
Another vote for Vehicle Voltron. 'course we all know Toynami will only be doing Lion stuff. ....unless they also got the Vehicle rights even with no intention of ever releasing any Vehicle toys just to protect them from other companies... Cyc -
If they are bootlegs of the Complete Collections as they appear, then no they won't include the Sentinels. Of course the real Complete Collection of RT:Macross Saga is 6 discs, so it's not a 100% lock against that... Cyc
-
True, but for Macross World purposes, how bad the cover is appears is the prime point of discussion about the RT comics Cyc

Simple ADV: Large player in market Animeigo: Niche player in market ADV simply has larger market share and links with retailers than Animeigo. Cyc Sometimes I have to wonder if Animeigo was the best choice to have released Macross because of this. Mospeada and Southern Cross are a lot less popular and a lot less recognized then Macross, but yet the DVD sets for those two series have been appearing at a lot more stores (like Best Buy) and at much more economical prices then the Macross DVD sets. Animeigo pushing its Macross DVD's outside of the internet market has been kind of abysmal. This seems to add to the conspiracist theories that Harmony Gold is trying to keep Macross, even the TV series it has rights to, buried from the public. I seem to recall lots of people here prefering Animeigo release Macross because they would put more care and attention into it than other companies such as ADV... Cyc

How many of you have been booted from RT.com
Cyclone replied to jwinges's topic in Anime or Science Fiction
HEY! Stop stealing my plan! Well, okay, my plain involves more helping Mospeada and signifcantly less macross/big west, but basically the same seed idea Cyc -

No option for "never been booted"? Cyc -
Armo-Soldier -> Battloid -> Battroid Armo-Diver -> Guardian -> Gerwalk Armo-Fighter -> Fighter -> Fighter The size issue is a problem, but I don't mind it so much. The Legioss isn't that big, but is muscley where it counts. The price to size ratio though... Cyc
-
Strongly in the "Hmm...I wouldn't mind it" zone, but the expense of importing and shipping and exchange rates mean I'm not desperately stumbling over myself to buy it. Cyc
-
I still dip my toes in Robotech because in many ways that's the quickest way of find people who have an interest in Mospeada who might be interested in jumping across. But I sure don't do it by mocking and insulting them. 'Course I guess there are enough macross fans you don't mind alienating some potental ones... Cyc
